  • "Normally, we give 4-5 stars across the board. This particular night, service was atrocious. We always eat at the bar and this night, one of the bartenders was much more interested in chatting up a party of four drunken 20-something women at the half-empty bar than tending to other customers. At the end of the meal, when we finally attracted his attention for the check, he responded, "Right away", and proceeded to return to his harem for a full 10 minutes before bringing our bill. We'll keep going back to this restaurant because the food is excellent, but we now know which bartender to avoid."

Wish the server hadn't charged for Maker's Mark when my husband specifically said that he was okay with the house bourbon. What could have been a really nice experience was good, but not great."

  • "We've enjoyed Steelhead Diner in the past so decided to give Blueacre a shot and it didn't go well. To begin, our table was cold and drafty but they were busy and couldn't move us. The mgr nicely stopped by the table to say he'd turned up the heat but everyone kept their coats on the whole evening. Food took forever, and other tables who ordered after us were served 15 min before us. Again the mgr came by to apologize. Appetizers were fine but the kid's meal was supposed to come WITH the apps, not 20 min later. At last entrees: 2 of 3 were fine but my porkchop was inedibly overdone. Another apology. Comped my food & gave the kid icecream. The mgr really did try to help but the whole place just didn't seem up to the rush of a busy night."

The waiter was not going to give us Happy Hour information because he didn't know what time it was. He did though & we ordered drinks & appetizers; then he came to specifically let us know Happy Hour was almost over. Other than seeing him at other tables and bringing the Happy Hour appetizers & drinks, we did not see much off him at our table. We had to call the manager over TWICE! The food was delicious and our water glasses were always filled, but overall our service was dismal. I may go back once I have forgotten how poor the service was this time, but don't count on it. Try Steelhead Diner (same owners)."

  • "I'm sure you can improve on salads. Especially for lunch. My salad was too heavy with the avocado. I'm pretty sure that was more than 1 avocado. My friends Beet Salad had so many Beets that we didnt see any greens. She asked for more greens. Way too much Beets. We work nearby and would love to eat at your restaurant more often, but the salads really need some attention. Protein with a salad is very important, so maybe those things could factor in for a healthy meal. Thank you for your consideration. The $20 lunch special is over priced. Who eats dessert? How about just the salad and the main entree for $15-$18? pp"
