  • "It was my going away party, 10 people showed up and most of them had drinks, for food the black laab is one if my favorite, discovered an awesome desert: s'mores -- yes you have a REAL FIRE to prepare your s'mores... This is insanity! I love that place, the drinks are awesome! And the food is great too :-)! Oh also they put "Farewell Audrey" on the menus and gave them to me at the end!!! Such a great souvenir :-D!!"

  • "The service was terrible. The waitress was rude and never checked in on us. She was with her friends at a different table the entire time. She even sat down with them. Such an embarrassment to your establishment."

  • "Was very nice more expensive then your regular place but for the exotic foods and excellent service worth every penny was noisy but even for being busy excellent service fast and very hopping exciting place"

  • "A chaotic, not eclectic, menu and unnecessarily lewd jokes on the menu and the T-shirts of the servers make this less than pleasant dining experience. Instead of being fun and interesting, as we had heard this place to be, it was distracting, impossible to converse at our table, and embarrassingly vulgar. And the food was simply not that good. The menu is so disordered as to be nearly impossible to decipher."

  • "We loved it! Great unique food and truly the "experience" we were looking for."

  • "Loved the lighting and music. Fun drink list and wide variety of food options. Wouldn't come here for intimate conversation due to noise level but we were fine with it! We will be back!"

  • "It was my second dining experience at Chino Latino, and it was just as great as my first. Our waitress went above and beyond with her service and gave excellent recommendations. It's the perfect place for celebrating a special occasion."

  • "Chino Latino is the best restaurant. I wish that we lived in Minneapolis so that we could eat there more. If you are questioning whether you should eat at Chino Latino... the answer is yes."

  • "Chino Latino is a great place to go when you have a group who likes to share small plates. Their small plates were very generous and every item we ordered was fabulous! Our server was very helpful in making suggestions and modifications for our order (due to food allergies). I would definitely reccomend this restaurant."

  • "If you are looking for a loud, vibrant young crowd this is the place. The service was very good, and very fast our waitress very pleasant. The food reminded me of pig slop, especially the shrimp curry. Too bad."

  • "I had my 18th birthday dinner there and it was fantastic. They had an awesome surprise that I didn't expect, but they wrote 'Happy Birthday Salina!!!' on the menu, and that was just very cool to me. The food was great, I loved the Chinatown Lo Mien, very delicious. One thing that I disliked was how dark and loud everything was. I could barley see where I was going, plus walking down the stairs to get to our table was very difficult to see, also didn't like how the bathrooms were set up. Overall, I had a good time. I would recommend it to people!"

  • "A really fun place to go but make sure to reserve on a slower day. Very busy but still great service and awesome food."

  • "We went with an out of town group because we heard it was a fun hot spot - good to see and be seen. It was so loud we could not talk to each other and the menu was overwhelming. The waiter told us we could only share because the portions are so large (true) but it was even too loud to discuss what the group wanted, which was really their own food. We would have chosen a different restaurant if we had known in advance."

  • "The food was ok. My food was over cooked and dry. The other girls weren't too crazy about their dishes either. I usually come here during happy hour and order off the happy hour menu. Almost every time I come the service has been extremely slow. We spent a total of 1 hour and 35-40 minutes here, most of the time just waiting. I would only recommend this place for late night dinners throughout the weekdays during happy hour."

  • "I was disappointed in the quality of food but happy with the variety available. the three dishes we chose were average for those dishes. so I won't go again til I've exhausted other options or have no other choice."

  • "If you like extreme noise levels and food bordering on very spicy then this place is for you!"

  • "probably not the best place to take my dad who is hard of hearing. however, the food was great and we had a really great time pigging out on oversized portions. service was fantastic as well."

  • "We celebrated my daughter's 14th birthday at Chino - Great food, fun, festive atmosphere. Interesting mix of options that even my picky eater enjoyed."

  • "We had heard much about Chino Latino and decided to try it out for our anniversary dinner. We ate early (5:30ish) and didn't experience the vibe and ambiance that other reviewers have noted. No doubt things pick up later in the evening. The food was excellent- interesting and flavorful and we look forward to trying other menu items in the future."

  • "Very nice, fun place, good food but extremely loud. Very difficult to talk to anyone, to place an order... you get used to the noise but still, it would be nice to be able to hear what the person sitting next to you is talking about"

  • "Chino Latino is my go to place when I've got friends visiting Minneapolis. An incredible mix of awesome food with changing specials makes Chino Latino a great place to enjoy a weekend night with your besties."

  • "We were 5, one ordered separately and the remaining 4 ordered the Laab, egg rolls, small tagine and big peanut curry, it was SO MUCH FOOD! We actually wanted the big tagine and suggested we only take the small version so very good service!! The drinks were very good too! The hibiscus margarita especially. I was really good food and great sharing concept. We also had the fried ice cream, delicious, not super enthused about the snickers fried but well that's ok. The space is HUGE and we were in the lower level, it would be nice to go again and get closer to the outdoor seating for more light but it was a cool lounge area so either way it works. I will go again for sure."

  • "I really enjoyed my time at Chino Latino. Great place to go to celebrate and hang out with a group of friends and family! The noise level is great because you don't have to worry if you're too loud or not, which is great and was one of the main reasons I chose this restuarant for my birthday and not to mention the food is AMAZINGLY delicious!!!! But the S'mores are my all time favorite!!!"

  • "Loved everything about it. Had a group of about 25 people for dinner and drinks. Very cool decor. We had a private room with small street-side patio all to ourselves. Molly, our wonderful and attentive server, took care of all of us crazy people. The ambience was such that we just stood around, eating off of platters of delicious sushi, satays, Caribbean and polynesian delights. The bar program is top-rate with fun drinks. We will definitely be back. Great for group events - take your team to someplace different. Trust."

  • "Make sure you are hungry when ordering "little dishes to share." If a guest and you order the Hot Zone Spare Ribs (Jamaican jerk) , the Salt & Pepper Shrimp, and the Bang Bang Firecracker Wings, you will be taking food home."

  • "When we first arrived with a reservation for 5, we realized indoor seating was too loud for us. We requested patio seating and they accommodated us immediately! It was perfect. Our waitress was very helpful in helping us decide how much food we should order and describing the food options. Had the Pineapple drink and it was delish."

  • "I went here for a bachorlette party I don't think I or any of the other girls would go back. Maybe we picked the wrong good, but none of us were impressed/ or sent it back because it was really unpleasant. The seceive was really good and the food came quickly which was good. I am sad it wasn't very good, because the atmosphere was amazing."

  • "China Latino has a unique vibe, delicious food, and signature cocktails. Our actual dining experience could have been negative if Chino didn't bring it together perfectly. The restaurant is LOUD on a weekend night. There is a lot of going on but it fits when the food starts rushing out. Go with a big group. Don't order more than one of any single dish. One big and one small/per person and you will be very full. The food comes out at a stressful pace, but it a fun battle for a bite of everything. Very fun."

  • "A great pklace for a larger party, we had nine, 6 adults 2 preteens , 1 child. The menus allowed us to order a wide array of uniquw dishes. All were great."

  • "My husband and I went to Chino Latino on a date night. We had never been, but had looked over the menu before hand and being international food-lovers, we really wanted to check it out. We got the Polynesian Pupu Platter and it was amazing. We split it as an entree and left more than full. We loved the variety of foods and the flavors were awesome. We had the Flandango for dessert and also enjoyed it, although it was not as good as our meal. The service was pretty slow to start off with, but still acceptable. The atmosphere was pretty neat. We enjoyed our experience and would go back."
