We sat outside. It was chilly in July and the tiny heaters were useless. We had drinks, salad and burger. Unfortunately, the salad and the burger came out at the same time, so had t either let the burger get cold or eat the salad later. The weekend brunch menu is very limited. Will have to try the weekday lunch another time. The servers were disengaged. The valet crew was pleasant and efficient.

The restaurant was not busy, and I requested a table with a view of the Bay, the young hostess seemed detached and aloof and took us to a table, the view was half blocked by a wall. Next to us was an empty table with a reserved sign. There was no other option, and we were disappointed, so we took the table. I brought a bottle of champagne, and I was told there will be a corkage fee. I was charged $50? that was outrageous! I wanted to get the eggs benedict, and I was told that was not available in the brunch menu? Ended up ordering two eggs, sausage and potatoes. Awful and overpriced $27, then I was also charged $5.00 for 4 pieces of charred toast? I don't think I will ever come back to your restaurant, and I will discourage people using it as well. Management take notice.

My fiancee and I had our date night in Berkeley change of scenery and venue which was the Limewood Bar & Restaurant. We enjoyed the drive up the winding road to get to the restaurant where the Valet took care of us as soon as we stopped in front of the Claremont Hotel. Our host escorted us to our seats promptly allowing us to be seated to see the sunset 🌅 and the view of the city. The appetizers we began with was the truffle steak frites and Spring Salad with Salmon, this was delicious. The steak and lamb loin was well done, the way we like it, but very soft and succulent, so amazing! Along with our sides we had the honey roasted corn and potatoes they truly satisfied the appetite. The finale was our butter cake with ice cream which made my toes curl this dessert 🍮 touched our souls. We truly enjoyed dining at your fine establishment along with your amazing staff. Thank you!

We had a group of 14 on a Sunday at noon. The table was served perfectly and the food all came out at the same time. Selections were numerous so everyone could pick their favorite. The hamburger is outrageously good.

A lovely time however, the parking is a bit challenging otherwise it was most enjoyable. We’ve gone there now three times.

We had a birthday celebration at Limewood. Always enjoy having lunch on the deck on a beautiful day with views of the bay. Food, ambience and server were all terrific!

Too expensive. $20 for lettuce salad plus $24 for a small piece of salmon added was $44, far too much $$$ for what was offered. Also too expensive for a plate that had a smallish smash burger and filled up with too many potato french fries. It was as if the kitchen had to fill up the empty space on the plate with fries to make up for the small $24 burger and no salad with it.

Great view of the bay and Berkeley Tennis Club. Secure parking. Excellent food and atmosphere. Part of classic Fairmont Hotel chain. Service was very good. Reservations required. Went on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed late brunch. Always have been happy with the hotel and its services.
