A word from Chef Warren's
Neighborhood bistro that keeps you coming back to try the things you didn't have room for .... Marianne's organic garden supplies Warren's kitchen with his beloved fresh produce and both are actively involved in the local food movement.

Chef Warren’s serves fusion cuisine - with a firm base in classic French (due to Warren's Culinary Institute of America education).

The ambiance is fusion as well - bistro style that is at once classic and comfortable with the added feature of an open kitchen so foodies can watch the work in progress.

Marianne runs nightly wine by the glass specials that allow you to try lesser known wine varietals, and the staff serve up amazing mojitos.

Warren and his wife Marianne have spent the last thirteen years delighting diners with their worldly cuisine and genuine hospitality.

  • "My husband and I cherish our date nights at Chef Warren's. The unique dish specials, the fantastic service and romantic ambiance keep us coming back for more. I work in a real estate office and when clients are looking for a "taste" of Southern Pines I always recommend Chef Warren's as a "must"!"

  • "Chef Warren's was a recommendation from a co-worker. My wife and I spent our 13th anniversary dinner there and were very impressed. We are both retired military and have dined at many restaurants all over the us and abroad. We would rate Chef Warren's in the top ten!! The salads and entrees taste and presentation were outstanding and the service was on point. Perfect blend of attentiveness without being pesky. Loved the dessert as well and th e staff was very personable. Will definitely be back."

  • "A thank you to chef warren and his wife for making our trip to Pinehurst notable. Our first time in this area and we struck out on every meal but this one. A must do reservation for those used to the bigger city culinary choices. We will be back and hope Chef Warren may visit New York."

  • "I took my sister, brother-in-law, wife and two young children here as a group belated Valentine's dinner. The meal was spectacular! We started off with tapas, had some salads and then entrees which included pate, bison, steak, and trout. The presentation was great and the flavors were perfect! Even though the restaurant isn't designed for young children and a toddler, they were more than accommodating and very friendly with my children. It was a great experience and we look forward to returning again soon."

  • "Chef Warren's open kitchen was a notable welcome feature on Saturday, with temps outside in the teens. Maitre Marianne always gives guests a warm welcome so it is a pleasure to dine there. The menu, though not extensive, covers all the bases and Chef makes sure everything on offer has its own special touch. Local sourcing is a strong point here. The wait staff is professional: always timely, never rushing. This is a great neighborhood bistro."

  • "I surprised my husband by taking him to Chef Warren's for his birthday this past Saturday night. When I made the reservation online, I noted that I wanted his desert to have a candle in it to celebrate his birthday. I was pleasantly surprised when they actually did this. It was nice to know that someone actually read what I wrote. We both enjoyed the two specials they had that evening, which were absolutely amazing! We ended our dinner with the chocolate peanut butter creme brulee. It made for a perfect sweet treat to share (candle and all). In addition to the food, the atmosphere was one of my favorite parts of our dining experience. It was like we were in a different country. I highly recommend dining here."

  • "Three of our four dinners were fantastic. However, what we talked about the most after our experience was the impersonal, unfriendly service. Our waiter never introduced himself choosing to approach the table with a flat "You guys want some drinks?" That continued for the duration. At one point we asked for more bread. After waiting much too long, we finally asked a busboy who brought it promptly. Maybe he should be promoted."

  • "The entire experience was wonderful. I made a reservation a few days in advance for my wife's birthday and then the day of was told by her that it would be too late and she would be starving. The day of I made called to try and see if they had a table available for earlier in the evening and they were more then accommodating. We live about an hour away in Fayetteville and made the drive that evening. It was located on the corner of the block and my wife was delighted about the location and aesthetics as it brought her back to her Washington State ideal of what a small town should look like. Everything was wonderful the portion were generous, the service was beyond our expectations and all in all we had a wonderful night."

  • "My husband and I both ordered the special. It was not as the waitress described and my husband was very unhappy about that. He was right that the description was inaccurate. But it tasted okay. He said it wasn't worth what we paid. The restaurant was very expensive."

  • "I hate that it took us this long to go to Chef Warren's for the first time. The customer service was very good despite the busy dinner crowd. The restaurant is a neat combination of nice/gourmet and also relaxed/family because the staff works as a team and part of the kitchen is in the dining room. The only downfall was that it is pretty noisy but it quieted down as people left. We ended up drinking the wine specials instead of from the wine list because they were so good. We also appreciated the full bar.The food was fantastic, I mean everything was good from apps to desserts. Particularly the steak frites with "cheese fries" and the best pecan pie I have ever had. Thanks for a wonderful night, we can't wait to come back!"

  • "We dined at Chef Warren's on New Years eve. The restuarant was nicely decorated for a festive experience. The food was all excellent, the service attentive but not overly so, the wine recommended by the waiter was perfect for our meals. This is not an inexpensive place but you get what you pay for. It's nice for special occasions."

  • "A Halloween night found us traveling thru NC to find via OT such a special place. Open kitchen and long wall baquettes lend a relaxed, but special atmosphere. Hostess led us to table in an oriental shift costume while all wait staff were costumed for the occasion. Our server in gypsy garb was a pure delight. Especially lovely eyes and personality. Entrees came exactly as menued or described specials. Wines, including specials, were broad based yet paired well. Overall a delightful evening. Worth the drive off I95 again. And soon."

  • "We had a great experience. The entrées and even the appetizers were so unique. I mean who else has kangaroo? It just tasted so amazing. This was my wife and I's fourth wedding anniversary and we had an amazing time. The service was great and our waiter Was very knowledgeable and recommended great drinks and awesome appetizers That complimented our entrées perfectly. My wife had the duck and I had the bison and both were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The pecan pie is one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. I think it's almost better than moms. We highly recommend Chef Warrens and will truly be sad next year when we have to move away. It is absolutely a perfect romantic getaway for us."

  • "Chef Warren's has the perfect ambiance: the lighting, seating arrangement, faint music in the background is divine. The service was impeccable: staff was knowledgeable and still personable. The bench seating, along one main wall of the restaurant, is comfortable and the throw pillows add to your relaxation.the misconception that local "farm to chef" experience comes with a hefty price is shattered with the multiple dishes that are available for under $20. the bread and soups are worth the visit alone. The menu is eclectic and can entice anyone to indulge. even with an open kitchen, the level of professionalism is never compromised. Chef Warren's is a great choice for all occasions."

  • "This restaurant was excellent. You can tell the food was prepared with thought and care. The menu was very unique - not overpriced, typical food. I loved the creativity! Out of all the menus I studied in Southern Pines, Chef Warren's seemed like the best, and I was not disappointed."

  • "My experience at Chef Warren's is always incredible. The food is fantastic and the service is top notch. One of my favorite aspects of this restaurant is the focused menu. Some might call it "small" or "limited," but I believe that having only a handful of dishes allows them to focus their efforts and showcase the seasonal selections. Chef Warren's is easily the best restaurant in Southern Pines."

  • "My wife and I have been dining at Chef Warren's for several years. The service is excellent and the food is always wonderful!! We appreciate that everyone is very friendly but not intrusive. The Bistro Salad was fabulous and the "obscenely huge" pork chop did not disappoint us. BRAVO !!!!"

  • "The portions were more than adequate and the main courses were very good. Our only negative comment was the French Onion Soup was somewhat cloying.........way too much cheese, and somehow it was too sweet. Some sherry in it would help, and less cheese; could hardly find any broth. The kangaroo appetizer was interesting, and good. So, now we've had that. Duck and salmon entrees were very good, but again, too plentiful. Although it's not a bad thing to take enough home for another meal or two!"

  • "Interestingly, when my wife and I tried calling to get a reservation at Chef Warren's, we could not get a live person on the phone, so we made the reservation through OpenTable. Although there was nothing available for the night we wanted, or the next night so night # 3 was it. We expected the place to be full, but quite the opposite. It was a Wednesday night, but there were only about 6 or 7 tables taken so we could figure out why we could get in the previous nights, and wondered if we had made a mistake. We hadn't. The food was awesome. All of it. The prices were reasonable. The service was pretty good and overall we had a great meal and happy we were persistent enough to keep it on our schedule."
