"the setting is beautiful, especially, when on a warm evening without strong winds, you can dine outdoors and enjoy the ocean views.there were three of us. one ordered the snapper, the verdict was "ok". one ordered flounder which was good. i ordered a pork steak only to be informed minutes later that they were out.so i had the flounder too.it was not bad--not over-cooked, always a challenge with flounder. the hostess and server were pleasant.it just took too long for food to come from the kitchen (the dining room only seemed to be half full) and WAY too long a wait to see if we wanted coffee/dessert and to get the bill.if cobalt could raise the quality of the kitchen a notch or two and improve the training of the staff, it'd be fabulous."

"We come to Cobalt every year when we visit Vero. The menu is difficult as the descriptions do not make food sound interesting. Many big words. But the food is excellent and we very much enjoy dinner.
Our experience at brunch was not as good. It took over 1 nr to see food and then they were out of grapefruit. The omelet had been special ordered and came out not to dietary requests. A healthy omelet was soaked in butter and vegetables were a
Sp buttery. Good but not what was ordered.
Lunch is always good and relaxed."

"Food and service were both poor...Not eggs benedict, but some concoction benedict w/sausage and fish...The omelet was "hunky" and uninteresting and our server was disaster. Coffee had to be stirred w/a fork....no spoons! No offer of water, no service for 1/2 hr after being seated. The other servers looked busy and competent, but ours was either not very skilled or trained. Finally the manager brought our food (almost wished he hadn't it was so unappealing!) First cup of decaf had been made 2 days before or so it seemed, second was much better and we even got a spoon from the server when we asked!! Asked for lemon w/water and never got the lemon. Disaster.....and not worth the $$$$$ for this. Good food and service at many other places in VB."

"Attentive service. Excellent food. The only complaint concerns the valet Parker, John. The first impression of Cobalt and the beautiful Vero Beach Hotel and Spa. Unless he is actually a mute, there is no excuse for not welcoming guests, thanking guests, making eye contact with guests. He was quite rude. A bad first impression."

"Menu is a nice diversion for Vero Beach. Fish dishes are good with a variety of flavors and preparations. Some loud children during first half of our meal. The wine list has very few varietals and predominantly California andacific Northwest wines. There are some rich dishes that deserve better wines and more choices. Ambience is very nice and elegant. Would like some more interesting meat dishes like a lamb or filet as standbys. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable."
