Diner Reviews
  • "We thoroughly enjoyed the homemade Kielbasa sausage and other specialties made from scratch. "

  • "Service was terrible! While I understand that one of the servers was in training, we still had to wait for a long time between being seated and ordering, between ordering and having anything brought, and between eating and getting the plates cleared and our check brought. In addition to the slow service, the food was not very good. The red sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee, the potatoes tasted like instant with no flavoring, and I'm pretty sure the beets were canned. The only redeeming qualities of the meal were the pate with the bread and the kielbasa and mustard! Ohh, and my beer... I would not go back, and I would not reccommend it. Very disappointing!"

  • "The food is very wholesome. It is very hearty and filling. They have a good selection of beverages and food. We enjoyed the music though it was very old and outdated B side songs. We enjoyed it very much."

  • "Cracovia is a delightful place with authentic polish food and an excellent choice of eastern european vodkas! The fact that Easter Sunday brunch found the place filled with quite a few native Polish speakers is testament to the authenticity of the cuisine. If you are looking for great Polish food, give this place a try!"

  • "The special Easter menu was traditional Polish Easter food. This is the best Polish menu in the Denver area, truly like grandmother used to make. "

  • "We never had been to a Polish restaurant before, which is funny since we've driven past this place dozens of times over several years. We were totally missing out. Did the dinner for two, which was perfect for those who have never enjoyed Polish dishes before. All the dishes were delicious; when the server asked if we were ready for the second set of dishes we were caught off guard and ended up bringing half our meal home! Highly recommend!"

  • "We have enjoyed two dinners at Cracovia and would highly recommend it if you are looking for traditional Polish food. The Perogis were delicious and the rib dish was also tasty. Service was great. The room was freezing but the server turned the heat up when we asked. Only three tables were full the whole time we were there so I hope the weekend business is better, allowing them to stay in the neighborhood."

  • "Despite it's undesirable location, the food and service were very, very good. The food was hot, delicious, and most imporantly authentic! I would recommend this place, and will for sure be going back even though I live in Boulder."

  • "Cracovia has an extensive, authentic Polish menu that is prepared as it was by my grandmother while I was growing up. I wished my entire family were able to experience this meal as I enjoyed Kapusinak (sauerkraut soup) and golubki (stuffed cabbage in mushroom gravy). wonderful meal and service. Great Authentic Polish experience!"

  • "Great place to get authentic Polish food. Love EVERYTHING that I have ordered from there. Boyfriend's Polish grandfather loves this place and we take him there whenever we go to visit Denver. I especially enjoyed their sampler platter... LARGE portions! Two of us shared it with lots leftover! Kielbasa, perogi, stuffed cabbage, YUM! Wish there was one here in Hawaii!"

  • "Cracovia is 40 miles from where I live and I would make the drive EVERY time! My wife and I had the dinner for 2 package so we could try a little of everything. The perogies we excellent, the stuffed cabbage outstanding, the home made kielbasa is the best I ever ate. We went with friends that grew up eating Polish food and they loved it as well. Everyone should try it!"

  • "We tried Cracovia Saturday before a play at the Arvada Center. And were interested in trying Polish food as we will travel there soon. Portions were large, so we took home enough for a supper for 2 last night. My sausage sampler appetizer arrived on a sizzling platter and was tasty, altho the accompanying mashed potatoes were basically unseasoned so I added a bunch of salt and pepper. My husband thought his beet soup was very good, but his pirogi sampler was on the bland side, with too little filling for the thickness of the dough. But maybe that is how they are made in Poland. Our son had a pork schnitzel entree' and cleaned his plate. The accompanying cabbage dish was excellent, as was the apple cake we shared for dessert."

  • "Had a great time! Was unsure about going out for Polish food as we never tried it. Located in an old strip mall we found it was a tasty surprise! Since we weren't familiar with anything on the menu, we simply ordered the tasting menu for two. Our favorites were the beet soup, definitely the cabbage rolls, the cheese pierogi's and the house-made kielbasa. It was very reasonably priced. Don't miss the blueberry pierogi's for dessert. We heard about the 'live music' (basically a one-man band with a backup karaoke system) and how loud it was- well, we thought that was the best part! It was hilarious and loved the fact there was a dance floor too! Dinner and dancing- who gets to do that anymore? We will definitely return!"

  • "Unlike any other... Food outstanding and recipes true to form-not Americanized. This is the type of place you take friends almost apologetically; but, as soon as the reality sets in that this is the "real dea " you suddenly become the genius who found it."
