Zuni is as good as it was 25 years ago, when Judy Rogers ran the restaurant. The food was exquisite, the cocktails are some of the best in the city, on ambiance beautiful. Waiters were gracious. I always know will have a perfect meal and wonderful night out at Zuni.

As usual we ordered the roast chicken, We were not disappointed. The chicken was roasted to perfection; the pieces were moist and flavorful. Because we had a party of three, we also ordered the roast pork. It was also excellent; the meat was especially tender and moist. Zuni never disappoints.

The appetizers and shared entree were excellent, but the service was a bit off. It didn't seem like there was a lot of communication between the wait staff, runners, kitchen and bar, which ended up with dishes and cocktails and wine arriving at awkward times. Dessert drinks were also a miss -- no Grand Marnier according to our waitress so Cointreau instead, and bourbon ordered neat arrived on the rocks. Our waitress acknowledged my wife's birthday (noted in the reservation), but there was no dessert treat suggested or offered. First world problems all, and it was a very busy Saturday night. We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken dinner for two!

The risotto's arborio was a tad underdone--on the starchy side, and the risotto itself lacked flavor, though the peas were nice and fresh and beautifully cooked. The sea bass was good, but the plate, in general, lacked flavor. We felt rushed. We specifically asked that the first course not be brought to the table till we finished our glasses of sparkling wine, so we could begin enjoying the bottle we brought with the meal. The risotto was brought almost immediately. Bread plates would have been nice. The waiter brought flutes for our still white wine. All in all, a fairly mediocre experience.

I came on an off day. The roast chicken was under-seasoned, the bread salad mushy and inedible. Disappointing.

Zuni cafe was my favorite restaurant. I go every time I visit SF. Tonight it was noticeably different. Some one stopped caring.
The food was flat in looks, presentation, and flavor. : Everything felt dull and lifeless including service. Everybody was going through the motions. SOMETHING HAS CHANGED AND NOT FUR THE BETTER. SOMEBODY STOPPED CARING. RIP ZUNI CAFE I am very sad.

Had 60 minute chicken for 2. It was very good portion and it can serve 3-4 ppl as well. The ambience was very good at the restaurant.

Best gnocchi ever. Light as a feather. Made with ricotta Parmesan and a little egg. Fresh peas, super yummy. The Caesar salad could've used more anchovies in HMO. Delicious bass entrée and buttermilk panna cotta with roasted rhubarb for dessert. Divine.

Very personable staff. That means a lot to me. I already knew their cuisine was superb. From Adrienne at the front desk to Nancy, my server. Highly intelligent and warmly attentive. I arrived before my guest and was able to appreciate the stunning art more than I previously had.

I have been a regular since the beginning and the service this time was way below the level one would expect from such a fantastic restaurant. Sure there could have been a calamity of errors but we waited 45 minutes for our wine to arrive , then some bread then waited another 30 for the salad. I was embarrassed to have so highly recommended it to my guests .

Zuni is always wonderful! We had the halibut and sea bass, both beautifully presented and delicious. You can count on fresh and healthful food here. The only quibble I might have is that the portions were a bit small. We shared a really good meringue with huckleberries and pistachios for dessert. I definitely recommend Zuni!

Rob, the manager was warm and friendly! We also enjoyed excellent service from Teddy who has been in Zuni for 17 years.
Most importantly, my husband and I enjoyed the potato shoestrings and the delicious sea bass!
We hope they win the 2018 James Beard ‘Outstanding Service Award’!!!

Ceasar Salad was great, the croutons are just the right amount of crunchy and the dressing is a perfect, true Ceasar. The bread salad (chicken for 2) was perfection. The bread is perfect, soft and chewy with a slight crunch. The flavor of the dressing has the right amount of tanginess. The best.

Great experience after a major challenge. I have been eating at this restaurant for 20+ years. I live 150 miles away. Drove up picked up my friend and drove over to dinner to discover that Zuni no longer has valet parking. Also the parking garage they directed us to is closed permanently. So spent a lot of time driving around in Friday night traffic and rain trying to get back in the neighborhood of the restaurant to try to find a parking place. The staff were very accommodating despite the fact that ultimately we were almost 45 minutes late for our reservation because of this challenge. Went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and Welcome. The food was as usual fantastic we had a great evening and I commend them for all their help

I had been craving their chicken for two. While it didn't disappoint (it never does) the skin was a little less crispy then it has been in the past. But, we were one of the first orders to come in after the shift from Brunch to Dinner so I will give them a pass on this.

The oysters were incredible, the cocktails, fries and olives were (as always) a winning start to the celebration. The service was friendly, attentive and we felt truly catered to.

I love coming here and sitting in the midst of all of the hum of the City. I think it is one of my favorite places to eat.

The pork roast on Thursday, March 29th was a very meager portion for over $30. It was quite overdone. 5 little shoestring carrots accompanied the pork. The was quite disappointing.

Fabulous dinner; of course, we had the chicken and it was superb! A bit heavy on the arugula, and on the pricey side, but worth it! Loved the ambiance and the service was outstanding.

Three of us, we all had different things, and all felt the food was among the best we’ve had lately. My fish had interesting accompaniments that went really well together. It was all delicious! A. It too noisy for my taste, it otherwise highly recommended.

The food met expectations. Roasted chicken takes time but it was the best I've tasted. Shoe string potatoes are great. Staff is attentive and helpful. Margarita was excellent. The drawback is that the chicken takes around sixty minutes to get to the table. By the time it was ready, we had already eaten quite a bit which made the final dish a stomach stretcher. Atmosphere is nicely lit glass and wood surroundings with pleasing art on the walls. We were visiting the city and Zuni made for a very congenial evening.

Zuni is a San Francisco staple. Service is always fantastic. Limited, but delicious menu. Chicken is fantastic, as is the caesar salad. Of course, the bread, oh, the bread. Keep it coming. Yummy desserts. It's always a great experience. Will definitely go back.
