  • "my group and I did not like the service that we got while eating at Bocado. The waiter would forget what we ordered or asked for, he rushed to take our drinks and plates off the table before we were done, he also gave us the check before we were even done with our meal. It felt as if we were being rushed out of there and we could not have a relaxing meal. I would not recommend this restuarant to anyone who values good service while eating out."

  • "My boyfriend and I dined at Bocado on Saturday night. They took us right at our reservation time and were so friendly from the host to the bartenders and especially our waiter! The place was packed but we were treated like we were the only people there. The food was amazing especially the mozzarella balls and goat cheese and bread dish!! I would go back again in a heart beat."

  • "The staff was friendly and were well versed on the menu. Our waitress made several recommendations were proved to be outstanding. The fried goat cheese, braised rabbit and the Piquillo Rellanos were delicious. We had the Bocado experience for two and are looking forward to another night with a few other couples to expand our choice of Tapas. Nice Spanish wine list. Our waitress was outstanding and we will definitely be back"

  • "If you love various wines, cheeses, and small dishes to taste, this is the place for you. Romantic candlelit tables with comfortable booths. Favorites include fried goat cheese, lamb lollipops and mussels in a cream sauce. All of the tapas we ordered was excellent..Sangria is tasty, and the servers are well versed in all food and wine options, based on your individual taste...Would highly recommend this place for those looking for a romantic evening with dim lighting, and a menu which allows you a magnitude of delicious dishes to sample.."

  • "Great dining experience. While we each had our favorites we also shared and enjoyed everything that came out to our table. On one hand it feels a bit like a place to go for a special occasion, but the truth is that you could go monthly, not break the bank, and never get bored. We ordered the Bocado Experience as we were with our two older teens and wanted to sample many items. The service was both informative and attentive. The noise level increased as the restaurant got packed, but I never felt like I had to shout across the table. Favorites included: venison, rare tuna, shrimp burgers, and duck. We will put Bocado in our rotation of places to go more often."

  • "We love the ambiance at Bocado's. The service is outstanding - they take time and effort to educate and train their wait staff on the menu. It is on the expensive side which is why we come on special occasions. There is an extensive imported wine selection and the staff are helpful to select something that is compatible. Usually the food matches the services but our last visit was disappointing. It is the first time that we had to send food back due to bad quality. Maybe this was a one time event but when you are paying premium prices, you expect the kitchen to be monitoring the food being produced."

  • "The food here was just amazing! The scallops wrapped in bacon and the pork meatballs are ones not to miss! There is a lot of food. The dinner for two was way too much food. But since it was our first time at Bacado, we wanted to experience everything! I would pass and stick with either the tapas. We did have fleets of wine. Nice way to sample the Spanish wines! Looking forward to returning!"

  • ""Why would I drive to Worcester?" you ask. Bocado! One of the best dinners I've had in a very long time! Each plate was distinct, delicious, and dare I say, made me delirious! The bacon wrapped scallops were second to none, and don't miss out on the chiles rellenos. If you dig Tapas, run, don't walk to Bocado. You'll be thrilled you did! A bit pricey...worth it!"

And a terrific bargain with its multicourse menu selections for two, four, or more persons ($75 for four courses for two people and great selections with nice sized portions). From the hostess who greeted us to the servers who cared for us, EVERYONE was pleasant and helpful. A real gem! We highly recommend it and will go back again."

  • "I really liked this place, and made a point to come restaurant week, despite bringing a baby and a kindergarten er. We came early, 4:30, and other kids were there. Fun wine list. Restaurant week menu for 3 filled up 3 adults and a kid. We enjoyed the tapas. Having lived in Barcelona for a short while, and traveled Spain, I found it moderately authentic. We didn't love the paella. I considerd it filler. The croquettes and fried goat cheese were wonderful. I found the tortilla de patata (very typical dish) seeming a bit old and potato heavy. Tortillas like this in Spain are cheap eats, served large and often in a sandwich for a few bucks. Cute, nice bar scene. (As we were leaving :)....)"

  • "Dined at Bocado with 5 girl friends during Worcester Restaurant Week. Even though we ordered from the discounted restaurant week menu, we were still treated to the full Bocado experience. Service was excellent, not rushed. Food was outstanding as always, great selection of Sangria to choose from. Tapas is a fun way to dine with a group of friends. A unique dining experience for those times you are looking for something a little different."

  • "Can't wait until the next time. We got there about 45 minutes early for our reservation and had to stand for about 30 minutes. The bartender was very attentive to us and very polite. After the bar cleared up we were able to sit until it was time for us to be seated at our table. Our reservation was at 9pm, we were seated before that. This is not a complaint at all since we arrived WELL BEFORE our seating time. The food, is always great and comes out quickly! Delicious."

  • "went with a group of 7. Did the bocado expierence for 4 and there was PLENTY of food for everyone. We got multiple pitchers of sangria which was just as good as the food. Great to be able to get a meat/cheese plate, a ton of small plates and still get a dinner and desert served with the bocado expierence. would deff. recommend this for a large group. Great experience overall."

  • "Overall the food was nice. I found our waiter to be a bit patronizing about our food selections- how much is there to say about fried goat cheese with honey drizzle ? Waiter was also slightly annoying coming over a bit too often and asking if everything was to our liking- I'd rather not be interupted nine times at dinner, if there is a problem I'd have said something but that might just be me. One last thing I might add was that I was freezing at our table - great table to look out but absolutely frigid with the single digit weather outside. My suggestion tell the waiters less is more unless the customer is asking questions and add some heating ducts near the tables right against the window so people are able to warm up inside."

  • "Bocado is in a mostly industrial area of the city, but it's worth the trip. Although there's a parking lot across the street, it was inadequate for the number of customers in attendance on a Friday night during Worcester Restaurant Week. However, there were spots available along surrounding side streets within 1-2 blocks. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and the selections for the special-price menu were numerous. The dishes appeared as they emerged from the kitchen; portions were very generous. The food was delicious. The honey goat cheese appetizer is highly recommended, as is the garlic shrimp. The paella clasica also was a highlight although we had to finish some of this for lunch the next day."

  • "We dined at Bocado on a Friday night during restaurant week. We had a reservation for 9:30 pm, a little late for us but all they had available. We arrived about 30 min early hoping for an earlier seating. We didn't get our table till 9:30 but were able to get a cozy table in the bar area for a drink while waiting. Ambiance is very nice with low lighting and brick walls. Even though it was a very cold February night it was warm inside the restaurant with the addition of full length curtains near the door to block any breeze coming in. When we were seated our server was very good at describing the menu options. Our food came in a timely manner and was delicious. The Bocado Experience for 2 was great and a lot of food."

  • "The food was great overall, although the portions were larger than expected. We did the "experience for 2", and it was wayyy too much food. I didn't love the paella, because the rice was cooked al dente, but maybe it's supposed to be that way. Otherwise, the tapas plates were delicious, and there wasn't one that I didn't love. Server was very responsive and knowledgeable."

  • "Nice ambience. A liitle too loud the night we were there. Bartender was inattentive, waitstaff excellent. The 2 best tapas: piquillos rellenos and charcutería platter. Sangría was disappointing- too juicy. We rate it 3.25 out of 5 stars. We will go back in 6 months- hope it continues to improve. Overall good experience."

  • "Bocado is one of my favorite spots in Worcester. Their fried goat cheese and excellent sangria bring me back every-time. I brought my boyfriend there for the first time on Friday, and he enjoyed it very much! He was able to find food he liked, which is a miracle because he is a very picky eater. The churros at the end were the icing on the cake, so delicious. I was full for hours!"

  • "Hands down my favorite restaurant. The food is delicious and extremely well thought out. The way that certain flavors are paired together is just genius. It's a great atmosphere for a large group to get together and order a bunch of tapas to share. The sangria is my personal favorite :) the waitstaff is professional, attentive, but also fun. This restaurant is just fantastic!"

  • "Bocado on Valentines Day: From the descriptions of the Flamenco dancing and special wine dinners, the impression was that this was an upscale, destination-type restaurant. It is more of a nice bar with good food. The flavors are less than authentic, but that was to be expected. It was a little disappointing not to have any anchovies as a choice. The grilled octopus was excellent. We had the Bocado Experience for 2. It was plenty of food - even before the paella. We were allowed to substitute the special Valentines Day dessert for the churros, but it was a little disappointing. Would I go again? Not for a special occasion. But if were in Worcester and wanted to go have drinks and better than average bar food, I definitely would."

  • "My husband and I had our recent date night at Bocado. We've been here before and love the atmosphere, food and sangria! During our evening, we encountered a snag with our tapas as they were not coming out of the kitchen and the manager and waitress kept apologizing and took care of the situation for us! We were having so much fun chatting and enjoying the food that we didn't really noticed. It is nice that establishments still do the right thing! We will definitely be back on our next date night!"

  • "My wife and I have enjoyed Tapas before and were very pleased with everything at Bocado. The restaurant was a surprise find for us in Worcester and it feels like a place that you would find closer to Boston. Upon arrival we had complimentary valet parking and then we were seated at our table. We had the $75 dinner for two which had enough food to bring home. The waiters recommendations were excellent and we enjoyed each dish we had. In order to save room for the desert we had to bring the final plate home. All around a great experience and we will certainly be going to Bocado again."

  • "My Date and I had the Paella and it was grossly undercooked, ... I mean there was still water at the bottom of the dish when it was served and there were grains of rice that was as hard as when it came out of the package. When you spend $155.00 for dinner you do not expect that."

  • "My husband and I braved the snowstorm the night after Valentines to dine at Bocado and we were glad we did! Everything you choose off of the menu is great! The house sangria was a nice reality break from the winter blues too! Definitely a place for people willing to experiment with different tasting foods. Service was very helpful and excellent all night!"

  • "My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at bocado very much. The food is always great. We tried a couple of the specials (surf and turf Mac n cheese and chicken fried steak). They were good but I preferred the regular menu items. Fried goat cheese and this one eggplant dish are always favorites of mind. The house sangria is awesome. A couple times I've tried other sangrias (limoncello, orange blossom, etc) but the house is always the best! Staff was very kind and informative, as usual."
