A word from Binkley's Kitchen & Bar
From 1928 until the early 70s, the corner of Kessler and College was home to Binkley's Drug Store, which served the booming Broad Ripple, Forest Hills and Meridian Kessler neighborhoods. Scores of youngsters got their first fountain drink, milkshake, banana split and, yes, cough medicine at Binkley's. Years later, many of those same youngsters stopped in to buy their first baby formula, fifth anniversary card and seventh pair of Foster Grants. Now Binkley's returns to serve these same neighbors as a restaurant, bar, and meeting place. As did our namesake, we plan to have something for everyone, offering a full menu of home made appetizers, salads, pizza, sandwiches and entrées, and a huge variety of drink options. We're dedicated to once again making this little corner of the world an important part of your social life. We hope you enjoy what we've done to reclaim this building.Continued

  • "Have dined at Binkley's many times. Eating here Sunday evening I experienced the same, Great service and good food. Restaurant was very busy, but noise level was good for talking without having to use a loud voice."

  • "Brinkley's is always a favorite choice. The food is excellent and offers a wide variety, the wine and beer list is extensive, and the service is always great. I love that Binkley's takes reservations and also is great about accommodating large parties."

  • "We had brunch and the food was great. All American breakfast is great."

  • "I made sure to plan ahead and make reservations for a Saturday night. Our table was in the back banquet room all the way in the corner. Unfortunately there was a large, loud group near us and it was hard to hear. The food is usually pretty darn good but this must have been an off night as two of the people in our party ordered the ribeye that was on special. Both requested their meat to be cooked medium and medium rare. When the food came, they felt they were cooked too much. The drink selection is very good- a wide variety of local beers, cocktails and wine. We ordered the truffle fries to share and those were fantastic. I have been before and would go again, as I live in the neighborhood. Hopefully next time will be a better experience."

  • "My fiancé & I love Binkley's. The atmosphere is intimate and great for date nights, but we've also been here with large groups for birthdays and rehearsal dinners (ask about their private rooms). I'd highly recommend checking it out if you haven't!"

  • "Excellent place to grab whatever you need from pub food to full dinners b/4 the game. Need to use Open Table because this place gets packed quickly. 2nd time this young man served our table. Every need met. Thanks!!"

  • "I have eaten here several times. The food is always good as is the service. The noise level can be loud as it was on this evening."

  • "Binkley's is a solid dining establishment. Most of their menu offerings are done well. Some aren't. For example, the salads are generally quick good and sandwiches are above average. Some of the main entrees are more of a hit and miss. The NY Strip was quite subpar during our last visit. It was very fatty and disappointingly poor in quality. The special mushroom ravioli was disappointing too. Value is OK for the ambiance. Try it but don't expect top end entrees does excellent!"

  • "A great pre-game spot before the Butler Bulldog home games...good food and great servers who are aware that you're off to the game, so everything moves fast. Great spot."

  • "We fequent Binkley's whenever we have occassion to be on that sde of town.On this particular visit I wrote down the wrong time for our reservation and we arrived a half hour ealy. The hostess was very accommodating and was able to seat us anyway. One of our favorite menu items is the supreme pizza, which we ordered on ths visit. This time the pizza was good, but lacked the quantity of toppings that we've had in the past. I ordered a cup of coffee to warm up. When the coffee came it was just luke warm. I didn't bother our server because by this time the restaurant was very busy (home Butler basketball game) Hopefully, our next visit will result in a better experience."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner recently at Binkley's but I have to say the table next to the faux fireplace was just so-so. I had to keep my coat on for the entire dinner to stay warm. I asked to have the temperature raised but it never got warm. Three of the four meals were excellent and I would try it again but ask for a different seat."

  • "This restaurant is a great place to meet before or after Butler basketball games."

  • "This is a popular, independent restaurant that does most everything well. It's a perfect spot on a chilly winter's evening (and there have been plenty of those) with its two fireplaces adding to the ambiance. The menu is complete from sandwiches to fairly unique entrees, and everything in-between. The server for our table of four was Damien, who had everything timed just right. The room can get a little noisy at times, but not overbearing. Binkley's is a neighborhood favorite, and just far enough away from the Broad Ripple traffic and congestion. There's even a big parking lot right behind. Worth a try for sure."

  • "WE had reservations for the restaurant area on New Years Eve at 4:45. When we got there we decided to sit at a table in the bar area as it was much more vibrant and happening. Was able to watch the games and have great New Years Eve dinner. It was very good!!"

  • "As a casual, locally owned place for food that is above-average for what it is, in pleasant surroundings at a reasonable price, Binkleys consistently fills the bill."

  • "Food was great. Service was, too. A nice, low key NYE dinner."
    Dined on 12/31/2013
  • "The food was delicious and the bar/restaurant had a very comfortable atmosphere! The drinks were well made and delicious as well. The service could have been a little better. The food came out quickly but the server seemed to forget anything we had asked for. Overall, I would go back!"

  • "I made a reservation for our party of 8 to dine at Binkleys on New Years Eve following the Butler men's basketball game. The whole experience could not have been better. Despite the game going into overtime, Binkleys held our reservation, and we enjoyed the evening with our friends, the food was fabulous, the service was tops, and the festive atmosphere was the perfect way to bring in the New Year. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!"

  • "Always have a wonderful time here. Invited several friends to join us and we all had a great time. Our waitperson, Josh(ua), was wonderful: very bright and friendly. Made some recommendations and every one of them was perfect. Stayed a long, long time, and never felt rushed..."

  • "We love Binkley's. Food great and varied in choices. Staff friendly and fun."

  • "This is the second time I've been to Binklely's, both times for a group lunch. Each time the staff has had our table set up before we got there and able to seat us right away. The wait staff has been excellent each time, no errors in what was ordered, which sadly happens other places all too often. The ambience of the restaurant is what I would call upscale casual - comfortable, nicely decorated, appropriate for business meal or romantic evening with someone special."

  • "We went to Binkley's for the third time after a Butler basketball game. We were able to sit by the fire which made the dining the experience. I had a micro-brew, chili, and a salad which were a perfect post-game meal. My husband splurged and had the fish and chips which I had the opportunity of trying later that weekend as left-overs. The staff was very warm and accommodating. We will definitely be back."

  • "Great brunch at a great price! The French toast was a little crispier than I personally prefer, but was delicious still the same."
    Dined on 12/8/2013
  • "Our party of 5 really enjoyed our dinners at Brinkley's! The spinach dip is the best in town, but we were disappointed in the small number of chips that accompanied the dip. We requested extra chips and were disappointed to find we were charged extra for them when we received our bill."
    Dined on 12/6/2013
  • "Wine list is much improved. Great place for informal meeting."
    Dined on 12/2/2013
  • "We were a group of eight and the noise level was much too high. Could the restaurant do something to make the place quieter? It is not a good place of a group larger than 4 people."
    Dined on 11/22/2013
  • "The menu is varied with lots of options but the cook staff just doesn't deliver. I had the NY strip for $18 and it was thin and tough. Others had chicken dishes that missed the mark and whatever you do, don't order it "blackened" because the kitchen interprets that as "ruined". If you must eat there, stick with burgers which are decent though like everything else, never above average."
    Dined on 11/22/2013
  • "Brinkley's is a great place to eat before Butler games. Although we've never had a bad meal here, the pizza is our favorite! Lots of fresh ingredients with then crust cooked just right!"
