  • "This was our first time at this restaurant and we loved it. The food was outstanding and the service wad excellent. Do not let the location and outside appearance worry you. You will not be disappointed in trying this restaurant. We will be back on our next visit to Orlando."

  • "We were hoping to dine in a casual Italian restaurant and to spend a relaxed evening. The food was not better than average, main course was not even warm and when returning the plate, I felt like it was my fault. The waiter was pushing hard to sell us plates we would never think of ordering and he was just very pushy. We ordered a good bottle of Cabernet, but then the waiter recommended an other, Italian wine and mentioned that he usually sells for a higher price but today would give to us for the same price... To avoid further discussions, we took the Italian wine, but honestly was not worth the money at all. Would simply bot go back. Sorry ?Ciao Italia."

  • "We went here for the first time with a backup plan but didn't need one. The place is quaint, the staff are attentive, the food delicious and the prices reasonable! Thank you open table for helping me find the perfect family owned, off the beaten track Italian restaurant!"

  • "First decent wine. Next the bread, warm and with a deliciously hard crust. We shared the eggplant rollatini. They were warm on the outside and very cold in the middle - without much taste. One of us had tortellini with pesto which was tasty but over-cooked. Another meal we had was Pappardelle with wild boar meat and cherry tomato sauce. It was really delicious, very flavorful, but a bit greasy and marred once again by overcooking the pasta. One of us ordered another glass of wine which never came. When we told the waiter to just forget it, he said that he forgot and brought over some complimentary espresso. We also were informed that they do not have decaf capuccino. We skipped the dessert. I think there might be better choices in Orlando."

  • "I had eaten here twice and love the chicken dishes. My dining partner had the ravioli and it was delicious. Being an Italian it is very difficult to find food that taste like "mom/nana" makes and this is darn close. The meatballs were large and tender but I would have preferred a liitle more garlic to be added. The bread is amazing and that served as my dessert. I would recommend this restaurant to my Italian friends and relatives any day. Sometimes this restaurant can be quite noisy and others very quiet and romantic. A large wine selection was provided. Excellent wait staff...very attentive."

  • "Excellent service and food, authentic Italian menu, food and atmosphere. Highly recommend. Everyone in our party agreed this is a restaurant we WILL return to when visiting Orlando again!"

  • "I was looking for something in the Orlando convention area that was off the main drag and not a chain restaurant. This turned out to be a great choice. There were three of is in our party and we had a 6:45 reservation. When we arrived I wondered why I even needed a reservation but by 7:30 the place was filled and is clearly a hot spot for the locals. Good food and service as well as reasonable prices. It was just what we needed."

  • "Start to finish it was a great experience at a very reasonable price."

  • "Good service mediocre food - most everything on menu filled out with spaghetti Prices reasonable for tourist area"

  • "I can see why this restaurant has been located in this dingy strip center since 1991. Very mediocre Italian food. So many better choices in the area."

  • "Great local restaurant with very good food and menu variety. Wine list was good and the service was excellent. Very accomandating staff that was helpful when we had more people than reservation and they responded on a very busy night. This was a business dinner with customers and I would definately go back!!"

  • "This was a great restaurant. When full the tables were not too close. The food was great. It was loud with everyone having fun with quite a few large groups. Difficult to talk across the table without talking very loud with our group of four. Not a good place for those with hearing aids, except the food was excellent."

  • "In a non-descript shopping center, next to a dry cleaner, this is an absolute gem! The food is fantastic - fresh, perfectly prepared. It is traditional Italian in virtually every way. And the service! Terrific."

  • "The ambiance is very nice. My companion enjoyed his veal parmesan but thought that the tomato sauce tasted like watered down sauce from a bottle. My lobster bisque was nice and his veggie chowder was tasteful but only contained potatoes and carrots without any green veggies like beans or peas. A little more effort on the veggies would be advisable. The waiter forgot to bring our bruschetta bread."

  • "Fantastic authentic Italian food with outstanding service! We had to wait a bit to get our order taken - the waiter gave us each an extra glass of wine to compensate. The tiramisu was to die for! Highly recommend for some awesome Italian food."

  • "Recommended from the marriott front desk. Food was good, very hot out of the kitchen, service was very good. Nice wine list not too expensive but not cheap. We liked it."

  • "Excellent dinner. Lucked upon this gem by accident last year when here on business. Now I make a point to get back anytime I'm in town. Great food, great atmosphere, attentive service from a wonderful family."

  • "Reservation made 2 wks ahead for 3 people. Afternoon of reservation, I rcvd confirm call from restaurant for time and # of people. On arrival, I was told reservation was for 2 so they put us at the worst table in the restaurant. Only one person was allowed to sit with the back to the cabinet so they could get into it as we dined. Mind you, we dined early evening and the restaurant was 10% full when we arrived and only about 35% full when we left about 1.5 hours later! Very disappointed and will never go there again nor would I recommend it."

  • "Starting with organic / free range grass fed meats and wild seafood, how can things get any better? They do, when combined by a great chef info fabulous meals. The Bruschetta looked, smelled and tasted so fresh - and the seafood lasagna - words can not do it justice. Great meal at a great price - we will be back."

  • "Great little place in Orlando for authentic Italian food with an authentic Italian atmosphere. All 3 in our party really enjoyed their dishes, but the bone in veal special was certainly the highlight. Ciao has a great wine list too, featuring classic wines from all the major regions in Italy, suggested and served with expertise by the wait staff. There is nothing over the top fancy about this place, but it reminds me of the really great family restaurants one can find all over Italy for just great food, great wine and a great energetic atmosphere!"

  • "Celebrated Valentine's Day with friends on our first night in Orlando on vacation. Delicious authentic Italian cuisine. Good service and ambiance. Excellent caesar salad. Enjoyed fresh spaghetti con Vongole. Ended meal with authentic lemoncelo flavored granita in a lemon shell. Haven't seen that since Sorrento, Italy. Will go again this trip."

  • "I was a little uneasy when I arrived at this restaurant as it sits in a very sketchy shopping plaza south of International Drive. However, when you get inside the atmosphere is totally unexpected. It reminded me of some of the nicer restaurants in Rome Italy. The food was very well prepared, and they even have gluten free pasta. I loved the shrimp and scallops prepared in a Grand Marnier Cream, and my husband couldn't stop talking about the seafood lasagna. The waiter, Roger, was outstanding and very attentive. Their Sommelier is very knowledgeable in his craft and recommended the best Pinot Grigio I have had in a long time. We will definitely be back."

  • "Ciao Italia is, is in my opinion, the best Italian restaurant in Central Florida. Outstanding food is cooked to order. Service by Michele was very professional, timely and unobtrusive. Excellent menu with the usual entrees. We have dined there many times and each time we are reminded of our favorite Trattorias Trastevere. We shall return. Kudos to the staff and management for AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN RESTAURANT. Keep up your excellent standards."

  • "This little restaurant is in the middle of a seedy-looking strip mall, but it is so perfect! A charming Italian spot reminiscent of small cafés in NYC. Authentic, fresh, delish!"

  • "This restaurant takes you off of international Drive gives you an experience like your dining at a local restaurant. And you are. The food was great and it was great to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the area."

  • "In addition to the outstanding authentic food, the service was great. The staff were very attentive, without being overbearing, and knowledgeable. Seemed like all the staff were either family or friends of the family which made it ever more so authentic. Tables are pretty close together, and it is very energetic on the noise scale - so it won't be a quiet experience. It is exactly what I would want from a great Italian joint. Don't let the location in a strip mall be offputting, it is the real deal!"

  • "Met some friends there for dinner, first time for us, we were in Orlando from MD, nice enjoyable evening, food.. Great, service ... Excellent, wait staff was attentive to our needs but not in our face all the time.. Great timing between appetizer and main course.. Enjoyable evening.. Friends, good food and great vino, what else can you ask for..lol"

  • "I ate at this restaurant this past summer and LOVED everything. I could not wait to return, Unfortunately I live more than 2 hrs away. My daughter wanted to go to Disney for her birthday, which gave me the excuse to go back to Ciao Italia. I emailed the owner ahead of time and even worked out a birthday surprise for my daughter. The food is EXCELLENT. The service is 5 star from beginning to end! If you are ever in the Orlando area this is a place you don't want to miss!"

  • "Ciao is always a favorite after a hard day at the Orlando Convention Center. The food and wine always outstanding. Be sure and make a reservation and I suggest getting there by 6:30 or 7:00. It only takes 5-7 minutes from the Hyatt Peabody. The place is popular and gets crowded at the evening wears on. The food is authentic Italian and in 20 years I've never had a bad meal."

  • "We were visiting Orlando and our hotel had recommended this restaurant. What a find! Located in a strip mall near a sports bar and could easily be missed. I had the eggplant parmigana and my spouse had the fruits of the sea. Both were absolutely the best. Expertly prepared and the homemade pasta to die for. This is a family run restaurant and they pride themselves on satisfying their patrons. No full bar but the wine selection was very nice. Here for only a week and we have already made a reservation for a return visit. Reservations are a highly recommended but they did manage to accommodate walk ins in a reasonable time."
