  • "We went for lunch but for some reason it seemed like it took a little longer than usual to get started. The one cook did the table next to us and then came back to do ours so they must have been short. The table was not sit up so someone had to bring hiom mopre bowls for sauce, and for rice. Still the food was good, the cook had his funny jokes, and we enjoyed teh people at our table."

  • "I went for lunch on Sat on Father's day weekend. I knew from looking at the menu on their website that lunch prices were 1/2 of the dinner prices, but they handed us Father's Day menus which were same prices as dinner. When I asked about the lunch prices that I saw on the website, then they gave me that lunch menu. But you had to ask. Was disappointed with that."

  • "My Family and I (8 adults and 2 kids) enjoyed the Hibachi style dining experience. My guest were an hour late, but the restaurant was able to accommodate us and honor my reservation. The waitress was cooperative and took many birthday pictures upon my request. The chef was bilingual and carried conversation in Spanish and English, which made my parents feel comfortable. Also, the restaurant stayed open half an hour after normal closing hours and didn't made us feel rushed to finish our diner. Overall an enjoyable experience; I will definitely return to this restaurant."

  • "had 7pm reservations for my daughters 17th birthday, we were told that we could not seated until the entire party had arrived. We were all there and waited an additional 20 minutes. we did not get seated until 7:45 pm at the very back of the restaurant, literally next to the emergency exit door. The table host and chef were great. The table host in training gave me the wrong wine 3 times before someone intervened and correctly brought my Moscato."

  • "I first experienced this place 12 years ago. Now I know why I never went back....HoRrible! I seriously, just forgot. It really is fun to watch them cook the food in front of you BUT why does it taste like $H^+. Nothing was seasoned and it was so bland. I read mixed reviews when I booked but thought I will still give them a chance....I really was more excited about the show. Oh well. Good Luck if you decide to go. "

  • "I had a good experience here because the waiters and our chef were very polite and accommodating. However, the hostess was very rude to us! We had a reservation and 3 of the four diners arrived on time. One person was ten minutes late because of a traffic accident on the freeway. We walked in and greeted the hostess. She proceeeded to say that we would not be seated because our party had not arrived yet. I explained about the accident and asked that we just be seated. We were planning to just order some sushi and wait until the last person arrived before we ordered our entrees. The hostess reacted very rudely and would not let us be seated, even though we were going to wait to order. She really acted like she didn't want our business. "

  • "Of course the food is going to be amazing. It was mother's day so it was packed. They sat us about 15 minutes later than our reservations, but that seems to be respective for holiday standards. My wife and I love eating here."

  • "This was over crowded. No place to sit and wait. An hour wait on reservations. We almost left because the hostest said we had nine reservations before ours. Five minuets after she told me that while we were walking out the door they call our name. So she obviously didn't know what she was talking about. They had all tables going and it was so smoky you could hardly breath without coughing. "

  • "We've dined at Benihana for over 20yrs in California, our first time in Benihana was a great experience… until the end of the meal. Our chef 'Chin' was amazing, food was exactly what we expected, all the flavors were there. The big let down was we were not offered green tea or/and ice cream. We were really looking forward to finishing our meal with green tea ice cream, and we would've gladly paid for it. The bottom line is we felt we were rushed to leave."

  • "Beware that your entire party must be presented before they will seat anyone. They ask you to stand in their cramped ugly bar area until everyone shows up, which is ridiculous. They could seat you and just not start the food prep until everyone has arrived. I was there with a baby in a stroller and a grandma using a walker, so this was a big deal. The hostess apologized for the inconvenience and the manager was totally unsympathetic. Also their dining room needs much better ventilation. We walked in and it was like facing the smog of a 1970's airport. Still, the show was a lot of fun as usual and the food was fresh and tasty."

You'll need to sit in the bar area to avoid the loudness. I had the chicken, shrimp with brown rice, side of scallops and a Mai Tai; it cost me under $57 which I found to be a little steep."

  • "The food was great, the staff was nice but no one validated our parking or even mentioned anything even though we were there for over 2 hours. After spending over $100 we each had to pay $15 upon leaving the garage that is connected to Benihanna. The parking staff was rude but I don't blame the restaurant. It's common courtesy to remind or ask customers or clients about validating when you know it's an option. A disappointing end to an otherwise good night out with friends."

Its something the family enjoys. From the chef, food, drinks, menu, seating, staff, everything.. it was so great! I definitely would recommend this idea/place to someone who deserves a great time."

  • "My fiancée always wanted to dine here, and it was a wonderful surprise for her. She loves Japanese food and visited several restaurants, but never Benihana. The food and service were very good. The shrimp were juicy and tender. The chicken was also tender and seasoned to perfection. The servers(staff) made recommendations on the food and spices, which was excellent with the meats. We also enjoyed the drinks with our meal. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back."

  • "It's Benihana... We know what to expect. Fun to drink Mai Tais in the goofy glasses that you can take home. The more Mai Tais you drink, the better the food tastes. Still couldn't help wondering why I was there but I am sure I'll wind up going back again sometime in the next decade."
