Central has been added to our "date night" line up. We will most definitely dine here again. They had run out of snapper and substituted swordfish and it was great meal. The flavors were spot on. Matthew our server appeared to be fairly new, but he was certainly giving it his all. The hostess graciously accommodated my request to move to a side booth since I forgot to request that when I made the reservation. It was her first time. Our server, Tim, was very attentive without crowding us. My wife ordered her filet medium-rare, then after several bites, decided she actually preferred it cooked medium. The kitchen not only cooked it more for her, but returned the plate with a fresh order of potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms. As other staff walked by, they would top off our glasses if needed. As always, the service, the staff, the ambiance, and especially the food, were excellent and made for a very enjoyable dining experience! We stumbled upon this restaurant and were SO pleased with our experience. The ambiance is great, the service was outstanding and the food was superb. The prices were pretty reasonable - we had an appetizer, bottle of wine, two entrees and dessert, and (after tip), the bill was about $150. Central has a very interesting menu, and I will definitely be back. The dinner dishes showed originality, local food sources, and sensible portions. We returned on Thursday to try two more dinner dishes, which were also superb. Your restaurant was the only one for which she had positive comments. And our waiter was great; I believe his name was James.

The decor is stunning, the service has been mostly good, and downtown is a place to show off... I have always been confused and bothered by the waiter’s attire. It just seems so off from the mood and setting of the restaurant. I have always wanted them to be dressed in slacks, white shirt and skinny black tie, OR- let's be honest... anything other than jeans and a hoedown plaid shirt. It negates the beauty of the restaurant. I have found the food to be inconsistent. One person loving it whiles the other finding it nondescript. Located in an old building with great decor and vibe - waiters in jeans & plaid shirts, exposed brick and fabulous windows. We loved the menu and our waiter helped us pick excellent wines & dishes. The only disappointment was my son's mac & cheese side dish - not much flavor. We dined early so the noise level was very pleasant ... not sure what it would be like later in the evening. It was cooked well but was nothing interesting so thought it was WAY overpriced. My friend ordered a fish taco that was so full of small bones she had to send it back. The server was gracious but I thought management was remiss in not coming over to apologize to her.
