My criticism is that my tablecloth was not properly cleared from the previous guest. The blackened pea or whatever it was was, was not cleared before we arrived even though the waiter should have noticed it. The waiter was very friendly and did an excellent job of explaining the menu, specials, etc. He was very good. I'm still not sure about children's place in a formal dinner setting.. Buckheads impressed them greatly with the outstanding wine selection, excellent food, and perfect ambience. The most difficult aspect of the evening was selecting from the large wine list. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and all portions were ample. And price was reasonable for the quality. My guests were still raving about the overall experience days later. Salmon good and nicely displayed by itself on a large plate. Small side plate hardly held the generous potato and the green beans literally wedged on beside and under the potato. Why serve this way?
Meat, served medium rare, was slightly over cooked.
Portabella appetizer was awesome as was the cheesecake and key lime pie.

I started with the Lobster bisque that was as good as I have had anywhere. That was followed by a very good caesar salad. Then came the beef. I had a strip steak that was perfectly prepared along with steak fries that were crispy and flavorful along with green beans and carrots that were excellent. My wife had a fresh salad, followed by her main dish, the crab imperial. Buckheads may be known for amazing steaks, but this seafood dish was fabulous. All too often, something disappoints us along the way, but in this case, every single item was great. The service was timely and relaxed and our waiter was entertaining and informative. It is an attractive, classy place with background music that sets the scene but does not keep you from having conversation at your table. The food was excellent, steaks perfectly cooked as ordered. They knew we were going to the symphony and accommodated our schedule without making us feel rushed. We recommend Buckhead's without hesitation and we will be back.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
