Belford's SavannahService was amazing!Lucas was our server and was by far the best we had our entire trip. My wife and I visited several bars and ate at almost every recommended restaurant in town and Lucas blew everyone out of the water! He went above and beyond what we required and did so with a smile on his face. Food was perfect and complementary champagne at brunch was awesome. There was no air conditioning so we opted for outside as it seemed cooler than inside with the open kitchen. It was loud outside so not exactly a romantic nightic experience. The food was good. The bread was soaked in olive oil though which was disappointing. My eggplant dish wasn't cooked completely so it was tough to eat. Wouldn't order it again. However, my husband loved the crab cakes. The food has always been amazing even thou the ambiance is quite loud. This year the food was not nearly as up to par, not sure if they got a new chef or what but it was definitely not as good. Not awful by any means so we will give it a try next year to see if it's gotten better. I used to just love their fried green tomatoes they were light and airy with a nice spicy aioli but this time they were too thickly sliced, batter was very heavy and only a couple drops of the aioli. Both loved the outdoor dining expeirence and the people-watching in City Market as well as the fresh and healthy food. The service staff is skilled, attentive and our server on Saturday lunch had a fantastic and engaging (yet appropriate) sense of humor and fun personality. The drawback here is eating inside ... the blowers from the kitchen pump fried-food smells all throughout the space and you leave smelling like a short-order cook ... yuck. I dont' like to eat inside because of this but the inside is a lovely space. Our server Leslie was great even with my fussy family and she met all of our needs. She knew the specials and had great recommendations. For entrees we had beggies, the raviloi, burgers, steaks and the shrimp, all were very much enjoyed by everyone! We arrived about an hour ahead of our reservation and they were very welcoming and able to seat us promptly.
