Diner Reviews
  • "Very friendly and attentive wait staff. You can tell they are professionals. Loved the grilled oysters and sea bass with bok choy and sticky rice! Only downside is it gets too noisy. Eat outside if the weather is nice."

  • "Ricky our server was very personable; very obliging to two girlfriends who were out for lunch to celebrate a birthday - didn't rush us and gave us chat time. Food was delicious."

  • "While the three of us were a little disappointed in the food (the quality of the fish was excellent but the sides & sauces with the fish seemed too salty and excessive), the ambience was great. And the service was just excellent. It's a fun place to dine especially if you can get a booth."

  • "I've eaten at this place a few times for both lunch and dinner. The food is very good. Fairly basic seafood presentations, but that's a good thing. Usually service is attentive without being intrusive. However on this occasion, the waitstaff seemed off their game and took the non-intrusive to a all new level. When you are paying $50-$60 a person for a meal, you really should not have to flag down the waiter. And frankly the place was not all that busy. Every place and every waiter has an off night...so we'll give em one."

  • "The food was great. We had the Shrimp Meneire and the Soft Shell Crab special. Both were delicious. The atmosphere and the service were both great as well."

  • "We actually captured a great evening to eat outside and took it! Fish selections are always great! The food was good as usual but I think being the only ones outside we were delayed in constant service as they had to remember that we were out there! Wouldn't have change that though as we really enjoyed the different opportunity of the outdoors."

  • "The oysters were great, but service was horrible and the tuna tartar was terrible. The brown sauce that came with it destroyed the dish. Overall a bad experience and would rather get seafood in town."

  • "I have been to this restaurant several times and Have always had a good experience. Not this time. The food portions were really small and the quality not up to par. My glass of wine was probably a few sips. Not enjoyable this time. Too Bad."

  • "Grilled oysters were fabulous. Lobster and crab cocktail divine. Truffle chips are purely sinful. There is no better server anywhere than Virginia. Arnold does a superb job with the front of the house."

  • "This restaurant is a gem and we are happy it is close to home. The food is excellent as is the service. We have been here three times and will return again."

  • "The place was packed when we arrived--thankfully we had reservations. Virginia, our server, did her best to keep up with us, but she literally was running between tables. Consequently it was about a 2 1/2 hour dinner, but we didn't mind. The calamari was the best we've had in ATL and our entrees were perfect--broiled salmon and grilled scallops. Loved the food! Normally I don't like sitting close to the kitchen, but the speed, coordination and skill of the chefs was actually amazing to watch. Definitely not a quiet romantic restaurant where you can whisper to your dining companions, this place is loud. Lots of energy, motion and if you're fortunate to have Virginia, a great experience. We'll definitely be back."

  • "Great seafood options, well prepared with professional service."

  • "Great food from the oysters to the sea bass and everything in between....as usual. Our waiter did a good job steering us to another good wine."

  • "Pluses: All of the food was excellent, fresh and well prepared. The seafood platter appetizer was great. The shrimp are huge! The tuna entree was some of the best tuna I have had in a long time. Minuses: We waited 30 minutes for our table even with a reservation. It was 8:30 on a Saturday - maybe that's expected? It was also loud due to high ceilings, narrow room and an open kitchen. It took forever to get our drinks. I had to flag the waiter down and remind him that we ordered them. His excuse was that he was used to having someone bus drinks for him. We also waited a long time for refills on drinks, boxes for leftovers and the dessert menu. Overall: I would recommend it because of the food. Maybe the service was an exception."

  • "You would never expect this restaurant in a shopping center to be that good but when you walk inside it's like you are in a New York restaurant. The fish is very fresh and all we'll prepared. We are just sorry we have not been here before now."

  • "Had a great time at C&S. Our waiter, Jimmy was phenomal and treated us like royalty. We were celebrating a birthday and he did his best to make sure we were attended to, and made great suggestions. we will be going back. Thanks a bunch!"

  • "Always great! Great food & great service. Best claim chowder (New England style) in the southeast and maybe the country. Have never had a bad meal here."

  • "I asked for a quiet table in the back, as this was an informal business lunch, and the staff set us up perfectly (as always). C&S is the "go to" place for lunch, where you can have a great light meal, inexpensive, but still enjoy the wonderful staff taking care of you. And then bring the wife back for dinner. My favorite restaurant in Atlanta!"

  • "Our first visit to C&S on the recommendation of friends. Just my wife and I for a fun night out. Surprisingly nice wine selections from a short but capable list, excellent service, tremendous advice from our server Dee on entrees and oysters. The Captain, Arnold, personally checked on us during the evening! Professional! We thoroughly enjoyed the seared salmon spinach salad, and the crab encrusted flounder (to die for). We will definitely be back!"

  • "We've been here with kids and they were extremely accommodating - crayons, bringing food out quickly & special ordering requests. Also been with just adios and it was excellent. Food is awesome!"

  • "We treated our neighbors to a date night at C&S while we watched their four month old. C&S delivers as usual. Bud had the parmesan encrusted flounder and Tassie had the ahi tuna. Both were perfect as was the chopped salad. Virginia was their personal server and is THE BEST."

  • "Food was very good but restaurant was way too noisy, having a combo in bar area did not help. Did not have a good waiter was not very attentive"

  • "Amazing in every way. Well worth it, if you are a foodie."

  • "The service was terrific. The room is loud and you practically sat at the table next to you! The oysters were wonderful and the meal was above average. They were crowded and seemed to rush us."

  • "My wife and I saw many old friends this past Saturday night! C&S is the place to be...always great food, great service, and Arnold makes it the best place in Atl!"

  • "Food was excellent. Service just o.k. Was not informed of off menu specials. Very noisy, hard to have conversation."

  • "My friend and I dined here for the first time. I had heard good things about C&S Seafood, so I was excited to check it out. We had reservations at 6pm on a Sat. night. The atmosphere was very inviting when we walked in and we were anticipating an enjoyable dining experience. Unfortunately, our waiter was very inattentive and unfriendly. He left us sitting at our table for long periods of time without checking on us and we didn't see him anywhere to waive to him. We wanted to order dessert, but were left for 10-15 minutes after he brought the dessert menu. We noticed him attending to other guests more promptly. The food was satisfactory, but nothing spectacular. We both had the special that night. We definitely expected more."

  • "...I love the food here, but tonight was a miss. I had the pistachio crusted flounder. It was dry and flavorless. The flounder itself was still good but I had to scrape the coating off. The oysters were their usual delicious, and service, as always, was amazing. I'll be back for sure, but I'm skipping the crust!"

  • "Our favorite "special occasion" place. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. The place is small and usually packed with diners, so the ambience suffers a bit."

  • "Great food, fantastic grilled Oysters, good music. Virginia is the consummate professional server."

  • "I've been to C&S a few times for dinner. It's expensive but often worth it. This time was no exception. The calamari is always a must try. On this occasion we also had the salmon belly. It was not spectacular either in flavor or texture but it was fresh and well portioned for two people. As a main course I had a grilled salmon with the garlic chili sauce. The sauce was very mildly spicy with a slight garlic flavor that went well with the moist and flaky fish. My personal preference would have been a bit stronger sauce in both chili and garlic. Another person had the sea bass and it was melt in your mouth buttery goodness with a wonderful accompanying broth and cooked bok choy. Service, as always, was attentive, friendly, and never rushed."
