Boathouse on the PierThe food was very good, butThe food was very good, but the real drawing point of this restaurant was the service and the view at sunset. The outdoor seating on the pier and on their deck was excellent. The first time was with a restaurant I was familiar with so I was not worried. This time however I was not familiar with the restaurant, so I went ahead and took a chance. I am so happy I did. The Boathouse is a wonderful place to eat. The service was excellent, and the food was simply delicious. The restaurant is small so it this made the dining experience more unique much more enjoyable then the busy chain loud restaurants. The sunset dinner is indescribable. I highly recommend this place, and cannot wait to visit Tahoe again as we will defiantly be coming here again.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLovelyWe had never been to the Boathouse before and had a lovely time. We went right at sunset and sat outside up stairs. It was really beautiful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My date is new to the Tahoe and had never really experienced seeing the water . Could not hold a conversation at our table. Food was excellent as usual, except for the steak, which lacked flavor & was not prepared to our order. It happens.
