  • "I booked well in advance and called to confirm arrangements the day before, so was dismayed to find our party of eight was to be crammed into a space for six. When we asked for reasonable room, the excuses started. "We got other parties." That is why we booked early. "You booked on the internet." Hmm. We think Open Table adds value for all. When this was FINALLY resolved, we had a wonderful dinner. Our fabulous waiter provided suggestions, was at our beck and call. orchestrated a lovely evening. He was from South America, wonderful asset. Our guests ordered the recommended dinners and we selected a special Margaux and it was all quite good! Summary: Pain followed by great dinner. Many other options in Dallas."

Moreover, our waitress was superb--attentive, understanding, accommodating. When my second cocktail did not taste as good as the first, the waitress insisted on taking it back for some tweaking, and sure enough, when she returned, the drink was much more to my liking."

  • "We had one hour for the four of us to order, eat and be out the door to make it to the Opera on time. We told the staff, but we were not rushed or directed to order something that would take less time to prepare. We had an excellent meal of Lobster/Crab Cake, filet of sole, filet mignon, and lamb chops, preceded by salad or chowder, a great bottle of wine, and a coffee after dinner, and were out the door in 59 minutes! A perfect experience."

  • "We booked our reservations right after receiving an email promotion for the Ivory Salmon. Not until we were well into our bottle if wine did we learn that the Ivory Salmon was exhausted the night before. It was the main reason we came, and had we been told in check-in that it was not being offered, we would have rebooked for another night. That said, the lobster bisque was more than fishy tasting enough to make up for the salmon. Not our best experience at a typically reliable and consistent favorite restaurant."

  • "This was our first time ant any Capital Grille and it was a great one. Menu was a little limited as with any steakhouse. Various cuts of steak, some seafood items, salads, sides. I had the Surf and Turf (Tenderloin steak and lobster tail). I expected a smallish lobster and steak however to my surprise I was served 1 great steak and an awesome lobster tail. The Steak was cooked perfectly and you almost did not need a knife. The lobster was also cooked to perfection. My wife's dinner was the same perfection. She had just a Filet which was also cooked perfectly. We had a side of the lobster Mac and Cheese. There was no skimping on the lobster as this dish was loaded with large pieces of lobster throughout. I highly recommend Capital Grille."

  • "I have had good experience at this restaurant in the past for a large group so I went back with some key customers for dinner. Service was OK but nothing extraordinary. The salad which we had as a starter was one of the specials but was not crisp and I was disappointed with it. The main which everyone in our party had was a special and was Red Snapper with a lobster tail. It was pretty good but again didn't blow me away. Overall I will still go back but had a much better experience the previous trip there."

Also, their Caprese Salad is the best in the business, and their coconut cream pie is UN-BE-LIEVABLE! The staff makes you feel like you're the only person in the restaurant. Top notch in Dallas!"

We started off with Lobster Bisque, my friend had the Filet Mignon and I had the Porterhouse, and we shared the grilled asparagus and Sam's Mashed potatoes. The food is ALWAYS incredible. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. It is always a good dining experience and I would highly recommend Capital Grille for any dining occasion."

  • "My husband and I had the chopped salad, crab cakes, the tuna and the filet. The chopped salad was flavorless. The dressing was boring. The crab cakes were ok, but a little bland. We did like our entrees. My filet had good flavor. My husbands tuna was also good. The overall experience though, both food and ambience, felt very 1990's. With all of the competition in this town, I expected better."

  • "To start off, this evening could not have been any better. From the delicious cocktails and wine to the perfectly cooked filets and lobster mac n cheese, I was in heaven. The food was perfect and it would be hard to say anything was better than the food itself but our waiter, Felipe really made the evening for us. Giving us recommendations on wines to go with our meal and to just the overall friendliness and care and concern he had for us really made the evening special. He never rushed us and he let us enjoy our evening with one another. Then to top it off, he brought us a FREE desert and it was definitely the best cheesecake I have ever had. Amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back. Felipe will be the one taking care of us!"

  • "We decided to celebrate V'Tines day a day early to avoid the crowds. Great experience. My partner and I shared an enormous Caprese salad with vintage balsamic - delicious. We also shared a 22 oz bone-in Ribeye with porcini rub and balsamic/EVOO sauce as well as truffled fries with garlic and parmesean. Steak was cooked perfectly and the seasoning and sauce were VERY good. The truffled fries were also stellar. The portions were plenty to share and we even left with enough leftovers for another full meal. The steaks are pricey but the quality of the beef was outstanding. We like to go to a good steakhouse at least once every 6 mos and we will definately return to CG."
