  • "With so many places closed on July 4, I searched out Opentable to find a place open for lunch that day. We wanted to stay out of the Short North due to the Doo Dah Parade, and CFM fit the bill. We were celebrating birthdays, and wanted something nicer than a sandwich shop. All of our lunch entrees were delicious. The crab/spinach/artichoke dip appetizer was plenty to share for the 6 of us. A small slice of Shark Fin Pie came out with a birthday candle! Thanks for an enjoyable July 4th lunch!"

In fact we have just decided to give up on all the Cameron Mitchell restaurants since the food and experience continues to slip. This restaurant was much like an overpriced Red Lobster except that a Red Lobster being a chain has some quality standards and processes regarding food and service. This is just not worth the visit."

  • "I find it hard to believe that a restaurant of this repute is unable to cook a steak medium rare as requested. The first attempt was raw, the second attempt (re-cooking the first steak) was merely less raw, but nevertheless, not medium rare. Notwithstanding my request that the steak be taken off the bill since Imhad lost my appetite for steak, the chef never less came out 10 minutes later now offering a completely new steak. Apparently, not only are they unable to cook a steak properly, they apparently do not listen to diners' requests either. An altogether singularly disappointing experience."

  • "We have eaten at Columbus Fish Market many times. Our experience on June 29, 2014, was a disappointment. For some reason it took an extremely long time for food to be prepared and finished. The manager did her best to apologize to people, going from table to booth to table. The waiter told my wife three times that her drink was coming up right away, only to wait 15 minutes for it. From the time we placed our order until the entrees arrived was 55 minutes. The food did not seem to be as good as usual--perhaps a result of our mental attitude. The manager gave us a free dessert, but the evening was seriously compromised by whatever the restaurant's problem was."

  • "We dined at the Columbus Fish Market twice last year at this time, while we were here for a competition. We loved it. One of the times last year was with a large group, and service was excellent. This year, it was nearly the opposite. We were not seated for almost a half hour after our reservation time. A server who was in training was assigned to our large group, and she struggled with minimal supervision. Meals were delivered to the wrong people, etc. She was trying her best, but I've never been to a nice restaurant where the trainee was not constantly paired with their mentor, and note the restaurant was not full, so they should not have been that swamped. The resaurant has gone downhill based upon our experience."

  • "I had reservations for 6:30 for my son and me. We arrived at 6:30, sat at the bar and ordered our drinks and dinner by 6:40. At 7:30 we still had not had our entrees served, so we left without dinner! We had concert tickets for an 8:00 show. I am very disappointed in the slow service."

  • "Made a 6:15 pm reservation early enough to attend an 8 pm concert Unfortunately the restaurant was completely unprepared for the evening. By 7:30 pm we had not received our meal and had to leave. We also saw many other customers experiencing the same issue we were. I find it difficult to understand how a well established restaurant can be caught so totally off guard. Historically we have loved this place but with so many fine dining options it will be difficult to put them back at the top of our choice list."

  • "Our waitress was very kind and helped us get acquainted with the menu since it was our first time dining there. The sourdough bread appetizer was delicious. The salad had a unique house poppyseed vinaigrette dressing which was very good. We heeded our waitress's recommendation and ordered the Copper River salmon - what a great choice! The red-skin mashed potatoes were something to write home about as well. A great dinner at a friendly place!"

  • "I wanted to treat my family (4 people) to a nice dinner. It had been a long time since we had last been at this restaurant but I remember our previous experience being nice. This time, we waited 20-30 minutes to get our first drink. To be fair, the waiter did say that they were unusually busy that night, and I could have excused the poor service if the food quality was worth the price. I expect a $25 dollar meal to taste fresh and well made. I could taste nothing but salt in the dish I was served, and the other's at my table had similar complaints. Also, the noise level made it almost impossible to have any conversation. I will not be returning."

  • "This meal was marked by amateurish, disorganized presentation and attention to detail. No bread or water appeared for about ten minutes until I asked for it. Our drinks did not arrive until after the appetizer appeared. The bar was out of its top whiskey and the waiter, when asked to bring an equivalent of another brand, was clueless. When our drinks finally arrived, the whiskey and 7 was filled to the rim making it impossible to pick up without spilling. My wine arrived in a glass with spilled wine up the sides, totally unprofessionally poured. The server should not have delivered improperly prepared drinks. A call to the manager corrected the wine and she comped the appetizer. Overall, the food was good, but the service poor."

  • "We always go to the Fish Market to celebrate special occasions or just when we want good ambience, food and service. Our family went to the Fish Market last week-end to celebrate our mother's 90th Birthday. What a treat! Everyone was so attentive to her and us! The food was marvelous as was all the staff at the restaurant. Customer service and wait staff are wonderful. They served a small cake we had brought for my mother and they served it with candles and good wishes. She even got a rose! We are grateful to the Fish Market for making my mother's birthday such a special and enjoyable celebration!"

Our salads arrived before we finished our appetizers, and the dinner arrived while we were still eating our salads (and we aren't slow eaters). Also, we ordered cappuccino and it was clear the waiter was dismayed by the order (apparently they make the cappuccino and it takes a long time)."

  • "We found two mistakes on our bill! First, we were charged a bowl-sized soup but were given a cup that I did not know till later. Secondly. my husband substituted the sticky rice for salad ( it was suggested by the waitress) but we were charged the salad at an addition. My husband said the scallops did not have any flavor. My angel hair with shrimp was not presentable! I could see 8 white shrimps with some noodles only, not any trace of sauce or any garnishing or any other ingredients such as nuts, onion, bell peppers and herbs."
