"Wine list here is very unusual. We chose a wine from Croatia, which was very good. I had the most amazing soft shell crab. They grow them large in Louisiana. Fun neighborhood spot with great food."

"Maybe it was an off night, but we would think twice about going back. The wait staff seemed to be overwhelmed. Service was very slow. Between the music and the patrons it was so noisy you had to yell to be heard. Not a relaxing meal. The prime steak special was very good, but the pork was overcooked and dry and the quail dinner mediocre."

"The food was great all round. We were an ungainly group and were handled well; service was maintained throughout. We tried several things on the menu and passed them around and did not find a single dud. The freeform ravioli was suberb as were the daily specials. An extra side of their famous grits were devoured immediately."

"Food was great, service was thoughtful and attentive. Loved the fried green tomatoes w/crab; the gumbo; the grits; the spinach; the Pimm's Cup. Friend said the potato gnocchi was the best she's ever had. A little more nouvelle than traditional New Orleans. A real standout among the restaurants we visited this trip."

"Had a great early dinner with two babies present along with three adults. Owner/manager was super welcoming even with having the two babies and very accommodating. Very pleasant experience and the food was amazing!!! Wine great too!"

"This restaurant was a blind choice gone terribly right! Everything was wonderful from the atmosphere to the dessert. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. The waitstaff was very pleasant and took care of our requests swiftly and competently. The food and drinks were superb. I must say that I was very impressed by my entree. I ordered the pork chop (I'm notorious in my circle for not being a fan of pork) and it was absolutely delicious: savory, succulent, and the accompanying sides complemented its flavors and textures perfectly. Having dinner at Atchafalaya was definitely a treat."
