We went for Easter lunch and had a simply marvellous time. Our server, Carlos, could not have been more accommodating - and checked with us several times during the meal to see how things were or if we needed anything. Our requests were met immediately with total grace and the food was FABULOUS!! I could not recommend the salmon tartare more and my husband loved his croque monsieur. We "lounged" over 2 hrs and never felt pressured. Other groups ranging from 3-7, including kids, came and everyone seemed to have a grand time.

I love the ambience in Belden, however, the food this time around at Cafe Bastille was just so-so. We had the grilled vegie sandwich and the smoked salmon appetizer. The salmon did not seem particularly fresh and the capuccinos were bitter. I wouldn't discourage people from dining here, but I can't strongly recommend it either.

I went for a birthday party and the staff had set up a large table ahead of time. The server was excellent and attentive, the salade nicoise and pain bagnant were superb and the croque monsieur was a hit.

Great brunch with wonderful and attentive service. We asked for an item that was not on the regular menu, and the kitchen was able to meet our request without hesitation. And, we are glad that we saved room for dessert, especially the chocolate pear tart.

This was my second visit in a month. I had such a wonderful experience the first time that I had too come back to try some other dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly. I started with a mesclun salad which had just the right amount of dressing. My entree was a potato gnocchi. It had a cream sauce perfectly flavored with mushrooms and truffles. My partner had a stewed chicken dish which he said was just okay. His complaint was that it was messy to eat. I had a bite and thought it was tasty. We finished our meal with a raspberry mousse which was light and tart. I will definately come back again.
