  • "My grandma always warned us that too much of a good thing was bad for you! Well grandma never went to Broadway! One dish after another and you cannot say stop! Just one more dish is all you crave--then another! My wife and I have a share strategy. We order dishes and then split them. That way we can enjoy more of the great tastes coming out of the kitchen. Still you reach a point where you do say enough or the servers would have to carry you to the car--which I am sure they would do. The only thing you can do is remember the meal and plan for the next one. That way you only have to say little enoughs."

  • "I went with my girlfriend on 2/13 for an early Valentines dinner and we fell in love with this place. The service was great and the food was even better. Its a smaller venue and you sit pretty close to your neighbors but this in my opinion does not distract from the food and experience. Amar came out to a couple of tables to deliver a special dish and check on a couple of guests experience while we were there in the resaurant. There was also a large group of girls in the front so it can accommodate at least one group. I believe reservations are a good idea because the place was packed. But its very much worth the rez and $$. Excellent food that does stretch the imagination. You wont be sorry you tried this place."

  • "this restaurant met and exceeded all of our expectations. We both tried the early season Halibut special with the emphasis on special. It was cooked to perfection, had a nice crispy skin crust, and was plated with a collection of local artisan spring vegetables. The kale Caesar salad and Ahi appetizers were very tasty. We cannot wait to go back the next time we are in Laguna Beach."

  • "Been here a few times now. The food is consistently good as is the service. The cocktail menu also has some very interesting and inventive drinks. One really big positive is that they have a small parking lot for restaurant patrons which is a huge plus in Laguna Beach where weekend parking can be extremely difficult to find."

  • "The Broadway's staff is great. The menu offers a nice variety of sizes and items. The kale Caesar salad is incredible. The salmon and branzino are both excellent offerings and perfectly prepared. I like that dining is offered at the bar, where I chose to sit during both of my visits. The bar's mixologist, Anna Leigh (sp?), is seriously good."

  • "We love the food at Broadway. If you are not in the mood for tight seating quarters, and loud conversation- you may not like the atmosphere. This is a small hot spot. So- you are sitting very close to other guests and it is loud. The service is always awesome. You MUST have the brussel sprouts and cheese platter. Some dishes are better than other but I suggest ordering a bunch of firsts and trying stuff out. Enjoy!"

  • "This place gets a lot of buzz, but the buzz in my opinion is all noise. The tables are jammed together and all I could hear was the loud woman next to me who was talking constantly through the entire meal! The menu has changed and is kind of odd. While most of the dishes were tasty, they were very small portions with high prices. Our main course came out very late, long after the starters, to the point the waitress comped the item because it took so long - which was decent of them. I couldn't wait to end this experience, it gave me a headache, and was I regretting booking this diner. Would never go back."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner before the theatre. They honored our request for a quiet table in the back so that we could chat with our friends. And as we were celebrating my husband's birthday, they sent a lovely complimentary dessert that he enjoyed and that we could share, as well. The brussel sprouts were a huge hit and the eggplant was surprisingly tasty! Several of the ladies had starters as their main course and were pleased with their choice. Not inexpensive but worth the price."

  • "Made an OT reservation for a Saturday night with a request to sit at the chef bar. After arriving on time, I was told that the bar was booked, but if we want to wait in the regular bar area, they would comp a cocktail. Very nice gesture indeed. It was no more than 10 minutes and we were seated. The manager/owner was very gracious and attentive. Great evening and will definitely return! Little things like the comp'd drinks go a long way to let the customer know they care."

  • "First course was exceptional. We had the octopus and the pork belly. Second course would've been better if my branzino was not over cooked...the Kurobuta pork which my dinner date had the pork was quite delicious and cooked perfectly. We ate on the early side and the noise level was not an issue. I would definitely go back!"

  • "We went on a Saturday night and it was packed and noisy so be sure to make a reservation. The food was amazing. We ordered a variety of things to try and it was all tasty, especially the brussel sprouts. Even if you normally don't like them you have to try these. We also appreciated that the waiters were attentive to all tables not just theirs, and our waiter even topped off our glass of wine. A nice touch. We'll be back soon. I'm still dreaming about those brussel sprouts:-)"

  • "When you combine great food and cocktails, attentive and friendly service, and a romantic and fun atmosphere, then you've got a great restaurant. My boyfriend and I dined here for the first time on Sunday evening 2/16/14, and we really enjoyed ourselves. If you're looking for a place to have dinner in Laguna Beach or somewhere in the OC, I highly recommend this spot. Loved it!"

  • "Make sure to sit at the food bar where they prepare the food. It was amazing to see the three chefs in action. They were so nice and answered questions and even let us sample the fries they were making. It is a first class operation. Try the Cosmopolitan Martini the BEST ever! It is my favorite restaurant and the tastes are out of this world. We found this restarant just walking around Laguna a few weeks back while family was in town and can tell you that Broadway's food is 100 times better than Mastros. If you have a special occassion, make sure to make a reservation at Broadways or go in for a drink to feel the ambiance, it's so inviting and classy. Thank you Broadway for making our Valentine's Day so special!!!"

  • "After we had ordered our entrees, the server suggested getting Brussel Sprouts. Good thing we agreed. They were delicious!!!! The Skirt Steak I had was also good but the Brussel Sprouts really finished it off. I forgot what my wife ordered but it was one of the ones the server recommended and she loved it too. It was pork with caramelized apple, I think."

The selections range from fish to fowl so something for every gourmet on this menu. I highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts and the Kale salad! Vegetarians can eat until their hearts content on this menu. Watch for the parking situation on busy weekend or summer nights, you may miss your reservation if you expect to find a parking spot easily in this corner of the Village of LB. Consider parking further out and strolling to and from Broadway to enjoy the amazing Laguna evening."

  • "We have been to this restaurants many times and each time we loved the food and the experience...unfortunately this time the chef tried some new sauces and presentations ...and missed the mark! The chicken "loaf" was dry and lacked flavor and the scallops were drowning in a sauce that was too heavy and overpowered the main attraction. The mushroom bisque was flavorful, but the peanut froth dolloped on top was too salty and unnecessary - once again, upstaging the star attraction! Good news is the bartender rocks - she makes a mean cocktail!!"

  • "Took friends from Florida who were staying at Pelican... they raved about the food through every course. We had the mushroom soup, crazy good and I don't like mushrooms. The second course was the pork belly (don't miss this !). Then we split the duck breast entree cooked to perfection. I love this place and use it as my "go to" for out of towner's who want something they won't find at home. Met my friends after golf the following day... they spent an hour recounting our dining experience. Order something outside your comfort zone and you won't be disappointed."

  • "The four of us (my wife and another couple) were enthralled with the quality, presentation and gourmet level for the menu items we ordered, We are very critical and have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world and find Broadway has raised the bar for overall pure enjoyment. We were sad we have limited time due to tickets for the Laguna Playhouse. Next time we will plan on spending more time and trying new menu items. My wife loved the bone marrow and I thought the salmon, crispy brussells sprouts, and eggplant were wonderful. Our friends also had the salmon, skirt steak, fries and thoroughly enjoyed them. Also the service was superb as well. My wife who is French and a "foodie" could not stop praising Broadway."

  • "Remodeled space of 5'0" Restaurant, very up-scale and nicely done but too loud with all the concrete. They seem to make every dish a fusion of cuisines. Albacore sashimi with avocado ice cream is one example. First plates are very small portions, especially for the price. Second plates were better, however. Their chicken breast is incredibly large and the most tender imaginable. The branzini was good with a crispy skin. Didn't look at their wine list as we brought our own and were surprised with $50 in corkage fees for two bottles. Servers were knowledgeable and helpful. Sommelier was more intrusive than helpful. Overall just too pricy for what we got."

  • "The food was awesome. I am not a big fan of Brussel Spouts. I can eat their Brussel Spout as an entree. There were 4 of us. We have the Bone Marrow, Octopus Salad, Sweet bread and the Branzino. Everything was great. Branzino was a tad over cooked. The popcorn Panna Cotta was delicious. Great neighborhood place. The server was great. They were very attentive to our needs. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Definitely will go back again."

He brought the wine out our table before we were even finish with the prior course so the drinks were getting warm. Especially the chilled whte wine & sake."

Chimichurri steak was very good, chicken with pumpkin gnocchi was flavorful and yummy. Desserts very small but tasty (good to know if sharing)."

  • "I always recommend this place to people. The bartenders are very welcoming and actually know how to make well-balanced cocktails. The food is always a superb and changes regularly for season. My favorites have been the Delmonico Pork, various versions of octopus, and their steak is spot on, regardless of the cut. I always look forward to going to Broadway, and I always leave feeling like I have enjoyed my experience. It has a great vibe. It's super busy on weekends and has a wonderful ambiance even on slower nights. It's our go-to place in Laguna!"

  • "Always difficult to find a place for dinner right before Christmas for my wife's birthday that is special - one that is too quiet because of the Holidays or too full of the Holidays to stand out + has great food, atmosphere, vibe, etc. Fortunately, Broadway was perfect for our needs!"
