A word from Carmine's Crab Shack
Carmine has a long history of quality food in South Florida. Having started as a butcher and opening 15 successful Deli and Butcher Shops, including Carmine"s Gourmet Market, it's no surprise Carmine's Restaurants have enjoyed success from Jupiter to Miami. Over the years, Carmine has traveled extensively seeking the best products for his customers. In his travels, one of his favorite spots has always been New England and the great seafood houses and crab shacks that the area is known for. He has always wanted to bring that experience here to Florida and that has lead him to his newest restaurant……CARMINE’S CRAB SHACK!

Carmine’s Crab Shack serves a wide variety of seafood with the freshest ingredients and a great taste that will make your mouth water. From Crab Legs and Lobster to Classic Lobster Rolls and Fish & Chips, Carmine's Crab Shack has something for everyone in a fun, casual atmosphere.

My wife and I dined for dinner for the first time last week. It was very convenient to make reservations over the www. We were promptly seated at a booth. The waitress was very enthusiastic and friendly. I had the lobster fra diavolo while my wife had the stuffed shrimp. We also both had a Caesar Salad. Food was tasty. Salad was not saturated. We will be back.

Wife and I always start off thinking we each want one of their great steamed 2lb female lobsters (comes without sides), Always a great choice and crab shacked low pricing. The we dither and read the menu again and often decide to do a share dinner like this evening. a 2lb lobster and the coconut breaded shrimp (6 shrimp & 2 sides and depending on season about $5/$6 less than the lobster). So now we have greater variety and more food at a slightly lower price. Great deal and great place to eat. Staff always friendly and efficient and don't hover, let you eat and have fun with you dining partners. We live in Boynton so traveling to Carmine's takes some time and mileage but, who wouldn't travel the extra mile for an OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE. REMEMBER TO VISIT THE ORIGINAL LOCATION FOR CARMINE'S TRATORIA, SEAFOOD AND PIZZA ,RESTURANTS AND THEIR GOURMET FOOD MARKET. NOT AN AD BUT EAT THERE OFTEN.

When we went to Carmine's Crab Shack, they had half price bottles of house wine at the bar. Their Pinot Grigio was excellent, and that was just the start to an overall excellent evening. I had the 1 1/2 lbs. of snow crab legs which were fantastic. My husband had the 2 lb. lobster which he raved about. Each entree came with two side options and delicious corn bread, so there was far more food than we could eat! It was a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy, but our waiter was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Carmine's Crab Shack. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next evening for dinner, where we had excellent service and another fantastic meal!

Nice deal on house wine...$5 a glass or $15 a bottle. The fried platters are good, but the lobster roll was just adequate, mainly claw meat, tasteless presentation, and oddly served on a hamburger roll! Nice decor, friendly service, but food not living up to expectations, considering the prices. Bottom line, atmosphere, cost of food items and quality of food don't seem to be in line. This restaurant seems to be searching for an identity.

I'm from MA and grew up on Maine lobsters and fried clams WITH the bellies, so I was excited to find this restaurant. My husband had the fried clams and they were great, as were the fried onion rings and cole slaw which came with the clams. My 2 pound was tender, sweet and delicious HOWEVER, I can bet that the lobster was not 2 pounds. No, I didn't bring a scale, but being so used to eating 2 pound lobsters, I know by heart what they look like...and this did NOT look 2 pounds. Also, I felt $27 a bit steep, since it came with no sides whatsoever. Also, on the web site's front home page, it listed a 2 pound lobster at $25....but I didn't make an issue.

Everything was perfect. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and wonderful service. Not one person from our party had a single complaint. The lobster bisque and Seafood chowder were a hit. The portion size of the entrées were plentiful. The food arrived quickly and piping hot! The overall consensus is you can never go wrong with a Carmine's Restaurant. Try it... you'll be glad you did. Enjoy! We'll be back, and hope to see you there! ;)

1st two visits we got undersized lobsters, so this time I brought a fish scale. 3 lobsters meat was soft jelly like; not firm as it shud have been. My 1st 2 pound lobster weighed in at 1.4 pounds. Even after I showed the waiter my scale, he claimed twas less cuz the water evaporated during steaming. AND he was serious about that. My second lobster arrived 30 min after the others, but it was perfect in size and taste. Nevertheless after 3 times of getting undersized lobsters (the 1st two visits they refused to admit they were too small) and having to prove it with a portable fish scale, PLUS getting soft meat this past visit are enough proof that this place is not for us. Did I mention the extreme noise from everyone yelling; not talking?

Food is ok at best. Service was lacking. Asked for more napkins and waiter admonished us that there was paper towels on the table. Atmosphere blah. Lobster fair. Crab stuffing mediocre. Most people seem to go there for reasonably priced lobsters. Recommend that you spend a few extra dollars and get a great lobster at a great place.

Lobster was a good value 2 lb was $24. But all it comes with is a glass of water and a small piece of cornbread. My husband had a steak...not good. I ordered a salad which was just a bunch of lettuce. All other food comes with rice and veggie I was surprised the lobster was not served with anything. Why not serve lobster with a side, I was hungry when I got home. Noise level was a 10.

The 3-lb lobsters were sweet and succulent. My wife and I enjoyed them immensely and, considering the cost ($31.99), which we're told will prevail all summer, assured the management that we'll certainly return. We had an early dinner reservation and they were extremely accommodating as to seating arrangements for ourselves and our accompanying friends. The location of the restaurant has seen some turnover during the last few years, but we hope Carmine's Crab Shack will succeed and remain a fixture for a long time.
