  • ""What a wonderful meal my wife said" as we left this find from Open Table. Each of our Italian soups had a delicious broth that made them very tasty. My wife's veal Marsala was excellent as was the scaloppine with artichokes and capers that I had. The special of 2 glasses of Prosecco with one dessert was too good to pass up and we enjoyed a dish of Spumoni that we hadn't had in a long time. The one note of caution was a side dish of penne that came with the entrees. Both of us said we were lucky we hadn't ordered pasta which we might well have done if we weren't trying to follow a lo-carb diet. The bread too probably wasn't worth those carbs. The wine was excellent as was the service."

  • "We were visiting from Washington, DC and were looking for some good food and found it. We just ordered entrees and no wine since we had a long drive ahead of us. It seemed they were a little short on staff in the front, with the executive chef and one waitress taking care of the tables. The food was excellent. I had a salmon special and my spouse a pasta dish. Everything was just right, from the bread to the level of doneness of the fish, If I find myself in G'ville again we are definitely returning."

  • "The overall experience was less than desirable. The temperature inside the restaurant was very warm. Several members of our party repeatedly asked for the air to be turned down without results. Then, the food was VERY salty...one guest couldn't eat her entree at all because it was so salty. All in all, when paying $75pp (including wine), I except an overall better experience. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll return."

The executive chef came out to make sure everything was to our liking and it was. Dwayne had one of the best Calamari dishes and the sauce was superb. I enjoyed a well done eggplant parm dinner.   • "The food was absolutely delicious BUT the ambience wasn't what I was hoping for. I wanted a romantic restaurant. The decor was nice but not romantic. There were a few pretty pictures, wall sconces, oil candle on the table. The room was very small and VERY crowded with tables. When we walked in there was no one at the door to greet us and I wasn't sure if we walked in a side door. The waitress was good. There was a wedding party so we waited over an hour for our food - not their fault. The appetizer, salad and entree were spaced very far apart time-wise, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but slower than expected as they were fully booked. We were there 2 hours. I might go back on a special occasion."

  • "We came for our anniversary and wanted a romantic atmosphere. The ambiance was moderate, we thought it would be more romantic than it was, however the service was excellent. The server was friendly, knew the dishes well, offered recommendations based on our inquiries and the timing ( serving ) of the meal was perfect, not rushed at all...this was important to us. The portions were very generous and the flavor superb. This is what a dining experience should be, good service, relaxed timing and delicious food. The chef came over and asked about our meal and showed an interest in our answers and we received a complimentary dessert as an anniversary gift. We will be back."

  • "I brought some out of town friends for a nice dinner. Although the food was good, the service was lacking. It was a Saturday night at 7pm, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. We sat in the back dinning room. We waited way to long for drinks and appetizers. Once our meal was delivered, we ordered a glass of wine, which we ended up cancelling because we finished eating before it ever arrived. It just seemed that things weren't going very well for our waiter. We were only a party of 4, but he seemed overwhelmed."

  • "They served my husband the wrong dish, and told him sorry, but the only difference was the vegetables in the dish. That was not the case at all. He ordered veal pizziola which is a light garlicky tomato sauce and mushrooms, and he got heavy tomato sauce with artichokes and other veggies. They took the dish back to the kitchen and brought the same dish back minus the veggies and artichokes. We should have refused to pay because my husband did not eat the dish. My meal was so-so. It was veal rollatini and there was nothing much rolled in it. Couldn't even taste any cheese. It cost us $ 92.00 with the tip and it was terrible. Would not go back and not recommend."

  • "For my first visit to this established area restaurant, I chose to make online dinner reservations for our anniversary. The notable customer service began even before my wife and I sat at our table, as the staff was quite helpful over the phone with advice and directions for parking on what turned out to be a rather rainy evening. The ambience was comfortably intimate, the staff appropriately attentive and accommodating--including the Chef and proprietor, who made a point of personally greeting the customers. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her shrimp and pasta selection, and I found yet another option to add to my list of preferred chicken marsala offerings (a personal favorite dish, and one by which I like to benchmark Italian fare)."

The main courses were solid-the veal Marsala was good but my chicken with eggplant, Parmesan and Tomato was terrific! The salads that came with it were above average and the cannoli a nice ending.
