  • "We really liked the food. Bravo to Chef, but service was little strange. As soon as waiter foubd out that we are not throwing and big buck on 100 items vine list (which is was pretty pricey), his service went from 10 to about 4. Plus we split the food, because of dietiry and food for small portion was pretty expensive. Oh well, would I reccomend for food, yes, loved it, would I go back to the same sever, not to sure. I guess expectation on gratuity is pretty hight in Vegas struggle economy, but we suppost to tip on service, not a food, right? Maybe come back, someday."

  • "This is the 2nd time my wife and I have dined at CarneVino and we have extremely enjoyed each experience. We can not wait to come back. I was a teenager back in the 70"s and I was so excited when we heard Jimmy Hendrix playing for our dinner. It made me smile the entire meal long. The waiter said it was his private play list. I have a very rare Jimi Hendrix album (yes vinyl) that is titled "Cry of Love". It was his only love song album. I would be willing to share is with Mario Batali if he is interested in adding it to his playbook. Again, Thank You for the great memory"

  • "Best dry-aged steak I've had, and I'm picky. We arrived as a group of nine and were promptly seated. Our server picked a smattering of dishes for our courses, to include hand-carved steak tableside. The carpaccio and octopus were excellent and I have to recommend the ribeye for steak, which was better than my normal favorite of strip steak. The wine list, to say the least, is thorough. You have everything from moderate to well beyond most budgets. This comes with the assistance of a sommelier. The only odd thing was the music. It came one band at a time through five to six songs of each. Odd. If you want to go semi-big to big in 'Vegas, get in some CarneVino!"

  • "6 friends and I went to Carnevino to celebrate my birthday. The wine list is huge- easily over 500 wines. I was surprised there were so many pastas on the menu and few steaks. I ordered the special - a 9 month aged rib eye = $108. Not really worth it. All the sides and appetizers were really good but seriously expensive. The bill with no alcohol and no tip was $600."

  • "It's had been a year since I was last there and the food and staff were better than I remembered."

  • "Love this place, even five years later the food is as great as it was the first time. Attentive service and engaging staff make for a great experience. We took our kids, ages 8 and 10, this time and although the portions were a bit small for their hungry appetites, they loved every bite. They left a bit hungry, but a big scoop of gelato on the way out of the Palazzo solved that!"

  • "Food was ok, but for the price I would rather go to a cheaper place. The server kept trying to sell sauces for a $50+ steak, which is absurd."

  • "The food was excellent as usual. We tried a few appetizers wich were amazing, especially a bruschetta with toasted pine nuts, asparagus greens on what I think was a whipped ricotta. I had a 240 day aged steak, however there was a few spots of toughness/a little burning grease in the fire otherwise a very special steak (the waiter suggested a different cut, I will try his suggestion next visit). Desert was also excellent - a peanut butter tort that just went down so easy even after a huge meal it just filled in the spaces. Most of all nearly every time I go to Batali the waitstaff knows more than just the dishes, they know the ingredients and why the chef sources them - and that makes it more than just a meal - it becomes an experience."

  • "We had a group of 10 that hasn't been able to get together recently. The round table and food sharing was perfect for creating the family feeling. The staff was awesome and explained things when needed. I highly recommend Carnevino!"

  • "My wife described the restaurant as a cafeteria with better paint Accurate. The waiters were cordial, the food was mediocre, the wine list was overpriced. If you want a gear Steak with much better atmospher that is not a Vegas knockoff, spend the. $10 on a cab and go to Cspitsl Grill"

  • "SO many great restaurants to choose from in Vegas and we unfortunately chose this one. The atmosphere was nice. It was quiet and intimate which is difficult to find in most Casino restaurants. Decided to eat here because we thought Joe and Mario would only have the best restaurant and wanted a nice upscale dining experience. We enjoyed upscale atmosphere and prices but the food was mediocre at best. I will say the service was very good and the staff attentive but didn't really matter considering we spent $450 for a dinner for 4 and none of us were even able to eat our dinner because it was so bad. They did take off one of our steaks (so would have been over $450 if didn't do that) because it was cooked so badly. Very disappointed."

  • "Our waiter was very very nice, but the hostesses treated us pretty poorly, they put on some really loud rock music and forced us to leave without even having dessert. We were a group of 12 girls and we were not drinking so its not like we were making a mess of the place or anything. I was really disapointed, it was supposed to be a nice restaurant where we could talkk and have a nice time."

  • "Quite possibly my favorite place in Vegas. The food in amazing and the service in great. They have a huge wine list that is impossible to get through but the staff helped pick a perfect wine and the food is top notch."

  • "Really wanted to love this "Italian Steak house". Hubby loves steak and I love noodles. But just couldn't get there. Food quite expensive and cheapest Pinot Noir on the menu was $ 80."

  • "We had lunch here on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. We ended up going back there for lunch a 2nd day. the service is fantastic, the food spectacular, and the wine list is very comprehensive. The portions were also a perfect blend of enough food but not too much. I highly recommend this place!"

  • "Great restaurant! Wine list was enormous and the staff was amazing. If you are planning a trip to Vegas make sure you stop here. One word of caution is that it is extremely expensive."

  • "This is our second time to CarneVino, and won't be our last. The meal is always excellent, and the wait staff knowledgable. Wonderful experience. Word of caution though to anyone who may be going, the steaks are cooked less than in other restaurants, if you like medium rare (as we do) ask for it done medium (at least)."

  • "Despite the annoyance of being held at the bar, then ushered to the worst table in a half-empty dining room (we insisted on switching, with only marginal improvement), the food, table and wine service were all excellent. Prices are extreme and portions are modest -- the osso buco (pork, not veal), at $43, was a single shank of barely six bites, on a thin layer of saffron rice -- but flavors are intense and rich. The wine list has few options under $100, but they are well selected and worthwhile. A good place to indulge your inner plutocrat."

  • "The steaks are outstanding. Do NOT miss the octopus appetizer. Bring lots of money."

  • "The service was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and attentive (however, we had dinner at 6:00pm so the restaurant was not very full). We ordered the Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye. The Ribeye and the Porterhouse are intended to be split between two people (so it is not $144 for one serving, that's the price for two). They cut the meat table-side and explained each of the different cuts. We ordered it medium rare, but should have gone with medium so that the fat was a little more rendered on some of the pieces. The pieces closest to the bone (the pieces on the bottom when they stack them on your plate for you) were DELICIOUS. We just did one side (asparagus), but were stuffed. One of the best meals and dining experiences we've ever had."

  • "OK First off, when I got in they were blasting Guns & Roses.. Then it was all uphill! Great scotch selction; Sommerlier was knowledgeable and very approachable..didn't try to sell us what we didn't want. Service was great! The beef cheek ravioli-- one on the best things I have ever ate in my life! Try the reserved aged meat: nutty, buttery with rich notes of bluecheese! Crazy!"

  • "My overall review is good for the restaurant, as the food was very good, as was the service. While the steak was excellent, it did not taste like a dry-aged steak. We have eaten in many steakhouses in Philadelphia, and love dry-aged steaks. While this was good, it did not have the rich and intense flavor that we were familiar with. The sides were very good, but be warned - it is a very heavy meal. If you are looking for great service, and a nice steak dinner, I would recommend it."

  • "The food was lovely, although the steak was far too big for two greedy Brits. The service is a bit invasive. Every time I took a sip of water, literally one sip, the waiter appeared and topped it up. The restaurant has a lovely interior. I do feel that $350 for two courses and 3 glasses of wine is too much though"

  • "When we came to the restaurant, the hostess did not take us to our table so we sat in the table we thought was a correct one. No one appeared like in 30 minutes to even take our beverage order, so we asked different waiters and each one of them said they would come one in a minute. ( didnt happened) We also overheard a waiter talking to another and saying that he did not want to be our waiter because his time to go home was soon, and with us there it would take longer. With the previous experience we took off and dine in other restaurant at the wynn hotel. I talked to several people about my experience, and we agreed that the place is great and the food delicious but the problem is their staff."

  • "Was in LV for a conference. We had an 8:30 reservation but arrived at CarneVino early so had a drink at the bar. Guido and Jason, the bartenders, were great. Very knowledgeable, attentive and entertaining. We ended up cancelling our table reservation to eat at the bar. Guido recommended. We ordered and were not disappointed. The octopus starter was amazing - sweet from the lemoncello glaze, heat from the chilis. Next the Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage. Perfectly cooked. We did have an issue with our steak, but Guido and Jason were very attentive, going back in the kitchen to see what was going on. When it finally did arrive, they sent out an additional side for the wait; nice touch. Highly recommend."

  • "The food at Carne Vino was absolutely amazing. We ordered the dry-aged steaks, and they were perfect. My only "beef" with the service was the the waiter shamelessly and repeatedly tried to upsell us on everything. The waiter nearly shamed us after we repeatedly told him "no" on additional items. We ultimately ordered way too much food, but had we listened to the waiter, we would have ordered even more. It seems clear that upselling trumps overall service and ensuring the guests have a great time at the restaurant. I thought only McD's tried to supersize meals. Otherwise, I would whole-heartedly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Food was excellent. Didn't like the loud rock music being played. I love this type of music but not while I'm eating, during dinner. I do not think this music genre was appropriate for an elegant dinner and a restaurant of this caliber."

  • "Overpriced Steak. I could grill a better steak bought at the grocery store and grilled on my Weber for a fraction of the cost. I was expecting much more. Now I know why I was able to get a reservation within 30 minutes on a bustling Friday night."

  • "I will not come to Vegas again and not go to this restaurant. The food is absolutely outstanding and we didn't even have the beef! Highly recommend working through dishes in all 3 courses and don't skip dessert either. I didn't know Batali's food that well other than seeing him prepare food on TV, but after tasting it here I am a huge fan and look forward to visiting more of his restaurants."

  • "I spent a lot of time looking for a great steakhouse in Vegas and was excited about reservations at CarneVino. Unfortunately, the steak was subpar. Like other reviews, I heard them tell another table "our medium is everyone else's medium-rare." Not sure why they can't just call it medium-rare then, but there was no such warning to us. All our steaks came out under-cooked and not a ton of flavor. The brocollini was just flat-out weird and not good and the mashed potatoes were just ok. Overall, a disappointment and at $175/head an even bigger one. The search continues for a good Vegas steakhouse."

  • "We were put in a strange, dark room in between all of the wine racks. Not a very good dining location. A very impressive wine list. Out of the appetizers, the clams, octopus and prosciutto were excellent. Also had the bone-in ribeye carved tableside, the flavor was incredible. Overall an ok experience, i'd much rather go to other steakhouses in the City over this one."

  • "there wasnt a box to check for noise level "way too high" there were speakers blaring in our ears and we asked the server if we could please switch and he said it was that way all over and switching wouldn't do any good. it was "mario's" signature loud music and they were under strict instructions not to change it. ok...my ears are still ringing and i'm not a baby or a whiner. food was just ok. normal hotel fare trying to attach a celebrity to their establishment. lots of young staff all around chatting and comparing their outfits. would not go back."
