  • "I have been to a lot of high end restaurants and this restaurant has that high end feel and taste without the high end price. i had the pan seared scallops to start and the del monico steak for an entree and both were very good. I am very picky, I have sent many dishes back to the kitchen if i wasn't satisfied in the past and i was absolutely content with my mean at Cotton, it Honestly feels like the kitchen staff and the front end staff truly cares about quality. i would recommend this restaurant to anyone who values exceptional dining."

  • "No matter when we go to Cotton, we always have a delicious meal with great service. We think it is one of the best restaurants in New England!!!"

  • "We heard that it served comfort food, and we heard right. But somehow fried chicken and mashed potatoes make for a happy experience. Even the bread was special. We make it a practice to arrive in Manchester at dinnertime."

  • "We visited Cotton on a Saturday night for dinner. We has a reservation and were greeted and seated promptly. First impression: Why are seated in the bar? My husband booked online and didn't notice any reference to table preference. Is there any? It would not have been our choice, however we decided to stay because the restaurant was full and even the dining room area is crammed tightly and the noise level is the same everywhere. We ordered drinks and they were mediocre versions of standard martinis. Dinner was below average, dessert stodgy. The menu never changes, it's noisy, service is so so. We've tried Cotton several times over the years and always feel the same. Favorite fabric, worst restaurant. At $70.00 each, it isn't good enough."

  • "Everything was awesome, I had a bite of my wife's steak.. not awesome, but not bad... maybe because the scallops were unbelievable. Martinis were the best. The waiter was awesome, perfect timing on everything."

  • "This was the first time I had ever been to Cotton. My wife and I enjoyed it so much it will most likely become a regular thing. Food and service were both outstanding. The experience was elegant and fun. Great view from our table."

  • "Great lighting, atmosphere and charm. once he finally arrived, the waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was a bit uneven. Two of us but our dishes were very good. To fill they were just ok. One in our party ordered a steak medium rare. It came well done. I will definitely come back to this place for the atmosphere alone but I feel the food could be better."

  • "Cotton has a great bar area and consistently provides good quality food and great service. Glad that the outdoor patio will be opening soon. It is one of the few downtown outdoor spaces that doesn't have you right on the sidewalk."

  • "Never been to Cotton - had not heard of Cotton - but sure were glad we turned on to it! - Went to Manchester for a concert, wanted to find a fun but nice place for dinner to kick start the evening before before the show…and there it was - Cotton. Yummy cocktail (Aviator Martini). Great food (I had the petit filet cooked - cooked to perfection and my husband had their lobster and scallop ravioli). Great service (busy girl, but always pleasant, smiling and "present and attentive" when she came to our table). I would recommend this restaurant with no reservations - they are doing it right!"

  • "Very busy Saturday night. Made a reservation using open table, was seated immediately. Service was great and didn't feel rushed despite how busy they were. We had met some friends there whom we hadn't seen for several years and we felt very welcome and unrushed. The food was excellent and my friend had 2 Martinis she said were awesome."

  • "Whether you are a Martini fan or not, these concoctions are perfect. The Asian Pot Stickers were an excellent appetizer. My girlfriend and I each ordered the Grilled Delmonico Steak, which was cooked to perfection. We split the bacon bleu cheese butter and port wine mushroom sauces. Both were equally as impressive. It is worth a visit to Cotton if you want a quality food and dining experience."

  • "I have been coming here for years and the restaurant is truly a gem in Manchester. The menu pretty much remains the same over the years, but they alwayus have a specials menu which usually includes seasonal foods. The service is top notch and you cannot go wrong with the value and quality of food you get! Highly recommend!"

  • "First time dining and a superb experience overall. Food is reasonably priced And excellent. The martinis were made with the perfect touch. Would dine there anytime."

  • "I was attracted to this place because it was advertised as farm to table. I was disappointed to only see 3 things on the menu that were clearly labeled which farm the products for that recipe came from. I'd like to see more labeling of which farms the food is coming from. It would have impacted my decision as to which meal I would have picked. Asian pot stickers was our appetizer. They were seasoned well and appeared to be homemade. I ordered the Steak Latour and my wife ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli. The steak was to be on the rare side. It wasnt cooked evenly. The center was on the rare but the edges were close to medium well. The reduction was good as was the seasoning. Ravioli was very good. Our cheesecake desert was also great."

  • "Only complaint was the rude hostess. I call to tell they I was running late for our reservation, and if they could hold The table. She replied no, the resturant was running tight on times. Ok, not a problem right, I got there 5 minutes passed our time and was seated quickly. No problem right. Here's the problem, the place was not packed, in fact there was 6 open tables throught out the night. Never once was it " tight" at all. I almost cancelled my table and went somewhere else."

  • "Decent place to go for dinner and drinks. Hostest and waitress were mildly interested which was a bit surprising as the place seemed to have a lively feel. Food was just OK. For an app we had the pot stickers. They were excellent. I had the retro meatloaf with all you can eat mashed potatoes. Note they didn't tell us what that meant and they were runny so I didn't ask. Meatloaf was 2 pieces and dry. The sauce was amazing but very little on my plate and used up halfway through the first piece. The scallops and sweet potato hash was okay said my date. Bread was delicious and the drinks were perfect as well. I also chewed on ice for most of the meal as my water was never refilled."

  • "Lately Cotton seems to be a hit or miss. Overall it's good but this particular evening, we felt rushed by our wait staff. It was Sunday night and not the busy so we weren't sure where that was coming from. Good was good but the music was not dinner music and fairly loud. I love Cotton but this visit wasn't worth a 5 star rating."

  • "When my husband and I were deciding where to go for our last date night before our baby came, I chose Cotton because the first time we went I LOVED the farmhouse salad. Once again, it was delicious. I got the buttermilk fried chicken which is excellent. My husband got the meatloaf. We were both very happy. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but not overbearing. The first time we went, we were seated in the "lower" level in the long row of tables - that area is a bit too cramped for me so I was pleased with the seat we got towards the back of the bar area this time. I felt that it was a bit more private which I enjoyed. This is a great place, can't wait to go back when I can enjoy a cocktail!"

  • "Overall a great experience. Food was a bit on the salty side (i.e. my wife couldn't finish the hash browns that came with her scallops. Drinks were excellent and the service was great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great time out!"

  • "Fantastic place. Went for diner before a show at The Palace. The service was very high quality and the food was fantastic. Beautiful decor, nice lounge set-up (which we will try that next time). Given the entire wonderful experience, the prices were quite reasonable. We recommend Cotton to anyone who enjoys fine dining."

  • "My husband and I went to Cotton for the first time and we were overall very impressed...nice atmosphere, food was good but the service was slow. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks to come from the bar and 40 minutes for an appetizer..and then I would say another 20 for our food (grilled chicken). We thought they should have more staff on if they can't keep up with speed of customers."

  • "Cotton is a great place for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. Great food and wine & cocktail list, and in the summer a small but romantic outside sitting area."

  • "There aren't too many places that can get away with offering meatloaf and chimney rock Cabernet on the same menu! But Cotton does manage to bridge the gap between the Hanover Street Chophouse and the Red Arrow diner in many respect from ambiance to physical location. Cotton is sure to satisfy the Goldilocks in all of us; not too hard, not too soft... It's just right!"

  • "I recently had dinner at Cotton. The service was superb. The food was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was electric with vibes of a large city upscale restaurant. Loved it and would gladly go again and recommend it to others. If you are in Manchester NH make this your place to dine if you only have a one meal opportunity."

  • "Location was wonderful, parking was terrific and wait staff was fabulous, Waitress was very attentive without being overbearing she allowed us to relax and enjoy without rushing through dinner. Dinner and dessert portions were presented nicely and larger than expected! Cocktails were extremely well done. Will be back!"

  • "Chose to go to Cotton on a recommendation from a co-worker. The ambience and service were very good and the menu choices all sounded wonderful! The food quality, however, was no better than I could have gotten at any of the corporate chains; ie, T-bones, Panera, etc. The chicken satay appetizer was absolutely tasteless. I ordered the scallops which were beautifully cooked, but came with a sweet potato hash which was seasoned like a chili - very spicy and didn't compliment the scallops at all. My dining partner ordered the butternut squash ravioli which tasted good, but were literally served in a bowl of clarified butter. Very unappetizing. We did not order from the bar or have dessert."

Cottons Management made the necessary changes and accommodations we now needed for (4). The four of us had a great evening and thanks to the Management & Staff for making it happen. Great atmosphere and affordable great tasting food."
