Antica Posta is an authentic Tuscan style restaurant located in the heart of the Buckhead entertainment district of Atlanta. Antica Posta combines fresh ingredients with traditional recipes for a dining experience that until now, was only available in our first restaurant in San Casciano, Italy.
Marco and Alessandro Betti, owners, proudly invites you to taste the simple, flavorful dishes that have made Italian and Tuscan cooking the most appreciated cuisine in the world.

  • "Food was good. Im a sucker for some good rissoto and anything with truffle oil, so I had the best of both worlds with a simple black truffle oil risotto. My wife had the lamb chops. Both were excellent. The panna cotta and cappuccino to cap it off was absolutely delicious. Service seemed a little slow but we should've let them know that we had a show to go to. All in all, nice experience."

  • "I'd driven past and heard about Antica Posta for a long time but never dined there. We decided to go one evening, a group of 5--two couples and a single friend. I believe the maitre'd was the owner and could use an attitude adjustment--not exactly welcoming. Initially he seated us in the farthest regions of the basement and we were not in the least, amused. Once we were seated in the main dining room, we found the food was very good, surprisingly good, even. Our server turned out to be efficient and personable, though not 'friendly' or pushy in any way, and she knew the menu and wine list well. All good. ****Unless you are OK with feeling like an outcast in a barren, musty dungeon, do NOT allow them to seat you downstairs."

  • "Exquisite food. Very fresh tasting. Calamari unlike i've ever tasted. Salad simple and delicious. Swordfish: large portion and thinly sliced and cooked perfectly (grilled and succulent). We'll be back (even if it's not a special occasion !"

  • "Upon being seated, there was a printed note card on the table indicating that we should order our entire meal at one time in order to facilitate service and the kitchen. I thought we were the guests and it was the restaurant's role to accommodate us! . Three problems with the dinner. The swordfish was cut to about 1/8" thick and then grilled making it tough and unflavorful. This preparation style should have been noted on the menu or communicated by the waiter. Second, after ordering and consuming our dessert, we were presented with a complimentary tiramasu for our anniversary. Couldn't this have been done before ordering dessert? Finally, the list of wines by the glass is very small and I could not find any half bottles on the menu."

  • "The bad:The bar needs music. The bartenders aren't very talkative. The waiter was too talkative and kept listening to the conversation and jumping in with his two cents. The owner was not very friendly. We were celebrating three birthdays and they only brought out two desserts/two candles. The good: The food was really good."

He told us to be sure and order as soon as we were ready (not really what you want to hear at a pricey restaurant) and then could not seem to handle our orders, which were quite straightforward. Overall, the dinner was far too expensive for the experience. We're unlikely to go back."

  • "They say on the menu that the rotisserie chicken is the best you will ever have. They are right! It was amazing. The flavor is perfect and it was the most moist chicken I have ever eaten. The service could have been better but the food made up for it."

  • "I have eaten here before on the main level and it was FABULOUS. This past Saturday night was a DISASTER. Wait staff was awful and very inexperienced. Tried to take food away before anyone was done. Forks were very bent and had to steal new ones from another table as wait staff was no where to be found. I would DEFINATELY NOT reccomend this to anyone"

  • "Surprisingly, it took quite a while for someone to take our drink orders, even longer to deliver them. Same experience with our appetizers and entrees: slow to take the order, slower to deliver the food. I had ordered the soup special, but by the time it arrived, it was barely warm. The entrees took forever. The waitress came by once to assure us they were really on the way. But even more time elapsed before our meals arrived. I think the problem was my risotto. They must have run out earlier and had to start over as mine was under cooked--not the least bit creamy. The other three in the party were quite pleased with their meals, but not at all pleased with the service."

  • "Although we were very excited to try Antica Posta, we ended up being a bit disappointed with the whole experience. The food turned out to be okay but the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was very pushy and got upset that the ladies with us only wanted salads and appetizers. He only recommended the most expensive dishes and wines. They claim to have the best grilled octopus in the world. However, the octopus at Kyma is much better. In the end the main reason we will not return is the service - I noticed our waiter opened a couple of additional bottles of water after we asked for the check even though we didn't need water. He was just so focused on driving up our bill. Never again."

  • "We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and we got the VIP treatment. This was the first time any of us had been to Antica Posta and the owner came over to the bar and greeted us while we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. He selected a special table for the 4 of us. Then during dinner he came to our table to be sure everything was satisfactory. Nice touch. In addition to that the food and the service were excellent. They do not rush you to order or hurry to get through your meal. It was a lovely evening with great food, wine and service. We'll definitely be back."

  • "Long story short...it was a late, slow night, few patrons...so why did you spread everybody out? The rooms were empty, quiet, cold. We didn't care enough to actually move because the whole place was like that! But it was creepy, gave the impression your hey day was long past. Food was good. wait staff was good but they hovered. Frankly, I don't know how they could have done otherwise, placed, as we were, at the very back of an empty room. My steak was great...both of our meals were tasty, but now I remember why we don't go even though you are in the hood. A little more attention to your patrons' experience, please!"

  • "my wife and i used to love this restaurant. its not cheap but the food and wine always brought us back. when they first opened the food and service were top notch. then the service started to slide but the food was still good. now the food seems to be going downhill as well. some of the food items came out room temperature, and there were ingredients missing from some of the items we ordered. finally, while we ate we got the feeling that they wanted us to hurry up so the real customers could be seated. we were there kind of early for dinner,(6pm). this might just be the normal life cycle of restaurants, i dont know. there are just too many good restaurants in atlanta for us to go back. hope this helps."

  • "Went for NYE got an early reservation. Our table of 4 was SA t promptly order had to be all at one time bc of holiday. The items on menu sounded wonderful choose 2 appetizers & meals as waiter instructed. Wine was pour appetizers delivered ... Once ..::twice... Waiter came by delivered knife for meal. He comes back & asked if we wanted out appetizer & we said no we had them dinner. 15 min later no dinner waiter avoids us. We speak to manager promise to deliver dinner in 5 min . 5 min later we left $ on table to cover bill since waiter never retuned to table . Again what food we had was good just not enough to spend 1 1/2 for of wine, calamari steak & salad. Waiter made the rating what it is! VERY Disappointed!!!"

  • "We used to like this place. But this time we had a terrible table, back corner of the basement, very claustrophobic. We asked to change tables and were told that all tables were reserved. Stayed for over two hours - vast majority of tables remained open. Food and service were mediocre- we were rushed by our waiter, after asking for few more minutes to review the menu, he returned in approximately one minute and was insistent that we order. Food was overpriced and not memorable. There are so many great Italian choices in Buckhead - too bad for Antica Posta because they're clearly not in touch with their customers, local competition will certainly capitalize. This place has lost its way-we used to recommend to our friends, but no longer."

  • "Showed to the table "your table is ready" it was not. Waited for ever for the Server who got the order wrong. Meals not as described grilled vegtables turns out to be boiled to death broccoli. Other meals not great. So a poor experience. This was a treat for visiting family as had been before several times and it was great but won't rush back."

  • "There are few good things I can say about this place. The service was "odd" at best. The server came to take our order nut walked off to serve food to another table when we were giving it! When he finally came back he took our order and sat down a basket of breadsticks. Before I could eat half of one, my food was before me. My guest jokingly asked if I had called ahead with our order. I've never felt so rushed to leave a restaurant. The servers stood ten feet from out table, checking their watches. The food was good...my lamb was tasty, my friend's veal "boring" he said. Dessert was great, but the overall experience, not so great."

  • "From the greeting through the evening the service was warm, informative and helpful. The staff is great and the food is memorable. The grilled octopus is advertised as "world's best" and lives up to the billing. Sea Bass was, as usual, wonderful, risotto with truffles memorable as was the pasta with cream sauce and truffles. Great wine by the glass selection and informatively presented by staff All in all, not cheap but worth every penny. Good people doing seriously good food in a very accessible way Go"
