We were all completely satisfied and wowed by the food. We ate family style, 1 Ribeye and 1 Porterhouse for the table, an entree plate for each person(not meat of course) plus some sides. The mash potato comes with an egg, they way mama used to make it's Awesome. The service was impeccable. I've never been attented to by so many... I hate to use the word waiters in this case... I'll use family members. My water glass was never empty, meaning they really took care of us. The chef wrote "Happy Birthday" on my daughter's cake plate which was a beautiful. The beef is not just prime, it's 60 day or more, dry aged with the classic beefy aged flavor. It blows the doors off the three things you look for in a good steak, 1) great tenderness, 2) exceedingly wonderful flavor, and 3) so juicy I used some of it as topping for my mashed. The ribeye and porterhouse are built for two but if you're really hungry I'm sure you could eat the whole thing.
My martini was a small craft gin, St. George Terroir, with fresh, pitted olives. I have mine classic style, up dry, two olives please.The mashed potato is finished with a raw egg from a specially raised, free range chicken, that produces a brightly yellowed yolk. My girlfriend wanted to go just because of the chef (Mario Batali) either way we were both excited. The waiter and all the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable the service was great. The table side service where they cut up our 2 person 28oz bone-in-ribeye was very cool. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star was because the steak wasnt cooked the way I thought it would be. I did discuss the various cooking temps and how it would come out with the waiter and I thought Med-Rare was it but would have preferred Medium. On the walk to the table it is easy to notice that The restaurant is impeccably clean, and staff looks sharp and energetic. One can not help but notice the classic rock billowing out of the speakers, common practice at other B+B restaurants I have dined in. We were greeted by our outstanding server, Robert, who really took the experience over the top. After 3 appetizers (octopus is sheer perfection), I destroyed an 8 month dry aged ribeye. My words will do it no justice-go try it-worth every penny. The food and service were excellent. What I found a bit weird to me was how the ambiance was setup. The decor was cool, but the choice of background music was puzzling. The whole time I was there, they were playing The Who. I like The Who. The music took me back to a time in my childhood, but it was a puzzling choice for me.
