  • "Made a special trip to try their off menu Shrimp and Grits. The flavor was fanstastic. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was not too spicy yet rich in flavor. Shrimp portion was excellent, a full 6 large shrimp. The cheesy grits however, could have been a bigger portion, they were more of an after thought than a member of the supporting cast. Grits are inexpensive, so spoon a nice heaping helping and you would have some of the best Shrimp & Grits in St. Charles County."

  • "My wife and I had just moved to Lake St. Louis and were looking for restaurants to try out. We were pleasantly surprised to find Bristol Seafood and Grill. My wife ordered from the Twilight Menu which I believe is available from 4 to 5:30 (This was a Saturday). Her entree came with desert and it was a very good deal. I ordered from the regular menu and both our dishes were fantastic. Our waiter did not steer us wrong in our food selections. I would recommend this restaurant for a night out."

  • "Bristol came recommended from family. We were impressed with the wait staff as well as the food. The manager stopped by our table at the end of out meal, was very friendly, and offered to take care of the check when he noticed our waitress was busy with 4 other tables. Additionally, he gave us a 15% active duty military discount. The deliciousness of the food, the ambiance, and the staff more than make up for the prices."

  • "We have never had a bad meal. The food is fresh and the menu always has unique items. More than that, the service is always top-notch and you can tell that customer service is very important to them and that the diner leaves with a good impression."

  • "Celebrated 2 years of marriage with awesome filet and lobster. Service is exceptional along with complimentary dessert. Highly recommended for special occasions. Fore warning: Price is high and expect "sticker shock"."

  • "We have eaten here several times and it is always a nice experience. Food cooked perfectly and service is excellent. I was a little surprised that the tables appeared a little worn out this time in. Nothing a fresh coat of stain and/or paint wouldn't fix. We go here for special occasions but there seems to be no real dress code."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary on the 25th. Being new to Lake St Louis., we needed suggestions from friends and relatives for a "finer" restaurant. We were not disappointed. The service and food were excellent. Even though the establishment got busier as time went on, we were made to feel very special - that you were glad we were there. I thank you. "

  • "We choose the Bristol because it was close to home and it was our 50th wedding anniversary. Did not realize that they have few booths and when seated out in the open, requested a booth. The waiter was efficient, but did not give us the attitude that he was happy to serve us. Food was ok but nothing special...especially for the price. I ordered the combination steak and scallops. The mashed potatoes were a very small portion. Scallops were very good but the steak was no better than one could find in a place like Texas Roadhouse. Most places that you tell that this is a 50th anniversary will at least make some effort to make the experience special. Nothing. We left with a very cold feeling - not a warm place (not meaning temperature."

  • "There are not many good places in the area for good seafood. Bristol's has really good food, good environment and good service."

  • "We went out for our anniversary. Aside for them not asking if we where there for a special occasion, not that it mattered but our experience was exceptional. My crab legs were some of the best I've had, very sweet, my husbands steak was one of the best he's had. He is in the food service business and we had everything from apps, to dessert and we were ridiculously full :). I'd recommend them over and over and trust, we'll be back soon. I also bought a gift card for a close friend. OH, the servers were very professional and you could tell WELL trained. "

  • "Comparing it to the other upscale restaurant in the area, BCs Kitchen, we will be returning there with regularity. Bristol's is way too expensive for more than a special occasion. Even though we had reservations, they first placed us in an open area in the walking lane obviously to accommodate a waiter. Very poor room management for the price. We asked for a booth and did get one however. Overpriced wine. People, regardless, love upscale food with reasonable wine prices available. The food was good. BCs Kitchen has way better craft beers on tap. Bristol's is Applebie's quality. Work a little harder with the local cool brewerys, please. It's essential to an upscale place. No, this place is not worth the price, I'm afraid."

  • "We had a party of 6 for Mother's Day. The restaurant was setup nicely, the food was good and the servers were very attentive. A very calm brunch scene. The omelettes, waffles and lobster mac-n-cheese were all very good! The fresh fruit was outstanding as well!"

  • "Dinners are wonderful, brunch is different, Brunch Pastries are essentially non existent. Where are those banana blueberry muffin combos you use to have. The desserts are Not exciting, the mousse is crazy sweet as if the recipe has been ignored. The balance of the desserts are borderline BLAW. Check your roast beef for preservatives. You mean you couldn't add a roast beef or ham carving station for the big events Easter and mothers Father's Day? Pastas and potatoes are outstanding. Cioppino is not nearly as good as it was. sausage links routine, bacon is an insult. The omelet and waffle stations are nice. Not enough variety for your brunch to be taken seriously. The staff is off the chart outstanding. "

  • "Yes, it was Mothers Day, but tables were too close. We couldn't move our chairs. For a higher price, you wouldn't expect to see food trays/pans empty. "

  • "Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu which changes daily. The seafood (sea scallops and tuna) were delicious. We felt welcomed on our first visit and felt comfortable to relax after eating, while the server continued to fill our water. It was nice not to be rushed on our first night out without kids in a long while."

  • "The service is on par with the food quality, that is, both excellent. My wife and my meals could not have been more different, grilled tuna / crab cakes, both done just right. Very calming and comfortable dining room. All things considered it was worth the price."

  • "We are regulars here. The food is consistently good and the service is always great. Our waiter this evening was Beau, and he couldnt have been more attentive. This location (they have one in Creve Coeur) has the nicest atmosphere. The Creve Coeur location has been converted from a smoking restaurant to non-smoking, but you can still smell smoke. Bristol O'Fallon is the one you want to go to. Unless you dont mind the smell of stale cigarette smoke. "

  • "Bristol's more than met our expectations. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection. The nine year old and sixteen year old, both finicky eaters, loved it. Service couldn't have been better. "

  • "Over the past 10 years we have enjoyed Bristol's brunches for Easter and Mother's Day. The food and service are always excellent and we love the convenience of it's location to our home. "

  • "We have been eating at Bristol's in Creve Couer for Easter brunch for the last 3yrs. This year I waited too late to get reservations there. What a bummer I thought. You see I have been on strike from cooking Easter dinner for past 4yrs. Why? Plain and simple, no cute little grandkids, no all that running around, and cooking. You see its easy at Bristol's! Omelet station, shrimp galore, elegance, excellent customer service, and excellent food too. As I searched for alternative restaurant, I was surprised to learn that there was another Bristol's in St Charles. Wow, how relieved I was because our church, Church on The Rock, is located right in St Peters. My family had another wonderful time! Until next year or Mother's Day, Smith-Mershons"

  • "We enjoy going to Bristols. The food and service are always great. We were seated immediatley and offered the hot biscuits within minutes of seating. Our server was Trista, she was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and made recommendations which we took and we were very pleased. We had the Grouper and the Hadock both excellent along with house salad and lobster bisque. The side were risotto, green beans, and brussel sprouts. I was never a fan of brussel sprouts, but these are delicious. Since this was a birthday, we also were given a slice of delicious carrot cake. Experience was very pleasant, we will surely return soon."

  • "We have not been to Bristol's in over a year but went there for the good seafood and filet for my father's 75th birthday. The smoky smell (mesquite, not tobacco) was a little strong on entering but became less noticeable with time. Service was very good. Food was very good as expected but the price was high. Bill including tax and tip was almost $350 for 6 adults and 1 child with only 3 glasses of wine for the entire table, no other alcohol, no appetizer and no dessert. Cost will likely delay our return until another special family event or a restaurant promotion"

  • "Our visit to Bristol was an exceptional dining out night! The food was excellent, our server Joe answered all of our questions and guided those who did not know what they should order, to their plates being emptied. We all tried each others fish dish so we could truly enjoy the different tastes we all have. We will definitely come back"

  • "My husband & I dined at Bristol for the first time. If you sign up for their email, you will receive a $15 off coupon. He had fish & chips, & I ordered fried shrimp. They allowed me to substitute french fries for their mashed potatoes, and we both had an apple cole slaw with the meal. Everything was delicious. The rolls they served before dinner were the only part of the meal that was lacking. Service was good, and our food was brought out quickly."

  • "We dine at this location often as its one of our favorite places to eat out at. The food was great as usual, but we can't say the same about our service. The hostess and bus boy were on top of things. It was the server who we weren't thrilled over. Our entrees took about an hour on a Wednesday night and then our desserts took a long time and when we were finally ready to pay she took a long time just to pick up our checks. Maybe she is new as we've never had her before. This experience will not stop us from continuing to dine here often. Just thought the manager on duty should be aware."
