Antica Posta is an authentic Tuscan style restaurant located in the heart of the Buckhead entertainment district of Atlanta. Antica Posta combines fresh ingredients with traditional recipes for a dining experience that until now, was only available in our first restaurant in San Casciano, Italy.
Marco and Alessandro Betti, owners, proudly invites you to taste the simple, flavorful dishes that have made Italian and Tuscan cooking the most appreciated cuisine in the world.

  • "Three "old girls" celebrated my 80th birthday there. We have eaten in lot of restaurants over the years. We give this one a very high rating. The veal melted in my mouth. The pasta and vegetables were soft without being mushy. Salad was especially good. Everything was an "aha" moment."

  • "The atmosphere in the front room (didn't get to the back) was romantic, cozy--very appealing with white tablecloths and candles. I had the veal piccata which was wonderful--a little more like gravy than the traditional lemon butter sauce but I almost licked the plate. The seafood pasta and ravioli were thoroughly enjoyed by my friends. All in all, a delightful experience. Service was very attentive, but the restaurant wasn't very busy on a Sunday night."

  • "Antica Posta came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The service was wonderful and the food outstanding. Pastas are made in house and were decadent and novel, setting their menu aside from most other upscale Italian restaurants. The owner took the time to explain the history behind the name, and the staff could not have been more gracious. The delicious meal was topped off with a glass of port on the house. What a wonderful "old place"!"

  • "We have enjoyed Antica Posta since it opened and their quality has been consistently excellent. Every dish is genuine Italian, and the octopus is the most tender and flavorful in Atlanta (or truly anywhere I've eaten octopus). In addition, Marco, the owner, personally hosts wine dinners most Fridays and sometimes Saturdays, and this is the place where he lets the chef have some additional fun: generous shavings from his personal trove of truffles, outstanding dishes like handmade paccheri pasta with sea bass, seared tuna again with truffle, tenderloin and lamb chops, all paired with wonderful wines. Highly recommend Antica Posta-- it is the anchor of fine Tuscan cuisine in Atlanta. The real thing."

  • "I have been coming here consistently for over three years since I moved to Atlanta. This restaurant is one of the best in the US hands down. The management is attentive, the staff superb, and the food is world class. Come in December when you can have the white truffles from Alba!! The octopus melts in your mouth and the wine prices are closer to retail than any other restaurant I know. My favorites, outside of the white truffles, are the veal, seafood risotto, and sea bass."

  • "Had dinner at Antica Posta, this time trying the Seafood Risotto Appetizer (EXCELLENT) and then the Grilled Filet with Black Truffle (AMAZING). My friend had Octopus, Bowtie Pasta with Crabmeat and she said they were both excellent. The young Betti Brother in the Kitchen and his team really know how to cook. Service was once again professional and friendly. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Last nights dinner was great. My friend joining me is Gluten Free and had know problem finding Gluten Free items on the menu. We had the Arugula salad - you can never go wrong with this. For main courses we had the Sea Bass and Rack of Lamb, both was cooked to perfection. Even though we were already full from Salad and Main course we couldn't pass up our favorite Panna Cotta. We normally order a bottle of wine, but the wines by the glass allowed us to taste some really good wines without being committed to just one bottle."

  • "Last night I had to entertain my bosses from New York. I had to really impress them with a great restaurant were we could speak business and have a great meal. Antica Posta, as always, provided top notch service and excellent food. The Chef for Antica is magnificent. I tried the Tuscan Chicken last night and there was so much chicken and the taste just melted in your mouth. I am not to versed on wines, but my boss was very impressed with the Italian wines and ordered his favorite bottle of Sassicaia. Needless to say the dinner was a huge success. Thanks Antica"

  • "The food was good but the bad service took away anything that was good about the restaurant. It took forever to get anything and when we left someone at the hostess stand asked us about our night and we stated how bad the service had been and he said nothing. There are too many great restaurants in Atlanta to settle for bad service and personnel who don't care."

  • "My wife and I lived in Atlanta for years but are lucky enough now to live in Italy. Although we don't eat at Italian restaurants often in the States, for obvious reasons, when we are in Atlanta we love to dine at Antica Posta. Marco, the owner, a Toscano if there ever was one, is very gracious and dedicated to serving authentic Italian food at his restaurant. So authentic, that for us, having lived in Tuscany for the last five years, it is like eating at our favorite ristorante Toscano. In fact the only other place where I've found Polpo (octopus) fixed the proper way is how my mother-in-law prepares it in Italy, Funny story actually, my mother-in-law went out on dates to Marco's family restaurant just outside of Florence, back in the day."

  • "The food and service is consistently excellent. The swordfish is my wife's favorite although sometime they don't offer it if they can't get truly fresh fish. It's butterflied, simply grilled and drizzled with olive oil and served with arugula-simply delicious. My favorite is the gemelli pasta as a starter or the seafood resoto. Both are fantastic. The gemelli is mixed with cream, pancetta and peas. The seafood risotto has fresh Georgia shrimp, mussels and scallops. We also love the chicken (truly among the best we have ever had-crispy but moist) and the veal chop is huge. We also love the premium wine list by the glass as I enjoy red and my spouse white. I have never seen Amarone by the glass anywhere else."

  • "Three fish tartare exceptional if on the menu. Tried a new dish tonight, shrimp fra diavalo with whole wheat penne. Healthy and will order again. My favorite is the veal chop and ask for the roasted potato with it! Best in Atlanta. Wine list very solid Italian and fairly priced. Staff friendly and well-trained ... nice to see and rare these days."

  • "Once we got over the terribly placed driveway/entrance (bordered by a chain link fence and the restaurant), the inside was nice. The bread served to the table lacked any taste whatsoever (I think they forgot to put salt in the dough), but the entrees were spectacular. The tuna steak was fantastic, the ravioli was great (albeit a small portion for supper). Service was very good."

  • "First time diner and had a great time, wait staff was very attentive to our needs. Our waiter was excellent in helping with our food choices and the food was great. I would also have to recommend the grilled octopus appetizer, I know it sounds like it would be chewy but they do such a great job with it and it taste nothing like it sounds. The veal chop is The Best In Atlanta just as it is listed on the menu. I will go back and take friends."

  • "Antica Posta is one of the staples of high end Italian dining in Atlanta. Three brothers from Tuscany founded the restaurant, with Alessandro in the kitchen. The cuisine is the thing. It's built on traditional Italian fare, mostly northern Italian. And it is superb. We have never had a bad dinner at AP. The grilled octopus appetizer and sea bass entrée are signature dishes and worthy of that. The restaurant itself is an adorable conversion of a Buckhead cottage with quiet ambience suitable for romantic and special occasion dinners. The wait staff is competent and attentive. If Marco is in the house (one of the brothers) he may come to your table and regale you with stories. Some may find this intrusive, but it's authentic Italian."

  • "A great Italian restaurant in the heart of Buckhead. After being gone from Atlanta for a few years I love going back to my old favorites. Antica Posta is one of them. It was if I had just been there. Service was excellent, best waiters anywhere. Mercury helped us through the specials and to our final choices. We started with the grilled octopus, excellent choice, very well cooked and plenty of it. Arugula salad and tuscan meat sauce ravioli. My wife had the veal, which is one of thier signature items. Wow, tender and delicious. A hand picked bottle of sangoviese wine from the Feregaomo estate in Tuscany and the meal was complete. An evening spent in that small house in buckhead is a trip back to Italy's best food and wine."

  • "What a gem we have in Antico Posta. The owner was there to welcome us to the restaurant. The wait staff was amazing and walked us thru the food, bar and wine menus. Want to customize a dish or need to eat Gluten Free - they can do it ALL! The Veal Chop was amazing and my two guests said the chicken was incredible (yes Chicken). If you have the chance and a larger number of people - you must reserve the chef's table in the kitchen."

  • "It is the best grilled octopus in the world. Two of my guests never had octopus before and thought it was fantastic, flavorful, and very tender; it was once again cooked to perfection. All entrees could not have been better prepared and presented. The wait staff is always very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and wine list, as they always have been. The best Tuscan Italian food in North America...one of my favorite spots to dine for all occasions, with my wife for a romantic evening before the symphony or with customers after golf. Bar atmosphere for drinks or dining is comfortable and inviting."

  • "Antica Posta is an outstanding restaurant serving authentic Northern Italian dishes. Pastas are delicious and so is the risotto, especially when truffle season begins in the winter. The true standout dishes here, though, are the meats and fish dishes! Simple ingredients are used to prepare the most delicious fish, veal chops, lamb chops, and steaks that you can find in Atlanta!   • "The restaurant is an older one but very warm and charming. I tried the spaghetti ragu and wasn't that impressed, but my guest had the Tuscan Chicken and it was awesome! Very sweet/moist and tender- just wish I had gotten that! prices are modest and overall had a great experience. I especially liked the number of attentive staff they had there. perhaps because it was a Monday evening and they weren't that busy I noticed the constant appearance of a waiter standing nearby - but I was impressed as to how often they waited on us. definitely will go back again"

  • "From warm greetings, a homey feel and great menu to mouthwatering dishes and great ambience, we had an excellent experience. Branzino carpaccio tasted so fresh from the sea, octopus really was the best in the world as the menu states and the small portion of lobster farfalle was delicious with its true lobster flavor with garlic. Great to have so many main dish options available in a smaller portion allowing us to sample more dishes. All staff were friendly and accommodating as well. Finishing with panna cotta with strawberries and an illy espresso capped the evening for us. Wine selection enormous, but wish there were more available by the glass. Wonderful meal, will be back. Great for families or a romantic evening alike."
