  • "A friend if mine and I had dined at Broadway a year ago, we enjoyed the vibe and our server was very knowledgeable about wine and poured us a few tastes of some wonderful wines. We enjoyed the food and overall had a good experience. This visit it was more difficult to find something on the menu that sounded appealing and I'm sure that all ingredients are top quality. We almost left the restaurant. Needless to say, we would be hard pressed to return to Broadway, especially with all the other choices available in Laguna."

  • "The restaurant was excellent as usual. The service was prompt, friendly & professional. As always the food is the reason to dine at this restaurant. Every dish by Amar Santana is creative, brilliantly executed & well presented. The noise level can get a little high but it's fun to see people really enjoying themselves & experiencing great food. They also accommodate the customer - for example allowing diners to 'mix & match' their food choices; or allow diners to choose elements of a Prix Fixe menu to be selected á la carte should a diner so choose. This is a restaurant that is an excellent addition to the local dining scene. Our Houseguests from Pacific Palisades raved about the food. We will be back."

  • "I would suggest sitting at the counter where you can observe all the action and the hustle and bustle of the cooking staff as they create each savory dish from start to finish. It is like being on the set of Hell's Kitchen but Amar Santana style. The serving staff are very attentive and courteous. Even the restrooms are designed to satisfy the very meticulously-detailed individuals."

  • "The MARINATED BEET SALAD was amazing! The BUTTER POACHED PRAWNS and HERB ROASTED MEDITERRANEAN BRANZINO were delicious and plentiful!!! And the CRISP BRUSSELS SPROUTS were a perfect compliment to our wonderful meal! Each item was so memorable and delicious! We topped off our beautiful meal with the LEMON RICOTTA FRITTERS which was the perfect suggestion by our waiter! The service is perfect, professional, and helpful when asked! The Broadway offers Far Niente Chardonnay by the glass! What a special evening! Thank you, Amar Santana!"

  • "Prior to attending the Pageant of the Masters my wife and I had dinner at Broadway. Heirloom Tomato Salad and Beet Salad were great starters. The menu at this restaurant is primarily based on seafood and I was at fault for choosing this location as my wife is not a big fan of fish of any kind. The descriptions of the seafood items were not tempting so I ordered the Delmonico Pork which was good and my wife had side dishes as her dinner. For all the buzz about this restaurant, we were disappointed and will not return again."

  • "Absolutely fantastic experience. My delicious specialty cocktai with tequila, avocado cream and...? started things off. We did the tasting menu while sitting at the chef's table where we could watch them prepare food. We always like to see what the chef have in store on a tasting menu and we were not disappointed. From the parsnip soup with crispy lardons to the fried donuts with lemon cream and rosemary honey our dinner was just one delight after another. Can't wait to go back."

  • "I like this restaurant, but it's missing something to make it terrific. I'm primarily a fish eater and fish is not their forte. Every time we've ordered fish, we've thought that it wasn't prepared as well as at our favorite restaurants. Last time we went, we had the duck and it was very good and the sides were well thought out. Our appetizer of heirloom tomatoes was fabulous and the deserts and wine were very good as well. The service is very good and although we were seated just past the bar, we were able to speak without shouting. I will definitely be back; I just wish that they would improve the fish selections and not overcook them."

  • "We've been in the restaurant 6 times already and every time it's a great experience: - Amazing food with a menu that changes some of its courses pretty often (In each of the 6 times I was there I tried different combinations of 1st and main course) - Great Service - HIGHLY recommended for a party of 2-4 - Seat on the bar facing the kitchen- It is amazing to see 3 talented chefs produce this high quality food for so many guests - the atmosphere is great - Like a NY restaurant. And you can see all employees love their work. One thing that I loved the most is that at the end of the shift the chefs fix a late dinner to all employees (Looks good - Once they gave us a taste as well :))."

  • "While a bit more pricey than expected but would definitely come back. 1 person in our party of 4 was a bit difficult to please, but the server handled it extremely well. Food was very good, portions were definitely not skimpy. 1 of the desserts, the cheesecake, had an "off" flavor. Called our server over, told her that all 4 of us thought something was off, she suggested another dessert and had it on our table in less than 90 seconds. She was excellent during our entire meal. Only suggestion we all would make is about the wines. 2 of the people asked for recommendations. The wine captain brought over a wine for each & just poured them. 1 wasn't all that great. Would have been better to offer them a taste first."

  • "This is our first time being disappointed in our experience at Broadway. We asked prior to our arrival to be seated at the back of the restaurant away from the bar and the hostess was not receptive to the request and ultimately when we arrived she seated us at the worst table that was closest to the bar area. It was so loud we could not hear each other even though we were sitting at a small table. It also took over 15 minutes for us to get the drinks we ordered immediately after being seated. While several of the dishes were as good as we recall from prior visits, some were not up to our expectations. Maybe it was an off night, but we will not be in a hurry to return. This used to be our favorite restaurant in Laguna."

  • "We arrived at 6 p.m. per our reservation and we were promptly seated at the counter across the kitchen. It was delightful to be able to converse with the chefs about the menu and watch them prepare the great variety of dishes. Our son had been there before and recommended the bone marrow appetizer. Although unsure we tried it and loved lit. I had the skirt steak which was very flavorful and cooked exactly as I requested. My wife had the Scottish salmon and a special beet salad which she loved. Throughout the entire 2 hour + experience the servers and chefs interacted with us and answered questions about the various dishes being prepared."

  • "After dining here for 4-5 times I can honestly say everything on the menu is outstanding in quality, appeal and flavor. The wine list is well chosen with available half bottles and a strong California showing at reasonable prices. The bar is a great place to have a pre dinner cocktail, bartenders are the real deal with great suggestions and craft beers on tap. Don't miss this one its excellent."

We tried his tasting menu and found each bite to be perfect-from start to finish. Nice wine pairings too. That's difficult for any restaurant to do and we have tried the best! Thanks for a wonderful meal, suburb service and a counter experience not to be missed. Loved it. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Made reservations at this place weeks prior to my arrival...heard good things about it. They tried to sit my friend and I at the counter instead of a table. We protested and got a table five minutes later. Our drinks took so long to arrive we though they were growing the grain to distill it. Service and food were OK overall. I got the beet salad to start and it had waaaay too much cheese...have had better."

  • "We eat at Broadway every few months, the food is amazing, and it's a great location too! I've loved every app & entrée I've tried, not to mention great signature cocktails. We had dinner at Broadway last weekend with close friend who live in NY, so it was a special night out. Food was excellent as always, but the service was lacking this time. It was disappointing to feel rushed to eat, when our entrees were being dropped at the table while our friend was literally still eating his appetizer. With food cooked to perfection, you can let it just sit there, so without having even 1 minute between apps & entrees, we had to quickly start eating. Why the rush? Not sure who's expediting the pass, but he needs help with his timing. "

  • "Our table was "smushed" between two other tables... the odor of perfume from the right, and the odor of broccoli from the left was nauseating. I could hear the conversations from both tables as well. Not my idea of relaxing or pleasant. I asked if I could have the kale caeser salad with a different lettuce, not kale... the restaurant could not even do that simple of a substitution. I ordered eggplant - and got edamame instead... at least the fries were great. the salmon was cooked to perfection and so was the skirt steak. I'd never go back."

  • "The pork belly app was amazing with scallion oil and a mushroom reduction on the plate. The server was not present and hard to find but managed to upsell us a side of edamame, which did not arrive until after the entrees and was charred and dried out. Apparently they were supposed to be charred? It was inedible. That and an extremely overpriced glass of Chardonnay at $26 were disappointing. My date's entree had a smear of baby food looking paste on the plate, which was sweet and orange but looked questionable, but his steak was rare and he ordered it medium. I highly reccomend the sweetbreads, and look forward to tryingore dishes as delicious as that one and pork belly! "

  • "Great service as always. Must start with the Moscow Mule and finish with the Panna Cotta. Everything in between is probably a safe bet to be a nice variation on the "usual fare". The Cape Cod oysters were yummy but gone too quickly."

  • "Except for the noise, we were very impressed with the food. On the advice of the couple sitting next to us, we tried the brussel sprouts side dish. I never have liked brussel sprouts, but this was the most tasty dish I've had in years. I'd order it for the main course. The cocktails were creative. The main downside was the noise level --- way too loud. They should try to do something with the acoustics in the place. PS: We went for our wedding anniversary. I had included a note in my OpenTable reservation, and the restaurant actually paid attention and gave my beautiful wife a nice little dessert and candle for the occasion."
