Welcome to Capital's newest restaurant concept. Located in the heart of Orange County inside Irvine Spectrum. With much success in its other location in the Diamond Jamboree center, Capital decided to launch another location in the O.C. Capital is most known for its award winning dim sum and fresh seafood selections. With over 100 dim sum selections to choose from daily and great fresh seafood offerings. Dim Sum favorites such as Sui Mai, Shrimp Har Gow and Baked B.B.Q. Buns are customer favorites to name a few. Live Seafood offerings from our 300 gallon tanks consist of Alaskan King Crab, Maine Lobsters, Dungeness Crab and Catch of the Day. This new concept offers a full bar with an outdoor patio dining experience. Reservations are suggested and offsite catering and private dining are available.Continued

  • "We have had great food at the Diamond Jamboree location so we were eager to eat at the Spectrum location before going to a concert at the Verizon Amphitheatre. So glad we did. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and the wait staff was very accommodating. Next time we're going to try the Peking Duck that was quickly eaten at the next table. If we feel we need to picnic at the theatre, we'll get takeout at Capital Seafood and tote it to our seats. Definitely a keeper."

  • "4 of the 5 dishes and the Almond milk hot pot we ordered were very good except the 铁板 sea food plate was very disappointed not good and not worthy the price $18.00 for the quality! We also were very upset because we switched to 豆腐 sea food hot pot when we made the order but that waiter forgot to switch it. We accepted the mistake because we thought it may be good too. But all 5 of us were really upset because it not good at all compared with the 铁板 sea food plate we used to have in other Chinese restaurant. We think you should improve this dish and charge less for this kind of qualify. Hopefully, you will have improvement on this dish in the future then I could refer my friends to your restaurant. Ping"

  • "Made last minute reservations on Open Table and had no issues. Restaurant wasn't able to take us on time, but we didn't have to wait too long; however, it did frustrate me that we weren't able to get seated on time. We had a movie to catch and didn't want to feel rushed. It was dim sum time and we got missed a few times by the ladies but the staff was helpful in getting food items that we were interested in but hadn't been visited by a cart. We would definitely come back for the food as it was good. Pricier dim sum, but expected because of location."

  • "much of the food we were served was not hot. I guess it must have been sitting around. Not much fun eating cold dim sum that should be piping hot. We drove here from San Diego thinking this should be good, but it was not worth the drive. I'm better off eating in San Diego where the food, if not much better, was about the same."

  • "Service was good until our waiter went to lunch, he did not say anything to us nor mentioned that someone would be helping us. We did not realize that he left until the second glass of wine never came, tea got cold, vegetable dish never served, and of course the dessert was really late. We felt bad asking help from another waiter who did not inform us what happened. We thought the lobster dish had a good sauce but was overcooked, was stuck to the shell and chewy. We paid a lot for a party of 4, wish I had said something about the lobster but did not want to spoil my husband's birthday celebration. They gave us some hot tapioca dessert for free while we waited for our real dessert."

  • "This was our first visit to Capital Seafood, and we will certainly be back soon. We had reservations for 4, and although the restaurant was busy, we were seated early. We each ordered a different entree, and shared the bounty. None of us could eat everything. There was just too much to consume in one sitting. A tapioca-like dessert was include at no extra charge. Service was personal, never rushed, and definitely responsive to our wishes. The Spectrum location offered abundant parking, even on a Saturday night. Despite the name of the restaurant, many menu items exist for those who are not necessarily fond of seafood. Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality and quantify of the dinners."

  • "We've been going to the Diamond Jamboree location for a long time and we thought we try there new location here at the Spectrum, we made reservations and arrived 20 minutes early and we told we cannot be seated till then. We waited and waited and were not seated till 10 after our reservations. The host was on his personal laptop when I approach and he seemed preoccupied with it until I made a clearing throat sound for him to acknowledge me. I said we have a reservation and we are early and just simply said to us I guess you will need to wait till then since there are people ahead of you. I said I understand, in no reference did he even want to empathize nor try to accommodate."

  • "My wife suggested this place which is the first thing that comes to mind (She hates Seafood). This place serves a wide variety of Chinese food, all of which arrived, hand-carried, and in a "Fine Dining" presentation. We kept oogling meals as they landed on other tables. Okay... Here we go. Walk in to opulence where casual is an accepted norm, food is fresh and bursting with flavors and textures. Here, presentation is as much an art as the food is delicious. Prices were on par with quality, and great in terms of quantity. Even better, if you aren't necessarily a left overs fan, this is some of the best "day after" food you'll eat. I gave service a 4 only because I had to wait for a fork. Face it, nothing is perfect!"

  • "We were a party of 9 for our Daughter's Graduation Celebration. It was my first experience at Capital Seafood - Irvine Spectrum. Unlike other dim sum restaurants we've visited, Capital Seafood's staff was found to be quite warm, firendly and attentative. The food was very good, quite a few choices and we didn't have to wait very long for servers to show up with their carts of goodies. Everyone totally enjoyed the food and time spent at Capital Seafood - Irvine Spectrum."

  • "the server was very polite and helpful. although most dishes are a few $ more than you would expect, this is because the portions are also 3x bigger than you would expect. i wasn't hearing any music anything other than the clashing sounds in the kitchen. very very bright lighting in the main seating area and back/banquet room. maybe 20-30% capacity on a friday night. tried it once to see what it was about but wouldn't recommend it."

  • "Celebrated my birthday mid-week with 7 people which seemed odd… usually come for a weekend brunch. Our table was ready at the time I made the reservation for. Once we sat down the carts started rolling by! They had all my favorites: har gow, rice noodle roll with shrimp, fried taro dumplings, sticky rice, sesame balls, custard pastries, char siu bao, and more. We enjoyed a tasty, affordable lunch, and still got back to the office in time!"

  • "Had not been there in awhile and once again they did not disappoint. Once we got seated the servers were there with their dim sum carts. All the dim sum we ordered were really good, loved the BBQ pork pastry. We also ordered off the menu, BBQ pork fried was very tasty and not greasy, gourmet veggies were seasoned and cooked perfectly with a nice firmness to them. Definitely would recommend to people looking locally for authentic Chinese food."

  • "This experience was really great, had a few family members join us for my In laws B Day. The manager (Allen) gave us the seating I requested.from the start he treated us with respect & honored us as his special guests, very appreciated. My Wife & I had been there only once before & they remembered us as if we've Been going there for years. Even my Mother said; "Wow they all know you!" The Treatment was overall the greatest & everyone including my In Law enjoyed theirselves very much. Well be back thank you..."

  • "First of all, the restaurant is much too loud. You can't have a conversation with others sitting across from you or even hear yourself think. Because of the noise level and the heavy accents of the servers, you can't hear or understand what the servers are offering you. The food is not all that tasty. Most of the dumplings have odd fillings. There are not enough dim sum that just are filled with vegetables or chicken. Not everybody likes the large array of seafood. The staff is not very attentive if you need a drink or have some other request. If you just want to try a more unique experience, give it a try, but don't expect too much. It doesn't live up to your expectations."

  • "Normally I go for lunch and have the Dim Sum, it is excellent. I have now gone twice for dinner and it was a let down, the prices are too high and the flavor is not as good as Sam Woo's in Irvine. The Peking Duck did not have enough Crispy Skin and the $152 Fish was overcooked. In addition, I was told the fish would be 3 lbs. and got a 5.25 lbs. fish that was overcooked and too much food."

  • "I'm in business development, so a big part of my job involves having lunch with clients and contacts. Capital Seafood is always a great choice for lunch as there is no wait for food, the quality is excellent, the atmosphere is casual, and the dim sum experience is a nice change up from the normal sit down restaurant. And btw, the price is excellent too! The service at Capital Seafood is great! James & Allen (two of the brothers that own the chain) are excellent hosts. And if dim sum isn't what you're after at lunch, they have a terrific selection on their regular menu. The seafood chow mein is delicious and incredibly inexpensive ($11 dish can easily feed 2)!"

  • "We've dined here 3 or 4 times and the food has always been excellent. A lot of choices (beef, poultry, seafood, veggie, duck) and great for sharing so you can try a few dishes. We always end up ordering too much and taking the leftovers home for lunch the next day. Corkage fee was not too bad at $15 per bottle. Friendly staff but a bit slow so we had to nudge the waiter a bit so we could make our movie (the restaurant was busy). Our party of 6 would dine here again."
