  • "Very accomodating for our four young grandchildren. Appreciated the very fast food delivery. When you dine with little ones, the waiting period can become a problem. The two servers assigned to our tables were very attentive. There was a slight problem when the supply of bread coudln't keep up with the demand. It was so good, the kitchen ran out of supply. The garden salads were larger and improved. The size of lettuce leaves were on the large size and could use further cutting. Artichoke appetizer was seasoned just right."

  • "My wifes birthday and we decided to hit Black Angus. Steaks were excellent and the Cheesy Garlic bread is always a hit with us. We went early so we could hit a movie after dinner, so things were quiet. Servings were generous and overall a good choice for a birthday dinner."

  • "Our waitress was extremely unfriendly and rude. When I had a question she snapped at me. I understand that she was busy or could of been having a bad day, but that's not my fault. It was extremely loud and hard to hear my husband sitting next to me. Everything that we ate had absolutely no seasoning on it. A little salt could do wonders for the potatoes and meats. If you're coming for a special occasion I would suggest going someplace else. Our anniversary dinner was ruined by this experience. The one good thing though, was the Big Mountain Fudge cake. That was Devine! If I go back, it will be just for that cake."

We also got our meal before or appetizer and salad were done. They had the leftovers boxed up before we were done eating and my husband felt he had to take half his steak home."

  • "Its a place where we usually go for family birthdays. Everyone seems to loves the Campfire Feast since you also get the appetizers. I also am one who loves your filet Mignon and it is always cooked perfect. The beer was a little warm I was told, but the mixed drinks, no problems."

  • "First off, love Open Table, we booked a reservation and arrived seeing a fair number of people waiting to be seated. However, once we gave them hostess our name, we were whisked away to a seat right away! The menu isn't incredibly extensive, so the food they make is always top notch! The flavors are vibrant, presentation is simple and portions are great for the price! Never feel rushed here and time just flows as you enjoy the experience. This is the third time about on month that we've gone and always enjoyed so we come back!"

  • "We drove for nearly an hour to eat here, and had high expectations. Both the food and the service didn't disappoint. After starting with the sampler appetizer, which was very good, we had two different salads. The worst we can say about them was the Caesar had a few too many croutons. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, and the sides were also perfect. We finished by sharing the Cowboy cookie, which was crispy on the edges, gooey in the middle, served warm with ice cream and was delicious. I would be hard-pressed to name another time that the service was as good. The waitress brought a soft drink refill without being asked. She was attentive without being intrusive. Very enjoyable, and definitely worth the trip!"

  • "When you sign up for their email-based club, they send you a coupon on your birthday. Buy 1 steak, get 1 free. Up to $20.99, an amount that hasn't changed in years, and I'm not sure they have any steaks available at that price any more. Still, $21 off a steak dinner is a nice deal. We usually order a Sampler appetizer, which is tasty, but then we have a lot of leftovers, and feel very bloated. This time, we just ordered dinners. The salads were crisp, fresh, and cold. My steak (1 lb Rib-Eye) had a LOT of non-marbled fat - my biggest complaint. My wife liked her (off-the-menu) bacon-wrapped filet mignon. The loaded baked potato and sweet potato fries were both very good. My son liked his Chicken Breast Kids Meal."

  • "Having never been before this year, this marks the second time in 2 weeks going here. Food is great, staff very helpful and it's like being in a second home. Majority of the people here are regulars, but they don't treat us newcomers any different. Yes, it's a bit more expensive than some places, but the quality is what you pay for. Flavors abound, the high back booths offer not only privacy, but noise control. It's funny, after living here over 10 years, I only found out that it's not too far from our house. It's in a secluded part of downtown Vancouver, WA, near the I-5, but it isn't noisy at all. Right next door to the Comfort Inn, it's perfect for the traveler. What you pay for is what you get. Solid, top notch! Love the artwork!"

The prime rib looked like it had been microwaved. The meat while good had a tough texture and was gray looking probably from the microwave. I think the kitchen must have been rushing."

  • "My family and I have recently moved to the area and wanted a really good steak restaurant to celebrate during the Valentines Day weekend. We had a coupon for Black Angus and, though we didn't have any first hand reviews, we figured that we'd give it a whirl. We went early (about 4:30pm) since we have to children (ages 9 and 12). The kids loved the cowboy motif and I kind of enjoyed it as well. We all LOVED the appetizer cheesy garlic bread so things we off to a pretty good start. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was pretty lackluster. My wife and I, as well as our 12 year old, got steaks (ribeyes and a top sirloin). I would have expected about the same at a Quincy's or Golden Corral. Service was courteous but slow/inattentive."

  • "Our server (as many I find lately) acted like she was doing us a favor. She obviously isn't serving tables because takes pride in her work. She appeared to be just going through the paces. I clearly heard her sigh as she stepped up to one table to take their order. Maybe I live in a fantasy world but I like to imagine that when I go to a supposedly nice restaurant that the employees would go out of their way to make me feel welcome and to make sure I have the best dining experience possible so that I will leave them a nice tip, return again and to recommend them to my friends, family and co-workers. Also, I found it odd that my beer in the was $4.50 but in the dining room was $5.25."

  • "We had dinner here with another couple. The service was great (our server was Alexandra)! For appetizers we had the Sampler Platter & the steak quesadilla; both were pretty darn good. Salads were somewhat disappointing. We had 1 ceasar which was really light on the dressing. My wife & I each had the garden salad; mine was pretty skimpy & the dressing was applied haphazardly. For the main course, we had 1 Prime Rib (8 oz), 2 NY (12 oz) & 1 Sirloin (8 oz). I had the sirloin & it was delicious -- very thick & flavorful, looked more like a filet. The other dishes were cooked properly (rare) but were lacking in flavor. From past visits, the salmon is usually very good here. Tip: stick with the sirloin for steak or the salmon"

The baked halibut evening special was outstanding. I have never been disappointed when dining at the Black Angus Steakhouse in Vancouver, WA. Our server, Rhonda, did an outstanding job!"
