Brasa GrillGreat special occasion place!This place is perfect for a special occasion visit, especially if you like to try a little of a lot of different cuts of meat. It is very reminiscent of the Churrascarias I visited on my trips to Brazil, and the food was every bit as good. The options on the "salad bar" are terrific, although you have to be careful to not eat too much. And it can be a little difficult to tell what some of the selections are as they are not labeled. The staff was prompt and friendly and accommodating. It is a little bit pricey, but for a unique experience and the quality of the food I feel I got a good value for my money. We had a wonderful time, despite the fact that they shoe horn you in there. There were people all around us, sometimes just an arm's length away, and yet you didn't feel like your space was being violated. This was my second time there but the first time for my children and grandchildren. All enjoyed immensely. I have been a few times over the last two years and each time the meats have been some of the best I have ever eaten. The service is quick and constant. The meat servers come very regularly and try to bring special requests. Even the salad bar is top notch. The only draw back is the price. I've never been treated so well in any restaurant. I went to the Brasa Grill in Las Vegas and their salad bar actually had lettuce for the salad as this Cleveland location did not. My overall experience was great and the only negative I really have is that a couple of the steaks I tried were a bit too salty for my tastings. But I would recommend Brasa Grill to any adult person. I do not think it is "kid friendly" though. I plan on coming back when I am of age to drink and try their extensive wine list! The selection of fantastic appetizers and salads includes crab legs and cocktail shrimp, and it's all you can eat. But save room, because the meat course is coming to your table. There is a card on your table with a red side & a green side. When the green is up, waiters with assorted meats on skewers appear to slice off bits for you. There is also a dish of rice, fried bananas and polenta to go along with all that meat. Overall, the meat was good, some a bit dry, but all tasty. I especially liked the pork ribs! It's nothing like any place you ever been to before! It's an all you can eat restaurant that has a buffet in the center of the dining room. The buffet items are mainly side dishes, ranging from fruits, vegetables, seafood and salads. The glorious part of the experience is the table service you get. Waiters come up to your table side with freshly cooked meats on large skewers, which they then tell you which type of meat it is, and ask if you like to try. I was pleased when we arrived that the tables were not as close as I had anticipated, and that the table that they showed us was close to the salad bar but in it's own little corner.The service was excellent and surprisingly the pieces of meat that were cut at the table was of a generous portion. Near the end on our meal my boyfriend wanted to have seconds on a specific meat that did not come around again, so we let our server know and we were promptly served that specific meat. We had 4 kids with us that were ages 10-12. We had been to a Brasa in Canada (near Niagra Falls) before and the meat selection and the salad bar was more extensive at that other location.
The food was good, but some of the meats were so rare, they were inedible (and I love rare-medium rare!).
Our waiter was very slow and we had purchased a "groupon". Once we took the coupon out, we were not treated as well. Also, the Groupon said children under 12 were $12 instead of $20...and they refused to honor it. He would not even get a manager to ask about it.
