We at CANDICCI’S are proud to serve you fine Italian cuisine - pasta, veal, seafood, chicken and beef dishes - made from only the freshest ingredients.

When I first opened CANDICCI’S in 1980, I took as my model the wonderful neighborhood ristorantes that populate New York’s famous “Little Italy” section. I wanted to recreate that special intimate ambience - a blend of attentive, friendly service, casual atmosphere and classic Italian cooking.

  • "My wife and I made Valentine's reservations at 7:30PM. We arrived promptly at 7:30 to find a line at the front desk.By 8:00 PM we were still 13th on the list. We decided that we would risk getting in somewhere else and notified the front desk. Reaction? "Sorry" form the young lady at the desk and not a word from what I would guess was the manager if he was not the owner (a big, big Italian looking man). No effort at all to recover form spoiling a Valentines dinner. This place is so poorly managed I cannot imagine ever trying to dine there, and certainly will go out of my way to discourage others. There are plenty of well managed excellent Italian restaurants in the area."

  • "We thought we had a reservation on Valentines day for 7:45 pm, at least that is what was confirmed. When we arrived at the restaurant at 7:30, there were at least 20 people ahead of us in line, that had reservations too, and another 30-40 people just waiting around that had reservations too. It makes no sense to give someone a reservation and you can't keep it. By the time we got to the front of the line to speak with the hostess, it was 7:55 and we had at least 60 people in front of us. That's just ridiculous. It's ok to say you don't take reservations and it's first come first served, but to have people think that they will be seated in a reasonable time is unacceptable. Lesson learned.I will never set foot in that restaurant again."

  • "We made a reservation and when we go there, they over booked and even with the reservation, we had an hour wait. As Jerry Seinfeld would say " They know how to take the reservation but have a problem keeping the reservation". Very disappointed!"

  • "Despite a 45 minute wait beyond our reservation time and sub-par service, my husband and I were pleased with our evening at Candicci's. Our waiter did not seem up to par with the rest of the restaurant experience -- he rushed us, brought the wrong dish to my husband so I was nearly finished by the time he got his food (and later admitted he didn't even know the special menu), made it seem like the dessert tray being put away was our fault for eating so late, did not check with us before substituting a dessert we ordered that was no longer available. We really liked the restaurant's ambience and were ready for an enjoyable evening -- which we had. Just wish the service had been a bit better. I'd still return, just hope for a better waiter!"
