We had the chicken for two, shoestring potatoes and caramel pot de creme. Simple but delicious food. Excellent service. We will be back for sure!
First time visiting California so I wanted to end the trip with a bang. Zuni did not disappoint! We were able to have lunch, and although we didn’t dine inside I felt as if I got the true spirit of the space. The best Bloody Mary ( balsamic) I ever had! My husband and I had the chicken for two. Wow amazing. My son had a burger, my niece a beautiful pasta dish. We had all the desserts and several cocktails, apps.. etc. Service was outstanding and I would definitely return should I go back to visit again.
Zuni Cafe is my favorite restaurant in SF. I think I was last there in 2019 so I was really looking forward to it. I was disappointed that we had to sit outside, as I thought SF was in the "red tier" and could have limited seating. The murals on the wood panels covering the windows of the restaurant were fun, though, and I did appreciate the graffiti-like art on display. The food was amazing, as usual. Our server was good but not great. She seemed nervous or uncomfortable. Our brunch bill was $138 (without tip) for two people who didn't drink alcohol, which I think is the most expensive brunch I've ever had, but I'd certainly go back once they are doing seating inside again.
It was so wonderful to experience Zuni again! It normalized life for me.
Din d outside on a lovely afternoon. Lots of space between tables made me fell more comfortable .Service and food were as outstanding as always.
Being outside was a treat due to the weather but still better to be inside when it is safe to do so. The food is always excellent and it is great so see familiar faces. What a joy to see a San Francisco dining institution open up again!
love love love zuni chx, panzanella, champagne, shoestring potatoes!
Zuni is always a wonderful experience and even a pandemic doesn’t change that.
the best place to experience a debut in going out to brunch in sf. this was the first fine dining restaurant in a year
had a caesar salad and oysters zuni has not lost their skill. oysters perfectly chilled and salad divine.
andrea the hostess was the first person i saw when i arrived. even with her mask on she welcomed us.
wow what a treat.
very safe
As always Zuni is the best experience in town. The accordion player was such a nice touch. I felt as if I was at Campo Di Fiori in Rome.
Love Zuni so much!!!!
Everything was stellar, as usual...while it was nice to be outside (or at Zuni at all), the table was small for four and the street was busy/loud...looking forward to dining w/you again inside and/or once the windows are unboarded so we can enjoy the views (whether inside or out). ❤️
Great Food. Great service. Unfortunately, even with an awning, it was hard to stay dry while dining outside on a rainy day. Will definitely return on a sunny day or when we can dine inside.
Love Zuni; the food was great. Service is top notch.
Unfortunately, outdoor dining created by COVID takes a lot away from the Zuni experience. We’ve been going there for many years, it’s always wonderful. Despite the rave reviews about the chicken, I wouldn’t have it again. Delicious but not really anything extraordinary. Service impeccable. Wines overpriced. Terrific Cesar salad. I love Zuni and will definitely go back but indoors when it is available. Over the years the food has been fantastic so give it a go!
Zuni is ALWAYS the best!
Thank you for opening outdoor dining. It was perfect! We loved our whole experience! 🍴♥️
Was my friends bday, our server wasn’t very engaging. We would have ordered another bottle of Rose but was never asked nor did we see her very often. Bread never came out once we ordered it and had to ask for it from the support staff, still water was empty and had to ask for more water. Still wasn’t delivered sparkling was. We have been coming to Zuni since the day you opened. Always a fabulous experience. This experience wasn’t memorable and was a waste of $350.00. Server would have gotten a 30-40% tip however I gave her 18% and felt she didn’t earn that! However being a DOO for a restaurant group I know we all have bad days. I’d highly suggest additional training on customer service from our server and support staff. Management was super kind and seated us right away.
I’d suggest taking the art off the windows and or share with customers that the ambiance of what I once knew as Zuni Cafe, brilliant windows, amazing service etc. The owner was dining across from us and our server was more about his table than ours. Our lack of service and the attention that was paid to their table was night and day. Unfortunately we won’t be back! To many choices in the city.
Great food as always though it’s a limited menu these days. Warm and friendly service. Looking forward to getting back inside of Zuni! But always a great experience!
We always love Zuni and look forward to being there again when you reopen!
Zuni always delivers! I love this restaurant.
Even on the sidewalk only, it’s still Zuni. The shoestring potatoes, the amazing food, the cocktails.... what was ever and even still not to love? ❤️❤️
Great food and service. Excellent selection available. Salads, soups, and entrees all top notch.
I love Zuni. I have a tradition of going there on my birthday, and was pleased this year would not have to be an exception. They did a nice job. I miss the lovely interior, but the food and service were both at their usual standard.
My partner and I had been wanting to try Zuni Cafe for a while, and it did not disappoint! The roasted chicken was incredible! The outdoor dining was a little noisy, but the heaters make sitting outside very comfortable.
The restaurant apparently doesn’t read the notes that you can write in when you make the reservation. our special request was totally ignored. Outdoor dining is on a public sidewalk where homeless people troll up and down all day. The stench really takes away from the flavor of the food.
The French fried potatoes are worth the trip alone. Unforgettable texture and unlike anything else in the city.
An exceptional outdoor dining experience, would highly recommend
Outdoor dining on Market Street is awful. People yelling at one another as they walk by, sirens, etc. Clearly not Zuni’s fault. Service was lacking. Not sure if with Covid the servers are less present. We had a spill and there was no assistance. I had to use people’s napkins and take them to them. BUT servers were wonderful and nice when they were there. Will still support this wonderful restaurant. Food is delicious!
Outdoor dining during Covid at it’s best!
Oh, how we love you, Zuni!!
You are always so special, so splendid, so sumptuous!!!
Thank you for the great service - even in the mini rain!
It was cold outside. They had several heaters inside that were not in use . When I asked why I was told they needed propane! Why Zuni can’t get propane I have NO idea...
A lil gem of restaurant with amazing food and outstanding service. We tried several appetizer & dishes and everything tasted so yum
Food and service was great until another server poured a bottle of red wine and walked away. As I went to the restroom I heard the waiters talking about that someone poured a bottle of wine at table 6 And it was supposed to be for table 7. I got my bill for 213.00 when I gave them my card to pay for it another bill came back for 293.00 and a charge for the bottle of wine for 68.00 that I did not even order or that any of the waiters said anything about. Very disappointed with the serving staff
A lovely, enjoyable , friendly, pleasant ,
delicious lunch experience! Not easy to provide these days. Congrats, Zuni!
Thank you, Sharon
excellent food, good menu choice, prompt service even though all tables are outside
Outdoor experience a little challenging because of unmasked street people passing by.
Great outdoor seating. Can’t wait to be inside again.
The food is great as usual. Outside dining on Market St is very urban, but not bad. Food and service more then made up for it. Still a favorite in the city.
Oh how we'd missed your delicious food. We didn't get the chicken this time (we typically get that at night for dinner) but the Caesar salad, super yummy fall soup, shoestring fries' and the burger did not disappoint. Sitting on the side walk was made as pleasant as possible. The bar tender did not disappoint either. Still one of my all time favorites. So glad you are surviving these crazy times.
