"Nothing short of fantastic! My teen aged kids, my husband and I dined there. We ordered appetizers and main courses. There wasn't a plate we didn't enjoy. Absolutely everything was delicious and the service was excellent."

"We had the breakfast buffet - good food beautifully presented, though hot foods should be hotter. The waiter was uncustomarily less than attentive to coffee refills - didn't get one until our cups were empty and we hailed him, about 20 minutes after we sat down to eat. Still, we love this place for a special breakfast (or dinner): the food is nearly always exceptional, the ambiance is great, the help is always gracious and generally extremely attentive, all tables have a nice view either into the very pretty restaurant or onto the grounds, parking is easy and free (even with the construction currently underway in the area), and you can stroll the grounds after eating (particularly beautiful in Spring). Highly recommend!"

"We weren't quite sure what to expect from our first visit to Carolina Crossroads. The restaurant was more laid back than expected in terms of dress required (anything goes) and ambiance. The service was impeccable. My wife ordered from the tasting menu and found her appetizer and salad to be overly salted; my appetizer was the same. However both entrees were exquisite and worth the trip. She doesn't ordinarily order duck but that was the entree from the tasting menu and she loved it! The restaurant appeared to be a mixture of families and couples on "special dates" from the local university."

"I had Carolina Crossroads for dinner, so though I can't speak about their lunch menu, I have seen both menus and the dinner seems to be quite a bit more upscale than the lunch menu. The service was good and the food was GREAT. I got the shrimp and grits, and it was delicious. It also came in 2 sizes and the appetizer size was perfect, it's really filling. My boyfriend got the scallops and bacon and said they were perfectly cooked-and anyone knows it's easy to over- or under-cook scallops. Also, the sweet tea was the best sweet tea he had ever had, and we have both lived in the South our whole lives-so that's saying ALOT! We'll definitely be back, and recommend it to anyone!"

"We only get to Chapel Hill about once a year but have come to the Crossroads probably 4 times. Each time we have been completely satisfied and intrigued b/c each visit has been tailored to us. Yes, we made reservations and noted I am a vegan who does not abide mushrooms but the server approached the table with that information from the beginning. It was just delicious, interesting, appropriately paced, and just a thoroughly wonderful evening. Can't say anything better!"
