We always love Zuni and look forward to being there again when you reopen!
Even on the sidewalk only, it’s still Zuni. The shoestring potatoes, the amazing food, the cocktails.... what was ever and even still not to love? ❤️❤️
Great food and service. Excellent selection available. Salads, soups, and entrees all top notch.
I love Zuni. I have a tradition of going there on my birthday, and was pleased this year would not have to be an exception. They did a nice job. I miss the lovely interior, but the food and service were both at their usual standard.
My partner and I had been wanting to try Zuni Cafe for a while, and it did not disappoint! The roasted chicken was incredible! The outdoor dining was a little noisy, but the heaters make sitting outside very comfortable.
The restaurant apparently doesn’t read the notes that you can write in when you make the reservation. our special request was totally ignored. Outdoor dining is on a public sidewalk where homeless people troll up and down all day. The stench really takes away from the flavor of the food.
An exceptional outdoor dining experience, would highly recommend
Outdoor dining on Market Street is awful. People yelling at one another as they walk by, sirens, etc. Clearly not Zuni’s fault. Service was lacking. Not sure if with Covid the servers are less present. We had a spill and there was no assistance. I had to use people’s napkins and take them to them. BUT servers were wonderful and nice when they were there. Will still support this wonderful restaurant. Food is delicious!
Outdoor dining during Covid at it’s best!
Oh, how we love you, Zuni!!
You are always so special, so splendid, so sumptuous!!!
Thank you for the great service - even in the mini rain!
It was cold outside. They had several heaters inside that were not in use . When I asked why I was told they needed propane! Why Zuni can’t get propane I have NO idea...
A lil gem of restaurant with amazing food and outstanding service. We tried several appetizer & dishes and everything tasted so yum
Food and service was great until another server poured a bottle of red wine and walked away. As I went to the restroom I heard the waiters talking about that someone poured a bottle of wine at table 6 And it was supposed to be for table 7. I got my bill for 213.00 when I gave them my card to pay for it another bill came back for 293.00 and a charge for the bottle of wine for 68.00 that I did not even order or that any of the waiters said anything about. Very disappointed with the serving staff
A lovely, enjoyable , friendly, pleasant ,
delicious lunch experience! Not easy to provide these days. Congrats, Zuni!
Thank you, Sharon
excellent food, good menu choice, prompt service even though all tables are outside
Outdoor experience a little challenging because of unmasked street people passing by.
Great outdoor seating. Can’t wait to be inside again.
The food is great as usual. Outside dining on Market St is very urban, but not bad. Food and service more then made up for it. Still a favorite in the city.
Oh how we'd missed your delicious food. We didn't get the chicken this time (we typically get that at night for dinner) but the Caesar salad, super yummy fall soup, shoestring fries' and the burger did not disappoint. Sitting on the side walk was made as pleasant as possible. The bar tender did not disappoint either. Still one of my all time favorites. So glad you are surviving these crazy times.
Zuni remains one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco because of its terrific food. We had to dine outside this time. Service was fine but not great because of the rules that limit interaction between servers and diners. The food, as always, was superb. My only complaint is that the restaurant lacks outdoor heaters and it was chilly.
What a treat to enjoy lunch at our favorite SF restaurant during this time of
covid...we felt very comfortable in the surroundings and the food, as always, along with the staff...were a delight and delicious!!!!
This was my third visit to Zuni. I live in AZ, but I do my best to ensure I have at least one meal at Zuni when in San Francisco. This was my first lunch experience. Due to COVID we dined outside on the Market Street sidewalk. It was actually fun to be outside enjoying the sunshine. We had the chicken for two split with three people...still too much food. The chicken, greens and croutons did not disappoint. It did make me sad to see the magnificent glass windows covered with wooden boards, but this seems to be the new normal in San Francisco.
Covid period is not the ideal time to go. No table service, cafe is boarded up.
I've been going to the Zuni since it opened in the 70s. It's one of the best restaurants in San Francisco and has been for all those years. They have adapted to the cauvet world we are now living in very professionally. It felt very safe to sit at a table, and the wait staff are respectful and behave safely. As always the food is fantastic, but unfortunately the ambience is colored by the fact that tables are set up on Market Street. It's noisy and there are lots of people passing by. Unfortunately, this is just how it is, for now. When we can move back inside cama the Zuni cafe will again be one of the most pleasurable dining experiences in San Francisco, and maybe the entire country.
Great effort during COVID. Excellent service. Food was good. Time to take down the plywood off the windows.
Despite service alterations due to COVID, Zuni maintains it's dedication to excellent food and service.
We went to Zuni for lunch and sat outside on Market Street due to covid restrictions. A little noisy but we were so glad to be there! Food excellent. Service fine but it is a little different since you go up to door to order. So glad to be able to support them!
Zuni is truly one of the most wonderful restaurants in SF. They are consistently amazing with food and service - love love love this place
This was not a typical night ( March 15) They did a beautiful job of keeping distances with flowers on every other table. Our dinner was as excellent as usual, and the staff, though less social, were as kind as always. I hope the staff and purveyors can all weather this storm with a minimum of hardship, and we will all be back enjoying one of our very favorite restaurants.
Food was as always fantastic
With only 30-50% of tables being used to allow for a safe distance, it felt less lively than usual, but definitely the right thing to do
Great Standard, if you have not been to ZUNI, make a reservation!
Great service and ambiance.
I got the hamburger, would not order it again.
Caeser salad outstanding, pizza great, the panna cotta amazing.
This is a classic SF restaurant that maintains high standards with unique offerings.
You will not be disappointed. Consider the server's recommendations for what to order.
During the Covid-19 event, we still decided to visit the classic SF place with our visiting nephew. Service was great, friendly and responsive. The food was solid. We had the Ricotta gnocchi, the fritto and the fries kept us busy while we waited for the chicken. We also had the pork with broad beans. Loved the pork! Desserts were the grapefruit Campari sorbet and the gateau victoire. Victoire was absolutely the winner!
Overall a great experience to share with friends and family.
Excellent, as usual! The oysters, drinks (martini, lemon drop, wine... apple juice for our son), Caesar salad, shoestring fries, gnocchi and roasted chicken were enjoyed by all. Thank you for a great birthday dinner & hope to be back soon.
45 years and still amazing. Service is superb! Thank you Teddy! Food absolutely delicious.
I've always loved this place and always go when in SF. Not sure I'll return next time. The service was rude - terrible. So unlike them. And our vegetarian pizza was lackluster and not flavorful. Sadly not the memorable experience it used to be.
Only comment ,
My guest asked that her Bloody Mary have salt on the edge of hers [ like a Margarita ] and surprisingly , the waitress said no ... she seemed new and maybe thought the bartender would give her a hard time .
Actually , a simple request that would have been easy to do .
It did not spoil our lunch
Thanks again
Overall good food, the chicken was very good however the polenta was a little bland. The service was excellent and the ambiance was good.
Zuni consistently is on "game"....the food, the wine, the people, we LOVE our evenings with everyone there, grateful to be able to go once a week, thank you all, Kim and Clarence Barker
Gorgeous food and impeccable service. Everything one desires in visiting a restaurant.
