I'm not a dance music lover and this place had more of a bar scene vibe than a restaurant feeling. It just wasn't a great fit for our plans, but might suit others just fine."

  • "My boyfriend and I are pizza connoisseurs. We have been to lots of gourmet pizza places in and out of the city and BEVO is now at the top of our list. He has a pizza with prosciutto and I had the Bosco in Bianco (mushroom and truffle pizza). Delicious! I highly recommend going, especially if pizza is your jam. The appetizers were very good too! We loved the meatballs!"

  • "Been to Bevo quite few times, I have never been disappointed. This time around we shared the butcher's platter, very good, great with a glass of wine. I also had their mixed mushroom pizza, yum, excellent, tasty, not soggy at all. They accommodated my friend who is celiac, she had risotto with asparagus, cooked to perfection. All in all very inexpensive with great food. It gets a little louder by the end of the evening but you can still here each other talk."

  • "I ordered the smoked salmon pizza. It was good, except for the fact that there are less pieces of smoked salmon than slices of pizza. The pieces of smoked salmon were so small and so little. All the smoked salmon could have fit onto 1 slice of pizza. Very expensive for so little food."

  • "Our table for 4 was upstairs right next to 3 large party groups, disappointing and making it hard to hear any conversation. Our reservation was for 9pm and at 11pm we were happy to be upstairs since the music in the restaurant was pumped up to club level making it even worse to hear anything than the groups we had been seated next to. We ordered pizza and pasta -- the vegetarian pizza was very good except that the vegetables seemed to be dispersed on only one side of the pizza instead of evenly; the carbonara was lacking in creaminess, tasting more of fatty oil than anything else; the rose sauce with mushrooms pasta was very good. Not overall impressed to go back."

  • "To start out with, I should mention we were there during the Happening Gourmand event, and as such were eating from the specially curated set menu. Our waitress did a great job selling the whole table on their Old-Fashioned—it wasn't life-changing, so I'd be a bit worried if it was the best thing on the drinks menu. The starters (antipasti and battered shrimp) were rather tasty, and the pizza (an olive-tomato type thin crust affair) went down well, especially with the addition of prosciutto (+$5). I can't remember the dessert, so I won't comment on it (although as someone with a sweet tooth, that says something). All in all, a solid, if not phenomenal, dining experience. I'd need to go back and try the full menu to be sure."

Nice selection of wines to go along with the excellent thin crust pizza. We finished the evening with cappuccinos and liquors which our server suggested we combine into a foamy liquor cappuccino. It was excellent. Great Sunday evening."

  • "Decided to give this place a try when we wanted to go out for drinks on Thursday night but didn't feel like having the usual mini burgers or onion rings. Food that has become all too familiar in establishments with a decent bar scene. BEVO was just what we were looking for, the drinks were strong and well priced for the Old Port. The service was fantastic, server was attentive and friendly but not overwhelmingly present. The food was great! We both had pizzas so I can't speak for the rest of the menu but when it comes to thin crust deliciousness, BEVO knows what they are doing."

The food is really good (pizza caprese and antipasti) for the price (didn't finish my pizza so I doggy bagged it), the location is amazing, nice decor and nice bar, good vibe and very energetic crowd.   • "BEVO has a great atmosphere. Was here New Year's Eve with a small group for dinner and drinks. When walking in the bar area looked very cool, but we were seated upstairs where it was quieter and perfect for a group. The service was great, prompt and friendly without being too noticeable. The drinks were interesting and reasonably priced, had a bottle of wine that was very tasty too. Supposedly some of the best pizza in Montreal...it was good but not hot and we found the one pasta dish ordered to be the best. Would come again and order pasta!"

I ordered the mushroom pizza. I knew it was a white pizza and I also know that mushrooms do not have much flavour on their own, but this was absolutely bland! The service was very good. We found this restaurant to be just as good as any top italian restaurant in Italy, New York or here at home in Vancouver .The meatballs, Arancini, pizza, wine list and Nutella pizza were excellent.   • "My boyfriend and I had dinner plans for last Saturday and he told me that I could select the restaurant since he's not from Montreal. I read a few reviews online of Bevo and I decided that it seemed like a good fit for the evening. I was a bit nervous in regards to going to a restaurant I had never heard of or seen before, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I order the mushroom and prosciutto pasta and my boyfriend got the veal poutine. Both are plates came fairly quickly and they were very good. My pasta dish was a big portion for me considering I do not eat that much, but my boyfriend was a bit disappointed by the size of his dish. The ambiance was very nice and the noise level was fine. It was a great find!!"

The place is big and housed in a old stone building with all it's charm. Different areas of the restaurant provide for different ambience; there is the bar scene area, sports scene area, family and group area with a view of the pizzamakers. Great place for everyone..Service is great too..It's a can't miss."

  • "We came from Toronto to see Old Montreal. We ordered two pizzas and they came out so burnt they were black to a crisp on both the entire top and bottom! We returned them (which made us wonder why they were ever served to us) and the two new ones we received were completely black on the bottom. The ingredients were of porr quality. We will never return to this restaurant and will never suggest any one to eat there."

We were able to converse easily and had a delicious meal too! As the parents of small children, we don't get to dine out with other adults often so when we do, we want it to be great. BEVO didn't disappoint. I'd like to go back and try something else off the menu!"

  • "DEFINITELY be going back. The service was amazing. Our waiter John O (?) was very warm and friendly. The ambience is very nice. It's a beautiful restaurant with a very easy going vibe. The food is just DELICIOUS. We had the Porchetta and the Red Snapper along with the Bevo Platter at the beginning of the meal. After that platter we didn't know how we would find room to eat our actual meals (the small was large enough). However, as soon as you saw and smelled the food in front of you, you just couldn't resist it. Overall, a great find and we can't wait to go back to try other menu items!"

  • "I expected just a pizzeria; instead, we were received in a beautiful, well-decorated atmosphere with good music, at just the right volume. The waitress was polite and she was always quick to refill our wine, or take our order. The food was amazing. We al had pizzas, and they were warm, with thin crispy crusts but an almost guey, cheesy dough in the middle. The wood burning ovens really make a difference!"
