This is our go-to Thai spot in Langley. Unassuming from the outside, but the food is delicious. We've done take out and dine in. I've noticed it's getting busier ( noisier) inside. I guess everyone is discovering out secret spot! I'd recommend a reservation for a group.

I went with my family. Took 20 mins to be looked after for order. That's with me waving at the waitress. No follow up how food was. Asked for more water and rice. Had to wave again to get service. Run out of food, had to order more and no waitress came. I stood up and went to the front to order more food. 20 more mins., nothing came, not even a bowl of rice i ordered which should be quick. So i stood up again and asked what happened to order? Finally i spoke with a different waitress and complained. She said thats the reason she was hired to improve service and only working on it for a month. Food is good but service is lacking. Got a free appetizer in return. I am willing to pay for good food and service and free stuff I dont care.

  • Reservation Mix-up

When we arrived on time for our reservation, and I gave them my name and that I had booked through OpenTable, they realized that they had already seated a party that either used my name (the reservations where hand-written on paper easy enough for anyone to see), or they misheard the other party's name. When they realized the mistake, they hurriedly got another table ready for us. With that being said, the food as always was tasty. We just wanted something light, so we ordered the appetizer platter and the broccoli stem and prawn salad. We had to ask for plates and cutlery after the food arrived. So service was a little less than attentive, but I think that it was due to their embarrassment about the reservation mixup.

We used to go to this restaurant at its old location, so this was our first visit at the new spot. We were greeted and promptly seated at a reserved table. At first glance it seemed like a nice little alcove, but we eventually realized it was right where people come in and are greeted by the host. RIGHT THERE. This was our anniversary, so it was not an ideal location for a romantic dinner. The servers were quick and attentive, however, and the food arrived very fast. We had both ordered curries. Both meals tasted delicious, but the whole experience was over in less than half an hour. They serves a large crowd at lunch - that's what this felt like. For quick, tasty food, go here. For a romantic dinner, go somewhere else.

Went on a quiet Tuesday night. Maybe 50% capacity. Took a very long time to even get our drink order taken. Our two meals came 10 minutes apart. My order was placed on the table without explanation of the three dipping sauces that were for the chips. I will not recommend or return to this restaurant.

I've lived in Langley forever and never knew about this restaurant until the chef was featured on Global TV. I checked it out and definitely if you are in the mood for Thai food this is THE place to go. Their 5 spice fish was very good as well as the Pad Thai. I would go again to try some different dishes in the future.

The food was fine. Overall we liked our dishes, however nothing special but the usual Thai dishes. 2 of the 4 dishes we ordered had pretty small portions. The place is super small and crowded. I went to the washroom, and when I came back, the waitress blocked my way. Instead of letting me pass first, the waitress simply kept talking and blocking my way. I had to stand and wait for more than a minute before I could get back to my seat. That was really unprofessional. There was virtually no service. Once the dishes were on our table, the waitress disappeared entirely. We waited long time after we finished our dishes, but nobody showed up. My wife walked to the reception to ask for the bill. I do not think I will repeat any time soon.

Ban Chok Dee was recommended by a co-worker when I asked about Thai food in Langley. It certainly didn't disappoint. The restaurant was clean and well adorned. The menu had plenty to choose from. The staff was quick, polite and attentive. Best of all the food was excellent. I too will join in recommending this restaurant for those looking for Thai in Langley.

We were there on a Saturday evening with friends and our children for a little get-together, 9 of us in total. Despite a reservation, we did have to wait about 15-20 min. before our table was ready. Apparently, they were busy serving another big group of about 15 people who were already there. However, anything turned out well, including the service. Didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive and the waiter came back a few times to check on us during our meal. The adults normally prefer the food to be spicier, but because of the kids, we had all our dishes non-spicy. However, the food was tasty and everyone enjoyed it, including the children. All and all, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

For me Langley isn't really know for great restaurants. Looking past all the big box restaurants are something of the norm here in suburbia. Having said that I discover this restaurant last weekend and have to admit that my experience was excellent! The good was first class, bursting with authentic flavours and presented in a very modern way. The menu was excellent and so were the vegitarian choice! A first class meal and something to make langley proud!

This was the third time I have been there. It has not disappointed. The first time was with our staff Christmas party with a group of about 12. It was a bit tight with a group that size and we all sat at one long table. This time I recommended it for our curling wrap up dinner for a group of 6. It was a good place for that size. It was a good thing that I made the reservation as all the tables were full most of the time we were there. The comment from our friends was that they have now found a new favourite local Thai place and will certainly be back to Ban Chok Dee Thai.

My girlfriend and I had went there based on her past experiences, I had never been there. She ordered the green curry, I the yellow curry. When the food arrived she immediately commented that it looked different than before. Different colour and texture and not as flavourful than the dishes she previously have ate there. Later,it aggravated her somewhat sensitive stomach as well. So from her perspective it was a bit disappointing. My dish was quite tasty and spicy - as I like it spicy, however, there was very little chicken in the dish.

This little gem is located in a corner of Langley, B.C., and is worth looking for. I have visited a few times with different friends, and we always have delicious food, and a good time. The servers are wonderful, attentive , helpful and friendly. The ambience is always important to me, second to the food and this little place is lovely. Lots of seating, some private areas and very nicely decorated. Oh and with all of the great delights to the senses.....the price is reasonable! Highly recommend, though I am afraid it will get too popular! I usually have the house pad thai, with sweet and perfectly cooked prawns, and it is so good that I haven't tried much else, but friends that have, have enjoyed their food thoroughly.

We have really enjoy dining here a few times but this time was not so great. The service was very poor. The food came and we were left alone. Our server didn't even make eye contact for more rice for about 20 minutes so we grabbed another on her way by. The Tamarind Batons were dry and hard to chew. It was a disappointing part of our celebration.

Have lived in Langley for many years, and have heard this to be a Thai restaurant worth trying. Needless to say, while the ambiance was great, the service was piecemeal and to charge for rice with a coconut curry dish seemed nickelling and dime-ing the customer for something that is an expected part of the meal in other locations. 6 of us ate minimal to moderate amount with zero alcohol at the table for $120. I was sorely disappointed and will continue the quest for a Fraser Valley Thai restaurant which will give the same experience we're used to in Vancouver.

Every dish I've had here has been excellent, arrived quickly at the table and always priced very reasonably. Last time we went, we had the ginger cashew tofu and the pad thai, both were delicious! I've had a lot of pad thai both in north america and in thailand, and theirs is one of my favourites, a bit on the sweeter side if you like that.

I reserved Ban Chok Dee Thai Cuisine for my birthday through open table. We were a group of 16 ppl. They were very accomodating. Gave us our own section where it was just our group of ppl. And they let us move the tables around to suite our preference. Our server was excellent. He was so nice to all of us considering our big group and catered to everything we asked for. He was simply execellent. We loved our experience there. The food was really good and the price was surprisingly less than we had expected for the amount of food that we ordered.
