  • "Food was very good, but not worth anywhere near the price of admission. This is not Manhattan and would be considered overly expensive even there."

  • "This is a great spot to go. I mentioned in my on-line reservation that it was our 20th anniversary. Everyone was so friendly and all wished us a happy anniversary. When dessert was ordered and brought to the table, there was a candle in each of our desserts and "Happy 20th Anniversary" spelled out in chocolate on the serving plates. We have been to Insignia a number of times. As a "sister" company, Blackstone Steakhouse is just as good! Maybe a little more on the business-casual attire appropriate than Insignia, but...well...I can't decide which I prefer more!!! Now I have to try Rare 650 to compare the 3rd restaurant that is "related", or do I just go back to Blackstone or Insignia. Decisions, Decisions!!!!"

  • "everything we had was great with the exception of the $100 special ribeye that was almost all fat.. My sons Filet was amazing as were the potatoes and spinach."

  • "Filet mignon was cooked perfectly with a nice char. The service was excellent. The wait staff was very attentive to our party of six. This was the second visit for our family and hope to return soon!"

  • "The dining experience was good though not great. The sirloin was good but had a fatty trim. It was cooked well and was medium rare as ordered. The mushrooms side dish was disappointing especially as it cost $13. This is a very pricey restaurant and the service was a little over the top and came across as insincere. I only ordered the steak, mushrooms and one glass of wine and the cost was $79 before gratuity....thus I reserve Blackstones for expense account dining or special occasions."

  • "$300 dinner for two, the caesar salad had olive paste with an awful after taste. Tempura artichoke had so much grease in it could not be eaten. Bone in filet, was full of fat & the toughest piece of filet I have ever had. Was here for a birthday, called twice to ask them to note the reservation to help us celebrate by putting a candle in the dessert, which they didn't do it until they overheard me tell my friend I tried to get them to help us celebrate, but clearly they couldn't get it right. Then they brought another dessert with a candle & charged us for two desserts. I would never go here again. Worst cut of meat I have ever had. Place is overrated to say the least. Awful and disappointed."

  • "This time was every bit as good as our visit last week. The Sunday dinner-for-two option is a very good value. I ordered the scallops off the regular menu, and they were perfect. Excellent service!"

  • "We were celebrating our birthdays & took advantage of the Sunday night specials. Food was excellent & we were able to share alot of the sides. Ray & John were attentive, but not too! They gave us ample time to order & were not rushed in any way. Would def go back again."

  • "The resturant is located in nice area decor and ambience is good but food was really bad. It was a pricey resturant when you pay good money food should be superior but somehow was not."

  • "This was not our first dinner at Blackstone's. The quality of food is predictably amazing. John and John.....our waiters were very attentive, knew the menu inside out and anticipated our every need. Can't wait to go back"

  • "Waiting staff was very attentive and well informed. The waiter recommend a Malbec which was just under $100.00, but very good. We ordered the Porterhouse for 3 to serve our party of 4. The steak was brought to the table within 25 minutes and served appropriately. We ordered the Porterhouse medium-rare, it appeared that the steak was cooked more toward the medium range. The steak was tasty but nothing to write home about. We had had a Porterhouse the day before in New York City and it was much more juicy and flavorful. Overall we had a good dining experience and I will return."

  • "Went with my girl first tune hear we have been to a few places like the. My girl has been all over the world and both agreed best service and food , I ate it and couldent believe it was so good but it was my girl also dropped one of her charms for her bracelet and the busboy wouldn't stop looking for over a half hour to find it. The manager waiter and staff went over and beyond to make this the best experience we could have. A+ over all"

  • "Blackstone is a highend steakhouse and therefore I expected it to be excellent. The service was superior. We were seated right away. The server made good suggestions. The food was very good. One negative was that I orderd the bone in ribeye and asked for it medium to medium rare - pinkish red center, but it was closer to medium and barely pink. The appetizers were very good. We had lobtser and split a wedge salad. The 1/2 wedge salad I had was biog enought for one portion. I actually ordered spinach and mashed potatoes, but changed my mind and cancelled the mashed potatoes. They brought it out anyway at no charge."

  • "Usually we have dinner here but checked in for some afternoon delight. Slightly different lunch menu, baked Polenta was a welcome surprise. Noise leelv is usually high but a bit dimmer at 1PM. Good times as always"

  • "It was okay, I was told that the food was so good and I wasn't impressed. The steak for two that was 100.00 was small and fatty. Honestly I have had better steaks at applebees, less fat and tastier. The dessert was great, the sides the cream spinanch and the home fries were good. But I didn't go there for that I went there for steak and was kind of disapointed. I ordered my steak medium and it came out raw and had to get sent back."

  • "This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to but we usually go 2 or 3 times a year as it's expensive. Dinner for 2 which only had 1 glass of wine on the bill was $240 with no dessert or coffee. $290 after tip. We noted the prices went up AGAIN, which they had the last two times we went. My ribeye was cooked to perfection & delicious as always. Sushi, which we both had as our appetizers, was amazing. We also split a Caesar salad which we enjoyed. We had a wonderful waiter named Badi who made our dining experience even nicer. At this point I think Blackstone's best & most affordable deal is their Sunday Surf & Turf dinner where you get everything from appetizers through dessert for $99 for two people. I highly recommend that to everyone!"

  • "The decor was weird from the beginning. The theme doesnt really match what they are looking to do with restaurant. Apps were ok but the polenta was horrible tasted like 5 day old cake. The steaks were flavor-less. Really disappointed. The restaurant is lazy because its a negligible difference between rare650 menu and blackstone. Id rather go to rare but if you want better experience time and effort put into a restaurant go to Prime in huntington."

  • "A fabulous evening for a couple of Vegas transplants! Valet was waiting. Well made cocktails, crowded but still serviceable bar. Our reservation was ready and we we're properly seated by an attentive hostess. The restaurant waslarge but with roomy and distinct tables that felt intimate. There was an awesome cold seafood bar on one side and the cooks firing up steaks on the other. Our wait staff, Anthony and Santos, we're perfect. We requested a sommelier and he (Evan I think) was spot on with his recommendation. The food from the shrimp cocktails and the oysters on the half, to a great salad, to the steak and lobster was really fantastic. I expect this will be our new weekend spot whenever we're in town. One P.I.P. : we need live music!"

  • "I have eaten at Blackstone numerous times, and I have found a consistency of excellence that is well controlled and well executed. The food selections and specials are never to be missed, and the temperatures are always prepared perfectly to order- or it is fixed. If there are food restrictions, the kitchen is always ready to assist. I have never had a bad meal, and I expect that I never will."

  • "The positives? 1.The food was exceptionally good. Tasty, warm, nice presentation. 2. For the most part we had a nice evening. 3. Living in Melville, it's nice to have a steak house restaurant around the corner from our home. The negatives? 1. The rooms were stiflingly hot - all of our party agreed on that. . . and being overly warm was not conducive to comfort. 2. We had ordered an appetizer to be shared as an appetizer and it did not arrive until after the main entre was on the table. 3. The bus staff removed the bread plates (with bread still on each) prior to the entre being presented. I like to have my bread with dinner and it was removed before I could object. 4. I had to repeatedly request that my empty water glass be refilled. :("

  • "This is our second time dining here for a coprorate dinner and both have been excellent experiences. The food is excellent as well as the service. Ray and Anthony were exceptional with their recommendations and attentiveness. In addition one of the guests had a fish/seafood allergy and they were excellent in accomodating choices that were safe to eat."

  • "Fantastic ribeye. Meat perfectly cooked. My girlfriends lamb chops were delicious as well. The service was great and the ambience was nice too. What great food! The food is pricey so be ready to drop $200. Not something I'd do all the time but on a special occasion this' a great place to go. My girlfriend had a great time."

  • "Booked a party of 9 people for by boyfriends 50th birthday. We were greeted by a smiling hostess, who took our coats and led us to the bar where we were meeting the rest of our party. Bartender was awesome! After being seated, the waiter gave a quick precise and knowledgable run through of the dinner specials. Bread, followed by appetizers (I had a mixed seafood cocktail with 2 shrimp, lobster tail and lump crab for $20) and salads. We ordered 5-6 side dishes. Each one was yummier than the next! I ordered a whole fish, which was presented, then deboned and served. The steaks were fabulous! Everyone loved their meal. One person was unhappy with the temperature of her steak, and the problem was remedied ASAP."

  • "I just love this place. This is my second business lunch here and it is outstanding. The menu is amazing and quite varied. There is something for everyone from Sushi to many seafood options to of course steak and any combination thereof. The service is great and the food was amazing. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but it has great value. Quality everything and I plan on going back for dinner so I can try the wine!"

  • "The place was very nice. We had the $99.00 dinner for two. This is only on Sundays. It came with steak, chicken, shrimp, vegetables, mash potatoes(which are the best I ever had), & stuffing. I do not like stuffing, but this one was really good. I ate most of it. You also get appetizers, coffee, tea & dessert. I felt very special. The staff was very attentive! We enjoyed our selves very much."

  • "This was my second trip to Blackstone Steakhouse and most likely my last. For the second time the steak (porterhouse for two)was fatty, more was left on the plate than was eaten. In addition, all the side dishes were just moderately warm when served making them ice cold by the middle of the meal. For the premium price, Blackstone's is not worth the trip."
