A word from Corner Kitchen
Tucked into a quiet corner of Biltmore Village is one of Richard Sharp Smith's original Tudor Style cottages, and one of Asheville's most surprising restaurants. Chef Joe Scully brings years of culinary experience to bear in his special North Carolina take on Pan-American cuisine (he calls it "Caromerican"), while host Kevin Westmoreland makes you feel as welcome as an old friend at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Dine in the sunny “Side Porch”, where tables cluster around a generous bar, or in one of the cozy fireplace rooms - upstairs or down. When the weather's right, relax on the Patio and take in the singular beauty of Historic Biltmore Village. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your next meeting, luncheon or other group function, call or email and make arrangements for an unforgettably great special event.

We now have a new favorite restaurant in Asheville. The Corner Kitchen came so highly recommended that we never thought it could live up to our expectations; It far exceeded them. From the friendly staff (every single person spoke to us) to the incredible location and ambiance, to the absolutely perfect food, we were blown away from the moment we walked in the front door. From the basket of mixed breads appetizer to the Pecan Crusted Mountain Trout my wife enjoyed to the Sweet Mustard Glazed Three Meat Meatloaf that I had, we could not have been happier with our meal. The service was absolutely great. We were well taken care of, but never to the point of being obtrusive. Carefully researched beer and wine list rounded out a perfect night!!

We went for restaurant week and were glad that we knew it was going on since the waitress did not offer the special menu to us. We noticed that was true for the other diners that night as well. Their menu included the fried oysters, which is a favorite of mine at Corner Kitchen. The trout was delicious and the bread pudding was the best I have had. We had a nice, reasonably priced bottle of wine. It was a great meal.

The food, as always, meticulously crafted and pleasing to the palate. Atmosphere comfortable, vibrant and good energy. Pecan crusted baked brie on arugula with marmalade and balsamic drizzle was a great way to start meal. The Almond crusted Trout was incredibly tender and flavorful. Would recommend CK to anyone desiring well crafted comfort food in a friendly atmosphere. Reservations always recommended as locals have long known the quality of this restaurant.

We had dinner at Corner Kitchen on 9/21/14 after spending all day at the Biltmore Estate. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time, but were seated on time. The upstairs dining area was cozy. Our food was quite delicious and our server, Stacy, provided outstanding service! We would definitely return to Corner Kitchen when we travel to Asheville again.

Everything was perfect except when our waiter rolled down the shades when the sun was getting too bright. To our surprise and amazement, there must have been ten or so stink bugs clinging to the shades. A couple of the waiters came with towels to "collect them" (The shades were one inch from our table), but it certainly was not a pleasant beginning to a nice meal. They need to fix that!!! I kept looking under our table to see if they missed any.

So we went here when in Asheville to visit the Biltmore based on a few recommendations from friends. The setting was so nice, informal, but interesting as the restaurant is housed in one of the original homes in the Biltmore Village that had housed workers from the estate. The food was amazing, better that even expected in an area that caters to tourists. I had the steak dinner and each element was tasty and all the flavors went together perfectly! My husband had the chicken and it was moist and delicious too! Do not miss this spot if you are in town for a visit!

Have dined here many times and it is always, always so perfect. The food is simply outstanding. There's enough variety to never get bored with the menu and each and every dish is heaven. This particular visit I took an out-of-town friend in hopes of impressing. It certainly did the trick. He told me it was the best barbecue sandwich he ever ate! That's saying a mouthful from a man who has impeccable taste. The staff is always so very, very pleasant, too. All hail Corner Kitchen and thank you again!

We have eaten at Corner Kitchen almost every time we have been to Asheville. The food has always been good but this time it was outstanding. I had the pork chops and my wife had the flounder, they were both incredible. The only negative is that they do not offer much of a selection when it comes to wines by the glass.

For our first time in Asheville, I researched restaurants on line and found the Corner Kitchen. We had a wonderful three course dinner and enjoyed it so much, we went back for lunch the next day. The food is fabulous, healthy choices and not overly expensive. The 100 plus year old house was quaint, and although we ate inside, there was a nice patio available too. I highly recommend reservations or you will have a long wait....but worth it! The Biltmore Village has such great history and ambiance, and this restaurant fits right in with that vintage feel. We really enjoyed shopping for local art and then we both had incredible salads for our second visit to the Corner Kitchen. The beer and wine list is good, with local flair.

We knew that the ambiance in this 100-yr-old "English cottage" would be great, and the place had a good rep among foodies. All of this was true, but: 1) The dining room we were in was too dark 2) Service was "casual" at best, slightly condescending at worst 3) Food was not hot 4) They charged for a basket of good ciabata, so-so corn muffins. Charged? In Asheville?? Come on! In sum, interesting location, interesting menu, not a meal to write home about.
