  • "The food was average but there were so many opportunities for them add a signature touch to several dishes that I feel other high-end restaurants are able to make you say "you have to try the ____. It's the best!". We had both steaks and seafood and neither were memorable. The sides were weak and could have easily been made special. Something as simple as exotic 3 cheese macaroni would have been nice, but no, it tasted like it plain cheddar cheese Kraft.... boring! Crème Brule was simple and didn't have any fruit or other topping to add that nice touch. Strike 1, 2 and 3 !!! Dinner for 4 people, 2 cocktails, a $75 bottle of wine and 2 desserts = $400 before tip. For that price I expect some amazing."

My husband enjoyed the pork chops -- the portions were HUGE. We appreciated the fact that side dishes are included with the price of the entree--that is indeed rare at high-priced steakhouses these days. We had a 7-year-old with us as we were in town on spring break. The staff were very friendly to her and did not treat us as if we were unwelcome. In fact, they were welcoming and sweet. She simply wanted soup and there was a mashed potato dish on one of the daily specials that she wanted. They were kind enough to let us order it. I appreciated that. Go Bob's."

We ordered a bottle and my friend spilled her glass and they gave us 2 extra glasses on the house. My filet mignon was juicy and pink in the center with a crisp flavorful top. We would definitely visit Bob's again."

We waited at the bar for our party to arrive and the bar staff introduced themselves and went out of their wry to make sure we had the cocktails we wanted. Table service was excellent and tte meal was outstanding. Highly recommend the location. It was intimate and love the rich wood decor."

  • "By far the best downtown has to offer. Extremely friendly without over doing it. Suggestions were not forced upon you. I'm a big fan of steaks and over the years, I've dined at some of the best Dallas has to offer. Some met there ratings while others I couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about and then came you. This was the first time ever that I didn't have to have to send my steak back . From the first bite to the last, I was completely in awe of the tenderness and flavor of the bone in rib eye. Most importantly, you didn't forget the special request that I ask for when I made reservations. To those who haven't been to Bob's, my suggestion is hurry and make reservations. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for a lovely evening."

  • "Great food and service. I go to this location almost monthly for work dinners. First time on a weekend. The hotel was overflowing with cheer competition folks. The restaurant was packed with loud teen girls and their parents. Many parents couldn't even change out of shorts and tshirts. Front drive was closed due to another event and the valet wait was 30 minutes, so we had to self park in the nearly full parking garage."

  • "Because of the Auto Show at the Convention the parking and valet was horrible. The hotel was packed with people everywhere, camped out on the floor, couches, and chairs. All this set the mood to a disappointing anniversary dinner. Sent the tomato mozzarella salad back, it seemed to have warmed up and the cheese was slimy. The crab cakes had too much breading, and we ordered the special which was red snapper with asparagus risotto. There was no asparagus to be found and the risotto was overcooked and mushy. Not what we were expecting. The bread was good!"

  • "We booked the dinner in advance thru Open Table, and then got a personal call the afternoon of our reservation, confirming everything and said she would ensure that we had a nice table for our 30th wedding anniversary meal. We were treated well, and when my husband had issues with the 'noise' in the room from a large table, they made our table transition absolutely transparent to us. Wine list included a favorite 'rare' wine which made my night! Our Server was outstanding! Knew her stuff and attentive, personable but not intrusive. Food was absolutely outstanding....from Calamari to bone-in filets, etc. Wonderful place. Only note re ambience is that the acoustics in the dining areas is a bit distorting."
