  • "Other steak houses may be trendy and "in," but Bones just keeps on keepin' on. It is reliably the best place in Atlanta for steaks prepared exactly as one orders. Sides and appetizers are also outstanding, and the grits fritters are so memorable, they're worth the trip on their own."

  • "What can you say about this timeless, classic steakhouse. The service, the food, the wine are all outstanding. This is a style of dining that is starting to come back. From the beginning with the perfect dry gin martini with blue cheese olives, through the Caesar salad with anchovies, the perfectly prepared dry aged steak served with truffle mash potatoes and Brussels sprouts (skip the grit fritters), and ending with a perfect piece of pecan pie and excellent cup of coffee. Classic. Well done. Old school? Yes and worth every penny!"

  • "If you love all-American steakhouses, you will love Bones. I have been eating at Bones for over 25 years. The food is superb, the service professional, friendly, and efficient, and the overall experience is consistently excellent. "

  • "I have been to Bones many time and it is always awesome in every category. The bone on fillet was orderd by most of us in our party of 9 in one of their private rooms. Every order was perfect. I am a foodie and a wine snob, as a sales director I eat and entertain for a living. I can always count on Bones to be a full and memorable experience for everyone in my party."

  • "Great steaks, fabulous service, an extensive yet reasonably priced wine list and a barkeep who knows how to make cocktails! You cannot go wrong at Bones! My only regret is that I don't live in the Atlanta area. Folks, if you love a good steak and great service, go to Bones."

  • "Bones is often said to be the best steakhouse in Atlanta. Considering the competition includes such fine places as Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, its a tough statement to support. After eating there, I have to say that its a very strong statement. From the complimentary valet parking to the amazing appetizers to the phenomenal steaks, everything was perfect. The service was the best I have experienced in a fine dining restaurant in Atlanta. And its rare that I am actually surprised by the quality of the food in a high end restaurant but they managed to exceed even my high expectations. Their wine suggestions was spot on."

  • "consistently excellent quality of food and service."

  • "This is supposed to be the best steakhouse in Atlanta but it fell far short in my opinion. I split the huge porterhouse and both I and my wife found it very fatty and not that great. We went there for a birthday celebration and the restaurant staff was terrific, I can't fault them. Perhaps we just happened to get a bad steak. I've eaten at a lot of excellent steak houses all over the country and I was truly disappointed in the meal itself. I didn't complain, perhaps I should have. Mckendricks is far better in my opinion and Rathbun's I'm told by friends is fabulous as well."

  • "The food and service was outstanding...It was very peaceful and romantic."

  • "This was my second time dining at Bone's and it was superb. The standard of excellence that I received my first visit was given just the same on my second visit. The filet was so juicy, it was perfectly done. Anyone who wants to have a true fine dining experience, Bone's is where it should be."

  • "Service was poor. Our lunch order was taken 40 minutes after being seated, clearly we were forgotten. When the server (Brian S) finally got back to us, the lunch specials were gone. There were 4 of us, tab was $584.00. I eat here regularly when meeting cleints, but have noticed service lacking recently. Unfortunately, I do not plan to return as there are many other new restaurants around that are just as good.....if not better."

  • "From the engaging bartenders, to the uber-competent wait staff, and to the perfectly-prepared steaks and sides, this was the best steakhouse experience I've had in many, many years. Bones is the top steakhouse in Atlanta, and in my personal top three nationwide."

  • "It is one of the two best steaks I have ever had - period. If you want a great steak - this is the place. It really was so tender (I had the filet) that it was the proverbial "melt in your mouth". Salad and sides were also very good. We were too full to indulge in dessert, but the desserts we saw delivered to the other tables looked like "guilty pleasures". The service was perfect and the ambience was New York Steakhouse - a place you would want to take a "selfie". It was excellent in almost every regard with two exceptions: I was surprised there were no choices of St. Emilion or Bordeaux wines on the wine list, and our "take home" leftovers were taken by a waiter and then tossed and their effort to provide a substitute was inadequate."

  • "This has always been an exceptional dining experience. In every aspect Bones represents excellence in a dining experience. We have always picked it for any special event."

  • "Good atmosphere and service, but the steak was not as good as expected and definitely not worth the price paid. It was tough and slightly over cooked. However, the side dished turned out to be very good"

  • "Like the owners and servers, Bones is The Classic Restaurant in Atlanta. Highest quality beef around; the servers and staff have been there forever. Everyone knows the customer's name, so it feels like a club. Amazing wine list from all over the world, with low markup for the expensive wines, making it a bargain to order the higher priced bottles. Not to be missed."

  • "Title says it all. I would try somewhere else first. Nice wine list, mashed potato side great. Filet temp was off. Ribeye cooked perfectly. Service was spotty...when server was around, he was great. We both had to put salt on our steaks. Mountain high pie was fantastic."

  • "Everything about this restaurant from start to finish was impeccable. I've lived in ATL for 10 years and never eaten at Bones and took my boyfriend for his birthday. The food/drinks and service was amazing."

  • "Ibrahim (waiter) and Jason (matri de) sp? were so kind and attentive to us during our visit. They made our anniversary so very special. We will return next year for our 57th, God willing."

  • "Lane was our wonderful waiter. He was so helpful, funny and seemed to enjoy us a his customers. Four of us went to celebrate my husbands birthday. We would recommend Bones for any type of celebration, they would do their best to accommodate any requests (within reason). From the start, excellent cocktails and the freshest tasting seafood sampler. Then on to the warm bacon spinach salad, creamy buttered mashed potatoes, fresh asparagus and of course, spectacular meats. We all were impressed by each dish. A wonderful time was had. Thank you Lane and Bones restaurant for a yummy celebration."

  • "I am always blown away by the level of service and quality of steaks at Bones. My husband's favorite place when wanting to go to a Steakhouse in Atlanta. The wine list is fantastic and if steak isn't your thing, there are plenty more options. Great intimate atmosphere."

  • "Took some clients out for dinner and this place did not disappoint. It had an incredible wine list and phenomenal menu choices. We ordered almost everything and it was all absolutely delicious!"

  • "First class establishment, amazing food and excellent staff. We will be dining at Bones as long as we live in Atlanta. Such a great experience."

  • "Found on the internet rated no 1 steakhouse in the area. Steaks are awesome, but had better. Service was super. Knowledgeable and adopted the purpose of our visit. Wine list is extensive and some great finds in the Bones picks section. Overall a great dinner and should we return in the area we would probably return. Recommended for those looking for a safe choice and a high quality experience with no surprises."

  • "I took my girlfriend there for her birthday and everyone from the front door host to the waiter told her "Happy Birthday" and they had the table decorated for her. The meal was perfect and in the end they brought a free desert."

  • "Bone's was my choice for a retirement luncheon. We were seated in a small room and the attentiveness of the servers was outstanding! I can't wait to return for another special occasion."

  • "I almost stayed downtown since that is where my conference was but chose Buchkead since that is where my favorite restaurant is. I have eaten at most of Atlanta's favorites.... but I still pick Bones as my first choice. You are always met with respect and made to feel special. As always the meal was great and our waiter Jeremy was the best. He seems to just read your mind and is there right when you need him and yet not overbearing. We had the Bones salad which is the tastiest and most unique salad around. The shrimp/lobster with a pufff pastry is to die for. We ate every bite and wiped the sauce clean with the bread. I always get the bone-in ribeye which was wondeful....I need to branch out but I just can't bring myself to. Thanks Bones."

  • "Our dinner at Bone's was FANTASTIC! I scheduled dinner for 3 ( ATT managers + me) via OpenTable midday, Monday. I was able to secure a table with no problems. Unknowingly, my boss invited 2 more managers late in the day. I called Bones to update them on the 2 additional people, table for 5 instead of 3, and the staff was able to accommodate. My management team is primarily health conscious from the West Coast, so reserving a spot at Bones was a perfect match. They all ordered STEAK and Veggies. There were no complaints but good ole moans and groans on how full they were. The service was excellent. We had a fantastic waiter and staff who tended to our needs. I know that I received extra ‘kudos’ for pulling this one off thanks to Bones!"

  • "The great service we received made the food, that was already great to begin with, even better. I have been here multiple times, but am always leaving very satisfied. The waiters also made my girlfriend's birthday feel very special."

  • "Bones is an excellent restaurant, with great employees. From the valet all the way through our meal we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Having gone to Texas de Brazil the day before and having their Filet Mignon (which is the best I have had from a restaurant) I believe that for the price it was a good steak, but not the best I've had. I would recommend this place to anyone who asked about it. I drove from Birmingham Alabama to Atlanta Georgia to experience this restaurant with my wife for her birthday weekend. She was also thoroughly pleased with the service, food, atmosphere, and overall experience. Bones has been added to our list of favorite places for fine dining and excellent service."

  • "What a nice place as well as very good service. Very attentive to every need. Loved, Loved, Loved it! If you have not been, you need to. The filet was excellent. All the sides feeds family style we had 4 people and we still had some left over. A Must Go!"

  • "My husband and I was there for dinner for our anniversary, they call us by our last name. They knew the menu and was able to suggest the best thing to us."

  • "A classically elegant atmosphere…. has old school, fine dining feel with all attentions to detail covered. Excellent service and amazing, creative food. The steaks, of course, are amazing but their appetizers, salads & desserts are very creative and also delicious!"

  • "2nd visit to Bone's was as fantastic as the first. Lobster bisque is a must. Have enjoyed the Porterhouse and Filet - both were awesome. A bit pricey but you get your $'s worth. Sides are nothing to write home about but it's not a "Side's House". All in all great experience."
