  • "I was demoralized that I chose to go to the delightful Broadway Cellars on half price bottle wine night and couldn't drink! But the sublimely delicious salmon entree made up for it. And just because I asked, they gave me sweet potato fries to boot! The only thing on the plate that made me sad were the plethora of red pepper strips with the julienned veggies. The others were tasty, but I've noticed the inundation of red peppers is a trend in most restaurants I've visited this year, from LA to Chicago. Truly. Bleh.....gives me agida. But aside from those, the salmon was perfectly cooked and well seasoned and my dining companion said he would return simply for the Caesar salad. Our server was really great and the rest of the staff was on it!"

  • "Went to Sunday Brunch at Broadway Cellars. The food was very good, not outstanding. I had the ham and brie sandwich; terrific fries. (took half home) My companion had salmon Benedict, which looked yummy. Service was excellent. I really like this place, always have a great time."

  • "A little salty. Prices and portions are decent. Front of house (owner) made a big point of saying thank you and good night, something I always appreciate and is sometimes lacking."

  • "My wife and I were going to a play nearby and decided to give Broadway Cellars a try. Both the food and the service were great. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about both the food and the wine. When we mentioned we were on a schedule, it was no problem for them. We will be back."

  • "We came for a special occasion. We wanted to do some special table decorations and everyone accommodated us. Letting us sit in comfy seats out of the way so we could surprise out guests, alerting us when the table was ready...it was above the normal standard. Our server, her name started with an A, I think (African American, curly hairdo), she was great. Very attentive, making our occasion feel special, constantly refilling the mimosas, putting a candle in my friend's desert and helping me handle the bill discreetly. She is so nice and great!"

  • "They have great food, my favorite is the Easy Being Green Benedict and the French toast!! So delicious. And you can never go wrong with $10 bottomless mimosas!"

  • "My first visit to BC was for brunch and fortunately I made a reservation because walk-ups were taking an hour to be seated. Knowing how good the brunch was, I would have waited without a reservation. The brunch menu is full of interesting egg dishes plus all the standards such as pancakes (evidently well-known specialty) or lox & bagel. Service was good and as attentive as expected with a very full house. Looking forward to many more return visits."

  • "Great food and service! It was my first time there and I went with a friend for brunch. I had made a reservation, but my friend was running about 20 minutes late. Even though the place was busy, they sat us as soon as my friend arrived. The mimosas were a little heavy on the OJ but tasted good. The food was fantastic!!"

  • "I went to Broadway Cellars with three of my friends for brunch and we were so pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and affordable, the service was great, and the bottomless mimosas were awesome. Our waitress was incredibly accommodating and knew a lot about the menu. She gave us great recommendations and took good care of us the whole time."

  • "Yummy food, lovely service and not too far from home. What's not to love. I look forward to coming back here many times."

  • "Broadway Cellars is the kind of restaurant that best represents Chicago neighborhood dining; big enough so you're not wondering where everyone else is eating and small enough so you don't feel part of a herd. The food is 'neighborhood' outstanding; always tasty and fresh and the service is quite good. Plus, an inventive and reasonably priced wine and beer selection doesn't hurt at all. BC has specials every night so there is enough variety to satisfy pretty much everyone. It''s the kind of place you would not hesitate to take your out of town friends to."

  • "I had a reservation for Sunday brunch, but the L had other ideas. Despite being 30 minutes late for our reservation we were able to sit right away in the bar area. We were told it might take a while to get out food but it couldn't have even taken 20 minutes for it to arrive. The wait staff gave us wonderful recommendations and rarely let our bottomless mimosas empty. This was a wonderful experience and I would return often if I lived in the state!"

  • "The atmosphere and the service were very good. The food was just ok. I had the the pecan crusted walleye, which was paired with oven roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus. The walleye was bland and the side dishes were ok, it just didn't seem a terribly inspired plate. My partner had the pork belly, which was good, but the mashed sweet potato side had way too much ginger. We appreciated the Friday night $5 martini special. The food was just uninspired. I think with a little extra training or sophistication in the kitchen, Broadway Cellars could be quite good, but it's not there yet. For now, we'll stick to their Monday night burger special."

  • "I've been going to Broadway Wine Cellars for several years now and always loved their food and service. Unfortunately, this time they missed the mark in undercooking my brunch dish. Probably because they were so busy but still no excuse. Would I eat here again? Absolutely, I love this place."

  • "I had dined here two or three times in the past, wanting to support a neighborhood restaurant, but my guests and I always left relatively unimpressed. Another friend and I decided to give them another try. Friendly staff and server, quick service, nice music, and a great 1/2 off wine bottle deal. My friend had the veggie burger and fries; she generally enjoyed it, but I found the fries a bit flavorless and soft. I had the grilled tuna with pasta puttanesca special; as far as I can tell, the tuna was not seasoned, and for whatever reason, the pasta underneath just didn't have much flavor, even though the capers and olives were abundant. The food was just kind of disappointing."

  • "Went for brunch. Unique comfort food, bottomless mimosa and friendly prompt service. What else could you ask for? Our son just moved into the neighborhood. We took him out for brunch on his birthday. Made some friends. Will definitely be back. They made us feel right at home."

  • "Both of us raved about the food and the service was prompt, caring, and fun. The prices were very, very reasonable especially considering the qualify of the food. This was a great place and we will definitely be back."

  • "We live just a mile down the road, my mother was visiting from Michigan and this place was recommended by a friend. We had never been but had seen great things via OT! Booked our reservation, got a great table, our server was prompt and friendly (and kept the Mimosas & Bloody Mary's coming!!!) Our food was delicious and the entire staff was friendly! I can't believe we had never been here, this is our new permanent Brunch spot for SURE!"

  • "And we had privacy to talk, enjoy the evening. The tables are huge along the walls, so conversation seemed a little far away. They did everything to accommodate dietary restrictions. The service was outstanding. Food was very good."

  • "i love to take friends there for the brunch, which features bottomless mimosas for $10. the brunch is great. delicious crabcake benedicts. the bottomless mimosas are great and a wonderful deal. however, it would be nice if the waitress could have been more attentive to refilling them. bragging about bottomless mimosas that then remain unfilled is embarrassing as the groups' host, but also makes us think about other places we can go where they will serve what they promise to serve. during the meal, our waitress with our refills was mostly absent and we had to request refills multiple times. it wasn't until we were paying the check that they were offered to us. almost as if there was now awareness that it is tipping time."

  • "I came here for Brunch on my birthday, and it was amazing. First of all, I had at least 6 people, and it can be hard finding a great Brunch spot that can accommodate a larger group. I was able to reserve a table and not have to wait, which was another giant plus! The best part was the food, and endless mimosas and Bloody Mary. You get so much food for your money, and it is legitimately amazing and unique."

  • "You just can't beat $5 burger night on Mondays at Broadway Cellars. It's a great cheeseburger with fries for $5. And for those non-carnivores among you, for the same $5 Broadway Cellars provides a veggie burger they make themselves that day. I'm not a vegetarian by trade but I've tried this and would recommend it. For a small extra charge (like really small) BC will equip your plate with most excellent sweet potato fries. Service is great even on Monday night when tables are filled. We've met there as a group several times and never felt rushed."

  • "The snow was melting, and it was a cozy evening at Broadway Cellars. The food was excellent and the Martini and Wine list exceptional. Although not packed, it was a nice crowd for such terrible weather conditions outside. We were greeted at the door and immediately felt at ease. Not rushed and a very enjoyable evening. Service was excellent. I would recommend."

  • "We dined at Broadway Cellars one of those miserable nights last week after a rough commute back to the neighborhood. Cured all the blues! The food is consistently well prepared and the team provided outstanding service. My hubbie went back to his old favorite, their blue-cheese meatloaf and I had a great bolognese pasta. With their nightly specials there is always something to entice you in. As much as I love their outside patio, it really is a warm and inviting winter dining spot."

  • "We were in town celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday and she wanted bottomless mimosas. I found this on Urbanspoon and it was quite close to her residence, so we went for it. We had a great experience. My daughter started with the bottomless mimosa and the rest of us had bottomless bloody marys. I love bloody marys and these were the real deal. Clearly made from scratch and they will spice them up to your personal liking. The food was very good. we had a couple of dietary restrictions and the restaurant had no problem satisfying them and everyone loved their brunch meal. A creative menu and they delivered on all of our dishes. The service was good. We were quite happy and would definitely go back."

  • "my daughter requested the brunch to celebrate her 37th birthday. She wanted to go to Broadway Cellars which is close to her apartment. I had a party of five. It was delightful and the wait staff were attentive and the food was very good, as usual. Even though the restaurant was packed, we never had to wait for anything. The Apple Carmel bread pudding was a fine way to end our celebration!"
