  • "Haughty reception, nice decor. Expected a great dining experience but ended up only fair. The menu is short. Not a lot of specials either. The food was disappointing. The artichokes tasted like they were right out of the can. The mozzarella was watery and loose. In fact I was able to spread it on the tomatoes and a piece of bread. My rib eye was over cooked and served over a bed of blackened overcooked potatoes, olives and capers. The snapper was just bland. After the table was cleared, without a word the server slapped two desert menus on the table. After looking it over, we opted for the check."

Dining as a single usually means being ignored by waiters and long waits. At Azur the pace matched my dining progress perfectly. Other I met at the guest house had similar experiences. I highly recommend Azur and will visit it next year."

  • "Enjoyed this Mediterrean-inspired spot well off the beaten path in a residential neighborhood in Key West. Charred octopus salad was a real standout. Nice selection of gnocchi and terrific selection of "tasting plates" and appetizers. The former were truly tiny portions for a low price. Appetizers were large enough to share and delicious. I especially enjoyed the artichoke app. We went with a large table of 10 and had to wait about 15 minutes for the table. Otherwise, service was good considering the large size. Overall, we recommend trying Azur if you want something a little different out of the hustle and bustle of Duval St."

  • "My husband and I read about Azur in the Philadelphia Inquirer travel section a little while back. As stated in the article we had a wonderful meal and were not disappointed. The food from appetizer to dessert was outstanding. The menu was diverse and we would have enjoyed many of the dishes. The wait staff was also attentive. We dined alfresco and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will recommend Azur to any of our family or friends traveling to Key West."

  • "Highly recommend this one. Fantastic menu which also includes a variety of small plates. We tried the osso bucco and rib-eye steak entees from the menu and the tile fish special. Everything was cooked to perfection. The flourless chocolate cake and espresso panacotta were divine. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Glad we tried it. This will be a must for future Key West visits."

  • "When I go out to eat! I want to eat something that is perfectly delicious, fresh, and special...not something I can do easily or as well at home. At Azur I had the eggplant chips with fleur de sel and rosemary honey...to DIE for, so thin, so crispy and light! with a salty sweet crunch???stunning. Then I had the octopus salad, which was equally delicious. Clean, bright flavors, perfect texture, beautiful presentation. Located in a sweet Key West neighborhood, our outdoor table was ok but not great, but the food more than compensated. My only regret is that I cannot go back soon enough to try other dishes!"

  • "Comfortable atmosphere with the choice of inside or outside dining. Interesting menu beyond typical choices. Easy to combine appetizer, small plate and entree items to create a tasting experience for our group of three. Lighting subdued yet bright enough to read the menu. Our table was in the main isle way so it was noisier than it would be seated elsewhere. The waiter spoke so lowly it was difficult to hear him and came across as more aloof than friendly."

  • "Food was very good however we were asked if we would love change tables to accommodate a regular customer w required our table stating that the one table that we were moved to was too close to an outdoors waterfall and hard to hear. We graciously moved to another table. When the doctor arrived with his party he proceeded to read something off of his phone. This was rude and obnoxious. Upon leavimg the restaurant we were thanked for graciously giving up a prim table. It would have been nice if we were acknowledged by the restaurant and the restaurant should do a better job of policing what patrons do that disturbs other patrons"

  • "When we got to Azur we checked in but were told to wait outside for 10 minutes- our table wasn't ready. We were asked if we would like a glass of wine, we said yes, but the wine never appeared. Finally we were seated and all through dinner it appeared that the wait staff was too busy to give us their full attention to our ordering and questions about the food and wine. Someone came over and asked if we were 'doing okay?" and left without introducing herself. The food was good, but not inexpensive and for the money there are other good places in Key West to try first. We jsut felft more of an inconvenience than welcome dining patrons."

  • "This was my second visit to Azur. This time we decided to try breakfast and it was amazing!!! We ate on the patio outside. Although there is no ocean view, the ambience is great. Very quiet and serene! A perfect gem off the beaten path. The food was incredible. I ordered the key lime pie stuffed French toast. The best French toast I've had in awhile. I was surprised to find to slices of pie in between the layers of toast. My husband had the breakfast cubano sandwich. It was huge!! Portions were great, price was very good, experience = 2 thumbs up."

  • "We visit Key West about once a year, and always eat at Azur at least once. We brought 2 friends. Our waiter was brusque and dismissive. For instance, we inquired why Tile Fish was so called, and he responded, "I don't know; google it ". When I asked for more bread he responded, "Yeah, somebody already asked me for that". He provided no useful information, (not even his name) clearly did not have a disposition for service."

  • "really a terrible experience! staff was rude, inattentive, and sarcastic from the moment we arrived. waiter never asked us for drink orders and then ignored us for 20 minutes before taking our dinner orders. there were 6 of us, so we got to try a variety of dishes. most were unremarkable, a few were downright horrible. the grilled branzino was overcooked and dry with no noticeable seasoning. the mussels did not taste fresh. the zuppe di pesce was watery and very thin on the "pesce": one clam, 2 mussels, 3 shrimp and not much else. key west has far too many really wonderful restaurants - both upscale and downscale - to ever waste one's time and (considerable) money here!"

Unfortunately, the dishes offered and overall quality was not up to expectation for a New Years Eve dining experience at the price level set for the occasion. We were expecting something really special especially after all the reviews we have read about Azur. Disappointed."

  • "The restaurant was pleasant. The staff was efficient and attentive. The prices reasonable (especially for Key West). The food was uniformly bland. We had small plates, appetizers, and almost entrees. All of them lacked any character. The artichokes for the salad might have been canned -- they were drowning in oil. The octopus salad was bland as was the fish entree. Not much to recommend if you are after something special."

  • "We took 3 friends to Azur for dinner.Tuna and beef carpaccio appetizer, Grouper special and Gnocchi entree's were delightful. Reasonably priced; much less than what the two of us spent at Antonia's New Years Eve for better food and wine. We've been to Azur before and really liked it. Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was wonderful, as usual. Staff, very good - Kim was exceptional! Fantastic atmosphere."

  • "Azur is consistently one of the best restaurants in town. Food is always spectacular and service is always both professional and friendly. For brunch, try the key lime pie stuffed French toast or the Azur Benedict with house cured salmon. For dinner, the gnocchi are outstanding as is every fish preparation (well, really all the food is terrific!) This trip we had family visiting on a cruise ship and they wanted to go "somewhere other tourists would not know about". Of course, they were thrilled with the choice!"
