Staff was friendly but they were obviously busy or understaffed as it took a long time (10-15 minutes) before someone even came to take our initial drink order. And even after we got our drinks, we had to flag someone down to ask for our waitress to come take our order. Once the orders were in, the drinks and food did arrive at a reasonable pace. We stayed for a long leisurely dinner and we did not feel rushed. I really enjoyed the beet & goat cheese salad, as well as the recommended wine selection, but other than that, our meal was unremarkable. All in all, I had an enjoyable evening as the atmosphere had a good vibe. I am not from Santa Rosa, so I am not sure how this place compares to others in the area.

It was really fun and delicious sharing dishes at the bird and bottle. All the food was interesting with not every day ingredients and yet everything was super delicious. from the starters through dessert, including specialty cocktails we thoroughly enjoyed everything. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. He was the bomb.

The food was as delicious as the menu was intriguing. Portions were small by design, but just perfect to allow tasting of more entrees. There was leftover sauce from the asparagus that was so good, we asked for bread to use it up. While they don't serve bread, they whipped up a special, small serving that was a perfect complement to the sauce (it was flavored itself). We really enjoyed the duck tacos in particular. It feels like the space was an old home, very nicely redesigned to be comfortable yet contemporary. The "vintage" refrigerator near the open kitchen was a nice touch. Service was excellent and prompt. My only issue were the acoustics. We arrived early and were seated inside the front room which only had one other table occupied. One person at that table had such a loud voice, we had to move. Perhaps if there were softer surface to absorb the sound it would have been less offensive. Kudos to staff who promptly and kindly found us another location.

We were lucky to arrive before happy hour ended and enjoyed the discount on two small plates. All the food was great except the artichoke which was tough. The house wine was mediocre considering the wine country adjacent location. The non alcoholic drink, the Garnet, was fantastic. We wished the table for two was a bit larger since it's a share plate restaurant. However, the server did a phenomenal job of keeping us clear
