Zuni Caesar salad
Chicken for Two
roasted in the brick oven; warm bread salad with scallions, garlic, frilly mustard greens, dried currants, and pine nuts (approximately 60 minutes)
with Manchego cheese, paprika almonds, and citrus vinaigrette
The food was quite good, although not exceptional. I thought the dining room decor where I was seated was rather spare
My server, Michaela, was a doll and really made the evening!
Zuni pops and I’m glad they’re open again to serve the foodie community. Just am in love with Zuni. My rating speaks for itself. If you haven’t try them !!!
My favorite restaurant in SF. I get the Chicken and Bread Salad everytime! It was nice to sit outside.
GET THE CHICKEN! IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! I PROMISE!
We totally enjoyed the food, service, ambiance and physical surroundings.
The only time they had available tables was at 9pm. They then proceeded to sit us right by the door with our backs against their storefront glass window. I asked if we could sit in a different section or upstairs, and they refused...but they then sat down a couple that walked in later in the backroom.
Additionally, the booster mandate was such a burdensome ask and stressed us out. I recently had COVID so I hadn't had the chance to get the booster and was stressing out the whole week trying to find a booster before dining.
An old favorite of mine and my wife’s. Outdoor seating was available and with the noisy Market street traffic we felt like we were eating in a sidewalk café in Paris. We enjoyed Zuni’s famous chicken for two which we have tried to replicate at home using their cookbook recipe. Ours is good but theirs is the gold standard. Cocktails, wine Caesar salad and dessert all keep Zuni among our top tier favorite SF restaurants.
Anniversary meal was good but I should have read the menu closely. Great service.
the waiter was very nice, but it took an hour from when we were seated until we got the main course. The 25 % surcharge was a surprise. at least it was pointed out in Lew of a tip.
Chicken chicken chicken was heavenly! Long wait, but a birthday allowed us to catch up. One of my favorite places in S.F.!
fabulous & even better than i remembered (if that is possible)!!!
Good service. Food well prepared, with good presentation. More than ample wine list with an experienced sommelier. Overall a very good experience. Note: the menu and wine list do have some expensive items, but it's flexible enough so that one can also enjoy a moderately priced meal .
quite expensive and very small portions. Cesar salad was good.
Very very overrated and overpriced. Save your money and time.
Another amazing meal. I also appreciate how Zuni works hard to keep their staff and patrons safe with their Covid protocols.
Love this Iconic Zuni. In my decades of eating there I have never been disappointed by the unique food, service and ambiance. All the staff was exceptional yesterday.
Loved the entire meal! Chicken for two and shoestring fries were delicious and perfectly done. Elderflower cocktail was a nice refreshing beverage with the meal, pianist made the ambiance
The chicken bread salad is not as good as it used to be - bread was too soggy - but still my favorite restaurant in the world.
Very nice lunch at Zunni during a time I would be otherwise reluctant to eat indoors. They closely check vaccination cards and identification, and the tables are generously spaced - preventing much of the 'should-I-be-eating-indoors' anxiety common to the moment. As always, the menu offerings are thoughtful and the wine selection is amazing. The service is friendly and unobtrusive. Most importantly the food is great, very well-prepared and artfully presented.
As always even in the most difficult times it is Spectacular. We live on the East Coast and have only been fortunate enough to dine about 10 to 12 times but it is always our first stop. We have at least 1 lunch (just to get the burger) and usually dinner twice.
It’s one of the finest places we have ever been anywhere in the world. The drinks are fabulous and all servers are knowledgeable and very friendly,
Also, one of the finest cookbooks ever written.
Part of our wedding week of celebration!!
Wonderful chicken dish. We visit every time we travel here from Michigan.
Always a pleasure to eat at Zuni! The team is incredible, knowledgable and friendly. Food was amazing (and had a wonderful margarita). Thank you for everything you do!
It was great
Cold and uninterested service. Reservation but table at the bar area in front of open door to the outside.
Food and service were outstanding. Tables were a bit too close together for our comfort level.
The roasted chicken dish is famous & lives up to its rep.
We were planning on sharing plates as we waited for the chicken (which takes an hour according to the menu) but they accidentally doubled our order
Food is always delicious. But our stuffing was burnt. When pointed out they brought more. So that was good.
Zuni never disappoints. We live in LA, but make it a point to always get dinner at Zuni when we come to SF. It is always a beautiful meal and evening.
Birthday lunch was very good!
Zuni is a must-visit spot whenever I’m in San Francisco. It’s just a really special place, and they’re always willing to accommodate my vegetarianism/help me navigate the ever-changing (yet always delicious) menu.
Most of all Michael, our server, made the experience luxe and wonderful. Everyone was lovely!
In SF for our honeymoon, Zuni Café was highly recommended as a special treat. Boy were they right! Roast chicken for 2 was impeccable and thoroughly enjoyed! A memorable experience from start to finish.
This is such a lovely place to hold a celebratory dinner!
always love going to zuni cafe! the salad with pickled walnuts was a new dish for us and it was delicious.
I felt like I was in Paris with the accordion player and the singer serenading me along the Seine. Enjoyable experience!
Superb service! I wish they would at least have one entree for brunch/lunch that’s vegetarian-centered.
