Antica Posta is an authentic Tuscan style restaurant located in the heart of the Buckhead entertainment district of Atlanta. Antica Posta combines fresh ingredients with traditional recipes for a dining experience that until now, was only available in our first restaurant in San Casciano, Italy.
Marco and Alessandro Betti, owners, proudly invites you to taste the simple, flavorful dishes that have made Italian and Tuscan cooking the most appreciated cuisine in the world.

  • "It is the best grilled octopus in the world. Two of my guests never had octopus before and thought it was fantastic, flavorful, and very tender; it was once again cooked to perfection. All entrees could not have been better prepared and presented. The wait staff is always very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and wine list, as they always have been. The best Tuscan Italian food in North America...one of my favorite spots to dine for all occasions, with my wife for a romantic evening before the symphony or with customers after golf. Bar atmosphere for drinks or dining is comfortable and inviting."

  • "Antica Posta is an outstanding restaurant serving authentic Northern Italian dishes. Pastas are delicious and so is the risotto, especially when truffle season begins in the winter. The true standout dishes here, though, are the meats and fish dishes! Simple ingredients are used to prepare the most delicious fish, veal chops, lamb chops, and steaks that you can find in Atlanta! The quality here is consistent, and Marco has shared some of his own Italian heritage with us- don't miss it...."

Food is always good and authentic Northern Italian, prices are competitive with other good restaurants and the service is excellent.   • "The restaurant is an older one but very warm and charming. I tried the spaghetti ragu and wasn't that impressed, but my guest had the Tuscan Chicken and it was awesome! Very sweet/moist and tender- just wish I had gotten that! prices are modest and overall had a great experience. I especially liked the number of attentive staff they had there. perhaps because it was a Monday evening and they weren't that busy I noticed the constant appearance of a waiter standing nearby - but I was impressed as to how often they waited on us. definitely will go back again"

  • "We have been to Antica Posta many times and it is always outstanding. They have a varied menu of many favorite Italian dishes. I almost never order chicken at any other restaurant but here their chicken is absolutely amazing. My wife had the seared tuna that was fabulous as always with some risotto on the side. The wine list here is also excellent and the prices are very good. A typical bottle at Antica Posta is often 30% or more higher priced at other area restaurants. Outstanding food and wine plus great service - we will keep returning..."

  • "I went here on the recommendation of a friend who raved about the food. The owners have relatives who own a restaurant in Italy so they're from a restaurant family. The food is good and the decor is nice. Very high ceilings, good service, white tablecloth. Our party of 9 was very particular and they allowed us to pay by separate checks (we were all co-workers on a work trip). Everyone raved about the gelato. I liked my octopus special appetizer. The chicken was good too. Some said the portion sizes weren't that large and others thought the food was good but not outstanding. They were very understanding about our issues with the wine as my co-workers didn't like the first bottle and sent it back. Very patient staff."

  • "It all begins when you receive a warm welcome from owner Marco Betti. The staff is attentive, focused and friendly. The ambiance is fantastic and the food is even better! This winter, we rented one of their spacious rooms and hosted a birthday party for my wife and 35 of our friends, many from out of town. They still rave about the great food, wine and experience. While all of the food is great, if they have the Octopus on the menu, you have to try it. I've had it all over the world and Antica Posta's is the best. I've sampled many fish, veal and pasta dishes, all outstanding. Don't forget to leave room for grandma's cake!"

  • "From warm greetings, a homey feel and great menu to mouthwatering dishes and great ambience, we had an excellent experience. Branzino carpaccio tasted so fresh from the sea, octopus really was the best in the world as the menu states and the small portion of lobster farfalle was delicious with its true lobster flavor with garlic. Great to have so many main dish options available in a smaller portion allowing us to sample more dishes. All staff were friendly and accommodating as well. Finishing with panna cotta with strawberries and an illy espresso capped the evening for us. Wine selection enormous, but wish there were more available by the glass. Wonderful meal, will be back. Great for families or a romantic evening alike."

  • "The best Tuscan experience in Atlanta, period... very polished service and many standout dishes like veal chop, unusual and wonderful swordfish - cut very thin and grilled with olive oil and lemon - yummy lobster pasta and some of Atlanta's very best sea bass. Truly authentic, the brothers Betti - whose family is, I believe - in the olive oil business in Tuscany - have never been better. Noteworthy mostly Italian wine list and exceptional wine by the glass selections... open bottles are preserved in a special Italian system that keeps open bottles from oxidizing quickly. Never disappointing, ideal for a romantic date or group, dressy or more casual works here. Experienced wait staff. All in all, one of my very favorite spots in Atlanta."

  • "We dined at Antica Posta to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and Father's Day! It is pricy but worth it! Mercury was our server and he was excellent! I would ask for him again for our next visit! Although all the server staff was very attentive and professional and nice! One other point to make, we sat in the bar area and it was wonderful! I have dined in the restaurant part too, but really enjoyed the bar area better! Thank you Antica Posta for a fabulous night!"

  • "I took my mother there for Mother's Day. Thought, "hey it's a nice restaurant, we've been before, she'll love it." I don't know how booked they were, but my family was one of the first to arrive for reservations and they put us in the worst table right in front of the kitchen door. We probably could have been located in a more cozy spot. Also, I'm vegan (yes I know not the best restaurant for me, but anything is doable) - When I go to nice restaurants like this they make great accommodations for me and it's not a problem. However, my order was incorrect which kind of stunk. Call me a food snob but I wanted penne instead of spaghetti. These simple things are what you expect from a place like this. "

This isn't an American Italian chain restaurant thankfully. The Chef's Sandro Oven Roasted Chicken is amazing. If they have Ahi Tuna with Black Truffle Carpaccio order it."

  • "Antica Posta has an outstanding reputation for quality and consistency of their meals. This was our fourth time and I have always left satisfied with the meal. The wait staff is expert in food and wine and is always able to direct us to a good decision. However, service is cold and impersonal. The meals which we ordered were roasted Seabass which was absolutely magnificent and a flank steak which was pounded thin and prepared to perfection. We just wish that we did not seem to be a distraction to the wait staff rather than the reason for their work."

  • "I've been to Antica Posta a few times now, each time with various groups of people. The food is outstanding. Easily the best octopus appetizer in the city and my swordfish was cooked perfectly. I have yet to hear a complaint about any meal ordered here. My only complaint, and it's mainly b/c my phone rings constantly, is that I had 3 missed calls from the restaurant to confirm my reservation. Not a big deal, but I had just made it tne day before. As easy as OpenTable is to use, I would hope people would cancel if they couldnt make it."

  • "Food was good. Im a sucker for some good rissoto and anything with truffle oil, so I had the best of both worlds with a simple black truffle oil risotto. My wife had the lamb chops. Both were excellent. The panna cotta and cappuccino to cap it off was absolutely delicious. Service seemed a little slow but we should've let them know that we had a show to go to. All in all, nice experience."

  • "I'd driven past and heard about Antica Posta for a long time but never dined there. We decided to go one evening, a group of 5--two couples and a single friend. I believe the maitre'd was the owner and could use an attitude adjustment--not exactly welcoming. Initially he seated us in the farthest regions of the basement and we were not in the least, amused. Once we were seated in the main dining room, we found the food was very good, surprisingly good, even. Our server turned out to be efficient and personable, though not 'friendly' or pushy in any way, and she knew the menu and wine list well. All good. ****Unless you are OK with feeling like an outcast in a barren, musty dungeon, do NOT allow them to seat you downstairs."

  • "Upon being seated, there was a printed note card on the table indicating that we should order our entire meal at one time in order to facilitate service and the kitchen. I thought we were the guests and it was the restaurant's role to accommodate us! . Three problems with the dinner. The swordfish was cut to about 1/8" thick and then grilled making it tough and unflavorful. This preparation style should have been noted on the menu or communicated by the waiter. Second, after ordering and consuming our dessert, we were presented with a complimentary tiramasu for our anniversary. Couldn't this have been done before ordering dessert? Finally, the list of wines by the glass is very small and I could not find any half bottles on the menu."

  • "The bad:The bar needs music. The bartenders aren't very talkative. The waiter was too talkative and kept listening to the conversation and jumping in with his two cents. The owner was not very friendly. We were celebrating three birthdays and they only brought out two desserts/two candles. The good: The food was really good."
