They’ve given up on the notion of providing good food. Just a money grab. Plenty of other options out there.
Spicy Beef Tenderloin was amazing. We enjoyed all the dishes.
Food and service was good. Dined in for a birthday celebration and was seated downstairs, in a dark corner, next to another table while the entire restaurant was empty at the time – although the reservation was made about a month in advance. I suggest if you want a nice view, or to even get a glimpse of the photo worthy grass-wall, that you go in person/call after you make your reservation and request/specify for your seating to be upstairs where the “elites” are seated.
Amazing tasting foods .Service wad fast . Its expensive but you grt what you pay for
Please lower the sound (not music) We could not have a conversation
Rude and obnoxious hostesses. This place is inhospitable to LGBTQIA community. so many better places to go, thank goodness.
This restaurant has absolutely amazing food and drinks. Wait staff is wonderful and very attentive. This has become one of our favorite NYC spots. Pricey but worth it!!
Made us wait one hour for a table despite having a reservation
Great food and nice touch on the birthday plate!
Overall everything was pretty terrific and the service was great except for our main server who seemed angry every time we wanted to order anything
Great restaurant and bar ruined by the arrogance of most of the staff we encountered.
Also very surprised to note that there was no vaccine check in entry and not a single staff member wearing a mask.
Service was great, but there may have been some food contamination as we all had really bad bowels post meal. Not my first time at zuma, so it may have been some cross contamination.
I expected more. The place is beautiful but the food was ok
The table was on the corner so I was dissatisfied
Terrific in every way: service, food, ambiance. But oh so expensive!
Friend from out of town
Bad experience.Mix up between courses took close to 50 minutes between eack.server apologized for delay.Placed near loudspeaker.Pd close to 700 dollars for apry of four.
Horrid service, fantastic food. I’ve rarely experienced service this poor, they were grossly understaffed due to a large birthday party.
I got food poising from the restaurant, spent next day in the hospital. I called the restaurant and they never called me back.
Be careful when eating there. They were in a run, very busy.
Not dining there anytime soon!!
From start to finish the food and service were just impeccable.
fabulous cocktails! food was excellent and the service wonderful. we did not like the spinach salad.
The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was great. I would recommend this place to everyone! I’m so happy we went here.
Was really disappointed this visit as highly-priced truffle dishes came with either preserved truffle or truffle oil. These used to come with fresh truffle.
As a New Yorker, many of us are just finally venturing out to see people we have not seen since Feb 2020. So we specifically choose places we feel nostalgic about going back to from pre-pandemic. Furthermore, we (2 people) like to eat and drink. 2 hours and $250 later we are told that if we want to have another drink we should move to the bar (granted would not have been an issue if we had ordered dessert but I guess Zuma has not heard of liquid dessert). If there was a line of people waiting to be seated AND all tables filled with people we would understand BUT there was no line of people AND there were many EMPTY tables around us. I (a Latin male) was seated with a Black woman… Would they have made us feel this uncomfortable had we been 2 white people? We will never know! But what we do know is that we will NOT spend our hard earned $$ at this venue ever again because luckily NYC has MANY options to dine at!
I love zuma. This was the second time my boyfriend and I ate there. The Robata scallops are to die for. Overall the service is excellent. Really amazing restaurant thank you for your excellent food quality.
Such a cool restaurant. Service was excellent. Good was incredible. We’ve been to the one in Miami and Las Vegas and NYC is as good as Miami. A great overall experience.
Worst service ever. Spoke to manager regarding service and he was of no help and just offered me and my guest a round of drinks. Wasn’t pleased with the service at all. They forgot things we ordered then brought my steak out and my friend sat waiting the entire time watching me eat and her food finally came. By this time we were over the dinner and ready to go. Waited hours and wasn’t even able to order dessert because they took so long with every little thing you order.
Great place to celebrate my birthday
Great food and drink!
Food was very good. Significantly understaffed. The waiter tried his best Weak apologies. Nothing offered for the wait and inconvenience. For the prices charged, the service should be top notch. Quite disappointing.
We were seated at the bar and didn’t have quite the high touch experience I expected for the cost. I have been many times, so maybe I had been spoiled in prior visits.
Food was great and service was really good. Will definitely be coming back.
Great food poor host
Great place, amazing food although pricy
Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Would recommend this place to anyone interested in a fine dining experience centered around amazing seafood
Needed to wait an hour after reservation time to finally be seated. They left off two sushi rolls that we ordered even after reminding them several times. When the bill finally came, Zuma included the missing rolls on the check. Very let down by this experience.
#1 over rated in nyc hands down
