The menu includes hearty pub classics with and without twists, vegetarian and ethnic specialties, lighter dishes to satisfy wee cravings, and homemade soups and sauces. Our happy hour highlights a round-the-clock sense of value, with a diverse appetizer menu and loads of drink options. Our Wee Lunch, which includes salad, fries and wee sandwich or burger, is perfect if you normally don’t split or share items. We haven’t limited ourselves to traditional Irish fare – healthy choices abound which will satisfy your hard-working appetite any day of the week.

The Pub Life is our heart. Relax with a newspaper and a 2 Gingers Whiskey, invite some friends for stimulating conversation over perfectly poured pints, or engage in some old-world-inspired friendly competition over a game of darts or billiards.

Whichever you choose, come in. Make yourself at home. Stay a while.

Diner Reviews
  • "Irish Pub? nah, not if you've been to one in Ireland. But a great alternative to good Chinese food on a Sunday with your wife, son, daughter in law and granddaughters aged 14 and 12. Lots of brews for the adults and good bar food in huge portions. We have been here when it was mobbed and you couldn't hear across the table but as of late Sundays have been far less crowded and the noise level quite pleasant. Ersatz Irish, you betcha, but nonetheless a good time and a great value."

  • "We like Irish pubs, and while we've been here before, I don't recall such an enjoyable experience. Our waitress was cool - attentive without overbearing. The food was amazing too - my Canadian Walleye fish and chips melted in my mouth, and my fiancé's lamb burger was fantastic. I would have preferred better descriptions of the beers. Unfortunately there were two families with kids that were loud but overall it was fine. I'm surprised it wasn't as crowded as the mexican place down the block but that suited us just fine since we don't like loud or crowded. We'll be back to Cooper!"

  • "The decor in the place is definitely more upscale, yet I felt relaxed and at home. Service was great, as was the turkey sandwich/fries. Will definitely return!"

  • "When you go to the Cooper at the West End Shops, in St. Louis Park, you are greeted by at least one friendly host. Even if not all of your party has arrived, if your reserved table is ready, they will seat you. I had the Cooper Breakfast, which consisted of Irish Ham (thinner than Canadian Bacon, but made a touch crispy), their version of hashbrowns (tasty and creamy, perhaps with some type of cheese in them), two eggs, and whole grain toast. The toast was a treat in itself. The food arrived fairly quickly for a Sunday mid-day. Our servers (shift change during our visit) were friendly, helpful, and ready with refills. I'd eaten here before, but only for appetizers. But I shall certainly return the next time I am in the state!"

  • "While not a 'real' Irish pub, the effort is credible and straight forward. Decor is warm and inviting with the food being very good. I would recommend whole heartily. Great for just a drink or lunch/dinner. Two thumbs up!"

  • "The food was awesome. The server wasn't very friendly. I didn't like being seated next to the window with someone right on the other side. It was a great night."

  • "Initially was disappointed to discover my Open Table reservation was not outside as I had requested (apparently Cooper cannot guarantee outside seating) but they worked with my group and were able to accommodate us on the patio - yeah! Our waitress was very attentive -- and friendly, and food was good (primarily appetizers ordered). Later that evening we had a scary incident with one of our party choking on an item and gasping to breath. The waitress quickly got the attention of one of Cooper's bartenders currently enrolled in nursing school, who calmly handled the situation - to the relief of our party! A big thank you to both waitress and bartender!!!"

  • "Food was very good and service excellent. I would hesitate going again since the noise level is so high it is almost impossible to visit with others."

  • "This restaurant has great food and a great happy hour. My group of 5 gals enjoyed sitting outdoors this past Tuesday evening. If you are looking for a good venue with reasonably priced food - I suggest you visit Coopers Pub! I loved it!!"

  • "Wow...what a great selection for brunch. Really enjoyed the variety and tasted wonderful."

  • "We ate at 4:00 so maybe that's the reason, we were seated in the bar under the TV and next to groups watching the World Cup. We had asked for patio because we thought it would be colorful but quiet; however there was torrential rain. We had also asked for a quieter area. The bar was not it. I wanted to impress my partner with the great beauty and ambience of the restaurant and stated so in my reservation. The bar isn't that impressive. We will return but be more specific in the reservation request."

  • "Outdoor dining for our group of 5, could have seated up to 8, but only at two spots on corner of busy intersection. Side spots for 2-4. Good umbrella coverage for those who want some shade. Service was excellent, very attentive. We loved the fish tacos, chicken potstickers(?), humus with veggies, and fries, also delicious cucumber- infused vodka gimlet cocktails, all at happy hour prices (can order up to 6:30.) Would recommend as good spot for meeting after work or before/after movies at Showplace Icon 14. Free and easy parking and access underground with elevator or nearby ramp parking. Shop a little too in convenient stores of the West End (Anthropologie, Hot Mama, Lululemon etc.) Open Table excellent for reservations!"

  • "Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. The location is on a very busy street, which created periodic challenges with road noise while dining on the patio, but we we knew that going in. Wine selection was affordable."

  • "We went to Cooper's Pub for brunch on Father's Day, it did not sem that busy but we had a long wait for our food."

  • "Waited and hour and 15 minutes for our entrees while others around us were being served, and we had ordered quite a while before them. My husband's meal was cold. They offered to correct that but at this time we had other things that we needed to do and to wait another hour was not in our schedule. The restaurant did not appear to be that busy for such a wait. The wait staff apologized several times before our food was served and did not charge him for his plate. The calamari appetizer was good but the rest of the food was really not worth the wait. We will not visit this restaurant again. Very disappointed!"

  • "The waitress was very nice, and warned us that the kitchen was slow. But then more than an hour passed before we got our brunch, which is way too long. I won't be going back."

  • "Cooper is a very nice restaurant with a bit of an old fashioned feel. The rich décor and large mirrored walls made it feel like I was in an old ballroom. The food was delicious- my appetizer of Chicken Pops had a great whiskey glaze, and the fish & chips had a perfect light breading. My cocktails were well made and refreshing, and they have a great Irish whiskey selection. I was there from 5-6:30pm on the Sunday of Memorial weekend, and it was not busy at all. Other restaurants nearby seemed to be packed, but Cooper was nearly empty. While it was nice to have a quiet meal, I wonder if the restaurant is having trouble competing with the newer, flashier restaurants around it?"

  • "It was the perfect spot to meet up with old friends. The food was great - the service was excellent - and to top it off we sat outside enjoying a great evening. We didn't have to shout to hear each other. We will definitely come back. "

  • "Great menu. Reasonable prices. Our server, Morgan was a gem. Mentioned a small issue that didn't bother us but thought they should know. Manager came right over and insisted that we enjoy a desert on the house. Very classy attitude. Will be back!"

  • "Took group of six on a Thursday night , I was the only one with prior (lunch) contact. All five first-timersloved the food and our server but said the noise level prohibited any normal conversation. Too bad. This appears intentional given the design. Go for the food and service, but be prepared to yell across your table if the place is crowded."

  • "We were at Cooper's Pub on Mother's Day--we had a reservation and our table was ready for us--no waiting! The server was very helpful in recommending menu items and describing the specials--everyone really liked their choices. It was a little loud at times--there was a hockey playoff game on and the Wild fans were cheering goals."

  • "Took my 81 year old Mom; her 82 year old boyfriend and a friend of mine there for Mothers Day. It was the perfect place to go. Both of the elders had no difficulty hearing and they enjoyed the ambiance and food! :D"

  • "We went there for Mother's day celebration for my wife. The food was very good pub food. My teenagers had fish and chips from the menu. My young one had the mac'n cheese with fruit, which looked like Kraft, but he was happy with that. The servings are large so encourage splitting if you're not a big eater. My wife had the pub breakfast and I had the Irish breakfast, both of which were tasty. The noise level was a high, so it was difficult to hear each other across the table at times. Service was excellent. "

  • "My Cobb salad was the worst ever! it was described as romaine and I got a crisp but tasteless iceberg, with the smallest pieces of bacon and cheese possible. It was a flop! The tomato soup on the other hand was great, very tasty. "

  • "I hadn't been to Cooper in a while so we decided to give it another try. Very busy at 8:30 with positive good energy. Servers were friendly. Food served quickly. Despite one issue with reservation, we had a good time. "

  • "We took our kids before seeing a movie on a Sunday night. It was not busy (the only time I've seen it that way.) Overall the food was really good. Jennifer warned us of the horseradish in the mustard for the pub pretzels (good thing, she wasn't lying!) I'll say my side salad was a weak attempt but overall the dinner was good. I'd go back with friends or family."

  • "Mobbed and I feel sorry for the wait staff if the noise level is the same every night. "Energetic" is hardly the way to describe the noise level, but an over amplified rock concert might be a better description. If you want to carry on a conversation at your table without screaming find someplace else to eat on Saturday night. Otherwise good "pub food" and beer."

  • "This was a perfect spot for my birthday happy hour - they were super accommodating with my large group, tons of people were coming and going at different times. The food was great, happy hour prices until 6:30 (awesome), and overall a great atmosphere."

  • "Parking described as below restaurant. I drove to the spot directly under the place. No elevator. Parked in the middle by the elevator. Very long walk for the handicapped. Found out afterwards there was an elevator closer but not where I expected. Now I still had to walk to the car. I chose this place because do their parking description. Please understand how upsetting this is. However the food was good and the waitress perfect. "

  • "Great order off the menu brunch. Bloody Mary & other breakfast drink specials. My husband loves what they call their brunch potatoes and their bacon. Kids under 11 eat free. Overall a great value. Also they take reservations which is not the norm for a lot of breakfast spots."

  • "I asked in the reservation to be sat by the window if possible and we got a nice table right by the window. Perfect. "

  • "Had reservations at 7:45 and were seated immediatly upon getting there at about 7:40. My wife and I had already looked over the menu online so all we looked at was what we were going get for dessert. They have many different options for food and what we got was quite tasty. It seemed like service was a little slow but that may partially be because we already knew what we wanted and had to wait for the server to return. I would be aware that you shouldn't send the server away because you need more time to look at the menu. I could see that the server might not make it back to you for 15 or more minutes. We were almost done eating before he came back to check on us. We were out in about 45 mins though so we had good luck! We'll be back."

  • "While the restaurant is fairly busy on a Friday, we were quickly seated coming 15 minutes ahead of our scheduled reservation. Really enjoyed their lamb burger and expanded list of beers. The atmosphere is definitely noisy and busy, but very comfortable. Didn't have any issue holding a conversation."
