  • "Went for Easter Brunch, and was impressed from the moment we drove in.... From the valet parking to the entire staff guiding us to the restaurant, it was very pleasurable. The food was perfect, and served hot & promptly. Wait staff was outstanding as well. Highly recommend!!!!"

  • "Arrived on time at our reservation; booked special because my parents came in from out of town. We were then told by a server that the hostess was on break; we stood at the hostess desk for thirty minutes, we asked the server to get the manager, the manager said sorry my hostess is on break, she would get a table ready - she made us wait, while she bussed a table; Earlier, the manager saw us standing at the hostess desk and did nothing. There were other open tables - the manager could have seated us and taken our drink order. We were not seated for thirty minutes with a reservation. Sad part is that the food was good - but with such a poorly run restaurant, who would want to eat there. I would not recommend anyone go there Thanks."

(even though we had already ordered wine). Seem more interested in rushing us through, turning the table and sell extra stuff to jack up her tip. very unimpressive service."

  • "After reviewing the reservation-only Sunday Jazz Brunch, I thought it appropriate to enjoy our 3rd anniv. at Azurea. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait for our table, seated 20 minutes after our reservation. No one approached us after being seated. We eventually were seen and served mimosas, but never seen again by what I thought was our server. After another server came 15 mins later, she asked if we had our order taken, "no." We requested coffee, recieved it late and no condiments, and had to get our own from another table. Ambiance was very noisy, and an advertised "jazz" brunch was never heard. It is very embarrassing when your date complains, especially for an anniversary. Was hoping for more out of "fine" dining and jazz."

  • "This place is awesome. When you pull up, they have free valet (always of should always tip). The staff was very courteous. The restaurant itself is super elegant, right on the beach. It definitely comes off as a 5 star restaurant and you will think so as well. The servers are so nice and explain the menus. Food and drinks came out in a timely Manor and tasted delicious. Pricing is high but that is expected for a place of this class. Will definitely return."

  • "One Ocean is a popular spot for my group's monthly b'day celebrations. As usual my friends enjoyed their food. I can not recommend what I had this time- the lobster sliders. The bread was very dense for such a treat. I would have liked more lump style lobster as well. All others enjoyed their lunch and I know we will be back."

  • "This was the fourth time we have eaten here in the past three months. We were celebrating my wife's birthday. We had cocktails in the bar area overlooking the ocean, good drinks and very good service. We then went into eat and were served again by Shawn, who was being supported by Johnny, and as usual, the service was outstanding. I had the rack of lamb and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the sea bass and she loved it. We shared a ahi tuna appetizer and a delicious pear cranberry desert. This place continues to amaze us. We are looking forward to our next trip and sharing this place with friends. Do yourself a favor and try Azurea!"

I told them when we arrived and they made our night wonderful, great waiter/wine steward, incredible view, and food to die for. Honestly the best Swordfish ever! Maybe the best meal I've ever had and we travel a lot! Bravo, we will be back!"

  • "Ate here 20-some years ago when it was the Sea Turtle, great memories so looked for it. Found it had become One Ocean so went there for lunch. So impressed with food and service we came back for dinner and were even more impressed. The servers were wonderful, the food and wine were fantastic and the experience was fun. Could not say enough about the wait staff, they made it a fun evening and we would go back again in a heart-beat. Loved it! Thank you One Ocean!!!"

  • "Reservations made through Open Table for the Sunday after Valentine's Day. When we arrived the dining room appeared 85% vacant. We stood at the counter for over 10 minutes waiting for a hostess to seat us. Bad first impression.The waitress was very busy, but knew the menu well and made lovely recommendations. She repeatedly thanked us for coming in that night, which was odd. It felt like she was trying too hard. The wine list was huge. Unfortunately, the cozy booth we were seated in, was uncomfortable. The seats were cheap and my husband and I could not wait to get up once dinner was over. The seats look nice from afar, but were far from good. Unfortunate. It was a tad pricey for what it was, but the food and the servings were decent."

  • "My wife and I dined later (after 9 om) on Valentine's Day -- and food, service, drinks were all great. This was our second visit to Azurea, and we'll definitely be dining there again. Staff was very attentive, and helpful, with menu and recommendations. Our server was also a sommelier, and made some great wine pairings with the food we ordered. Only issue-- I found the portion of the main dish to be on the small size. The fish I ordered could not have been more than 3-4 ounces total weight. Fortunately, the dish had other ingredients in it besides the fish, but the fish is the main component of the mixed grill. My wife loved her seabass - and it seemed like a generous portion."

  • "I found this restaurant at the spur of the moment and what convinced me to choose this place were the consecutive, positive reviews on both the location, service and FOOD! I'm very picky and I HATE spending money on sub-par service and food! Well this meal was for Valentine's Day and I found it tucked inside One Ocean...a very nice hotel in itself by the beach (or I think it's by the beach...couldn't really see the beach from the outside at night). The lighting and interior design is VERY modern, chic and stylish! Enough to wow anyone! And the service is top-notch! And the food....Executive Chef Ted Peters really did his job! I couldn't be happier. The price tag is steep...but it's a fine dining restaurant so it's worth every penny!"

  • "Wow, what an great experience. We were greeted at the door of the Hotel and escorted to the restaurant. We were seated, and from that point on addressed by our names by all staff. The presentation of the food was beautiful and everything was prepared perfectly. The entire experience was outstanding and this restaurant rivals the best in Jacksonville. I'm just trying to figure out why I haven't been here before or why I didn't know about this place? You need to go, you won't be disappointed!"

  • "For a 75th birthday, the setting was beautiful,the servers knew us by name and the occasion which made us all feel special, and the food was excellent and presented in such a way that looked special. Everyone of our party of ten liked their various entrees and wine. We chose many sides to pass and were pleased with them all - especially the squash. Our server voluntarily brought a very large slice of birthday cake to share that was also delicious. Though I was pleasantly surprised when our waiter brought the check, it is a place to eat when you are not worried about "budget." I would recommend highly recommend this restaurant. You will come away feeling like it has been a very special occasion."

  • "Azurea has an impressive, unexpected entry into the restaurant. Once inside, the friendly staff will greet you to take you to your table. This is a perfect restaurant for a special occasion . The food was especially good with a great presentation. It was nice to get a very pleasant experience from start to finish. They didn't fall short on any aspect. I've also been here for cocktail hour and the bar is really hopping, especially when it's nice outside, and you have a chance to their outside space overlooking the ocean."

  • "The food was excellent. The service was spot on. We go to a lot of nice places so I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. They had a starter- complements of the chef, with clams and a Champaign vinaigrette, which only made us anxious to eat. It was so good! Then after our dinner we received little chocolates the chef made, they too were wonderful. If you are considering the price it is easily $100 for a couple of drinks and your entrée. If I compare the menu price to other restaurants in the same price range, I think you are getting a great opportunity to eat like your in Vegas or NYC. I was very surprised. It's like a local secret."

The entrée with the lobster sauce had a shell in it that almost broke my tooth and it just overall seemed to be an adequate experience while they act as if they are providing excellence.   • "We celebrated my move from frigid Marblehead MA to Florida; this is the perfect place for a celebration. The dining room is lovely; great ocean views and designer decor. Service was attentive yet friendly; we were made to feel at home. Dinners were beautifully presented, seasoned, and cooked. I have dined in many of Boston's finest restaurants and comparisons hold up well; and the prices here are inexpensive compared to them. Moving from Boston I feared there would not be truly foodie type restaurants; Azurea put those fears to rest with gusto!"

We finally left the restaurant after two hours and still hadn't received our final course. It was delivered to our rooms at the hotel an hour later. What else can one say - Oh and a 20% discount on our check - that covered the tip for the slow service - WOW"
